I don't have words for my desperation
I only have dreams of you

I thought I had something to write,
but instead I'm buzzing strangely
as if I'm a conduit for the lost currents in the air,
   The static electricity.

I yearn to untangle.

My insides are a coil of jumper cables
and perhaps I'll take up yoga.

And then I will write a story that weighs more than the factory which made the pen,
And it will be such that the whole world will read it
and weep.
And the whole world will be that one guy who rows the gondola boat in city park
because I will have left it
by the dock.
And all the people will return again and again
To purchase another ride,
To sit in his boat and glide on the water
and hear him tell the story,

And their tears will fill the lake.
The man who rows his gondola boat in City Park makes his living this way. They say that just before the storm* he felt it coming so he sank his gondola boat down in the water, and when the storm had passed he returned. He swam down, released his boat so it may float back up to the top and it surely it rose, unharmed.

Leave me with scars
and echos of broken promises
Stain my skin with ink
and blood
and the  ghost of your touch
Just take away
the fire that burns your name
into the skin of my heart

All his words were hers
Her smile were the curves found in each letter
Her eyes were all the colors of his dreams
Her name was the music of his prayers
She filled his heart with fairy tales and poetry
And in the end he was a book only she could read

I know the elemental truth of a sunset
and that purity spills from the light of the moon

I know an older voice rushes through rivers
giving wisdom to fish and turning pebbles to gold.

I know trees in the forest preserve an endless circle
and creatures within it commune with the Earth

I know a mountain casts judgement on all thats beneath it
and its shadow beguiles with the beauty of awe

I know the sea’s deep mystery pulls me under
showing glimpses of a kingdom from before you and I

I know the immeasurable distance of the stars vanish
when we harness energy and put its force with our dreams.

Above all else when things of the human touch leave me unsure
I know of the natural truth that shows me more.

Rocks that are shaped as they're hewn
Stick fast to the path they're made to bind
But formless dust, windswept strewn
Travels further undefined.

Be with me at the reckoning
Be the smooth stone in the pocket,
The uncut weight;
Outside of deeds and memories
And with me, you'd be with me.

Master Manipulator
Parading around with all his strings
Trying to control
Persuade
Use her to carry out his way of things
Why does everything always
have to be on his terms
Why does she even listen to
all his mean and careless words
She is a real person
not just a puppet for his life
Now on to him and his ways
She finally sees the real him and understands
and is why she now carries scissors
in her hand :)
