IS THIS ONLY BOTHERING ME
SHOULDN'T POEMS HAVE A RHYME
OR AM I REALLY WRONG THIS TIME?

You'll never know
How close you are
To finding out
You're never far.

Am I cliche? Or am I someone
Trying to fit in a box?
'Cause the last time I checked, I drew outside the lines
Because being an anomaly rocks.

A new chapter is scary
Like a whole entire new book
My mind's still stuck in the last one
And I don't know how I look.

If I had six fingers
I doubt I'd type much better
Than when I go one-fingered
On my iPod writing blank verse.

All the music runs together
When you listen to an album all at once
It's hard to tell where one song ends
And another begins the trance.

I don't know
If I'm tired or depressed
But all I know
Is I don't want to leave my bed.

Everyone in history
Is playing with their phone
Everyone, I mean literally
So at least I'm not alone.

She gobbles up short stories,
She scoffs down lines of prose;
She reads the long tales through the night—
Bree's appetite plainly shows.

They haven't had an Asian
In my favourite TV show
If the next companion's ginge, then
I'll **** Vincent van Gogh.

I was the girl who never got angry
I never was tempted that way
But now I am angered by all that you do
And I'm definitely not okay.

I watch as my emotions
Gently roll up and down
That was an understatement
They're faster than I can write down

So now they're adding hashtags
To everything under the sun
Don't they know that in the end
These too will be over and done?
