Dagoth I Am
the snow built up around the smokehouse.
the sun shone on the snow.
and the sun's rays were blistering against my eyes.
the long night was well on its way
so i made good use of what was left of the daylight
walking out toward the main street
and coming back home again.
sleeping, i sang a short song about you.
and i knew every word of that song was true.
well, almost every word.

ice froze the green stems of the daffodils
ice formed carrots on my window sill.
i was blistering, blazing away.
and it had always been my tendency to let things slide,
but i went to the window with my eyes open wide.
and you were taking on prospect ice,
coming to ward the door.
you want some more?
i've got some more for you.
i've got just what you're looking for.

Dagoth I Am
What makes you think you can be so pretty?
And what makes you think you can be so great?
And what makes you think you can be so intelligent?
And what makes you think you can be so far away?

It's no stretch to say that I am pulling out my hair
And darling I'm patiently waiting to fly my *** out there
And I love you

What makes you think you can be so wonderful?
And what makes you think you can be so keen?
And what makes me think I can be so hurtful?
And what makes me think I can be so mean?

Girl you know I'm sorry I haven't been the best support
But darling you know that I love you,
And i would build a fort to protect you
From the wind

What makes you think you can be so terrific?
And what makes you think you can be be so neat?
And what makes you think you can be so beau-ti-fic?
And what makes you think you can be so sweet?

It's no stretch to say that I am pulling out my hair
And darling I'm patiently waiting to fly my *** out there
And I love you

I am the chorus..

You are the verse.

He's the bridge.

She's the intro.

We fit better...

beyond the storms rising in the west
beyond the lonesome moon and her outstretched arms
beyond the fallen arms of grace

I will be there
waiting
for you

beyond the stardust trails of memory
beyond the aqua depths of sea crushed forms
beyond the hallowed shores of belonging

I will be there
waiting
for you

beyond the sheltered solace of reason
beyond the heart-bled felt sinew of time
beyond the crimson ashes of soft kisses

I will be there
waiting
for you

beyond the mist of winters stone cold breath
beyond the brittle forms of longing
beyond the brazen neon of midnight's gaze

I will be there
waiting
for you

b for short
Oh, I see—you liked it when I used that big word, huh?
You want me to use some more?
Mm, let me just grab my pocket Thesaurus.
Yeah, that's right baby, I take it everywhere with me—
I find it quite useful in these… situations.

Right now, I could give you seven variations
of the word “****.”
Seductive
         Arousing
                Provocative
                          Sensuous
Mmhm, you liked that one, didn't you?
                    Libidinous
           Suggestive
Titillating…
You'd like more, I can tell,
but I need you to want it.

Let's go somewhere quiet
and thumb through
my college style manuals for a few hours.
We could talk about sentence variety,
the Oxford comma, some syntax,
and mm, if you're feeling real good,
maybe even discuss the proper usage of a semi-colon.

Just know, I've been saving semi-colons
for, you know, that special someone.

If things get a little steamy, we can go down to the basement
and I'll show you my Scrabble board.
I'll set you up for a triple-word score,
and you can put together some of those high-scoring,
two-letter words that really get me going.
Oh yeah, I think I'd be into your strategy.

When the game is over, I'll lean you back,
come in real close, and whisper some Neruda,
some Cummings,
some Dickinson
softly into your ear.
Afterward, I’ll trace lines of Hughes and Whitman
down your naked spine with my fingers.

I'm sure you know it's only polite
to return the favor.

It's just an idea.
I know it sounds good.
Trust me, I'll be gentle—
But baby, believe me—
I could punctuate you in all the right places.

Roger Turner - Poet
We crossed paths a thousand times
Tunnel vision, never seeing
Focused on just our desires
But, never really seeing

The person that we needed to
Give us purpose, be our one
Was oh so close through out our life
But true vision, we had none

We are two halves of one heart
We are two halves of one whole
We are two halves of one mind
We are two halves of one soul

Different schools, and different treks
So close and yet so far
We lived in the same complex
We drank at the same bar

Same interests, different orbits
The same friends, but still apart
I'd never ever met you
But, I knew I loved you from the start

We are two halves of one heart
We are two halves of one whole
We are two halves of one mind
We are two halves of one soul

You know just what I'm thinking
Just as I the same with you
Just a look, a simple movement
And I know what you will do

We were searching for each other
Though we both knew we would find
The completion of each other
We just had to give it time

Idle ambitions
And unattainable goals
Squandered by those
Who don’t even know

They don’t know where you’ve been
They’ll never know where you’ll go
They won’t give you a chance
To even show them your soul.
They can’t comprehend that
There is so much more
Behind those green eyes
In that mind of yours.

Anxieties raise
As they wander below
Unable to relax until
You are finally alone
Alone with your thoughts
And alone with your dreams
The ones you’ll never say
The ones you can never speak

**They don’t know where you’ve been
They’ll never know where you’ll go
They won’t give you a chance
To even show them your soul
They can’t comprehend that
There is so much more
Behind those green eyes
In that mind of yours.
Song maybe...
I keep waiting,
for the right thing to say,
But baby it's hard,
cos I've never felt this way,
So I'll keep waiting,
but it does me no good,
Cos your hesitation,
Keeps me from thinking I should,
Maybe I don't, understand,
what you're thinking of me,
Maybe I don't, understand,
What you want us to be,

But I'll keep tryin',
No I won't stop tryin',
To say, all the things, I wanna say,
I'm not denyin',
That you are tryin',
But baby, listen to me,
I want you to stay,
I want you to know,
You're amazing.

I keep picturing,
How our life could be,
If only you'd tell me,
How you really feel for me,
Is this just a game to you?
Are you just passing the time?
Maybe I don't wanna know,
As long as you're still mine,

But I keep trying,
No I won't stop trying,
trust me I care way too much,
to be lying,
but don't waste my time,
If you're not feelin' fine,
Just please let me know,
What's on your mind,
I want you to know,
You're amazing.

I don't know what you want from me,
but I know what I want to be,
And baby,
I can't keep pretending,
You only see what you want to see,
If you don't want to be with me,
Then baby,
This is ending,

But I won't stop trying,
Even though you're flying,
Way past me now,
And I'm here cryin',
I can't keep relying on you if you don't,
Know what you're doin',
I want you to stay,
but baby I'm Through with it,
You're out there somewhere and I'm here singing,
You're amazing,
Yeah you're amazing.
