o goddess...the tears that spill like oil
chokes the seas...
pray for
us left lost in the mist...

In solitude I sit
quieting my mind
with peace and stillness all around
my inner self I find

A tranquility so beautiful
A silenced deafening roar
of normal life that carries on
beyond this temple door

Colours vivid, vibrant hues
a clarity unmatched
shattered like glass the moment that
the door became unlatched

Try as I might the moment lost
at least for now it seems
My meditation gave just a hint
a taste of the serene.

Blessed be the mother
Of the child who isn’t even hers
Blessed be the lovers
Who endure the hateful slurs

Blessed be the doctor
Whose services are given for free
Blessed be the teacher
That taught right by you and me

Blessed be the babe
Who sees not in terms of hate
Blessed be the man
That stops before it’s too late

Blessed be a world
In which there is hope
Blessed be the words
That you and I wrote.
The canoe kept us
apart
each on our own
hard metal bench,
closer to each other
than we had been
in months.

We rode
finally
in the same direction,
paddling
first on one side,
then the other.

In the calming moments
when rocks were not
running up
to test us,
we found places
to lay our paddles down
and glide
in the quietness.

Both of us
checking
the sky for clouds.
The fallen leaves
are gauzing thin
as they lay decaying
on the forest floor
and the frost that formed
crystal by crystal
slowly in the night
with the morning
sparkles to become
the jewels of fairies.

She is fluttering
her feminine silhouette
flirtatious against the grass
so distorted
that your eyelashes
can not catch her
but only a gleaming hint
of gossamer wings
delicate and ethereal
is reflecting in the morning's
slanting sun.

You are tempted
into probing under a leaf
with a broken twig
seeking her soft footprints
but they make no mark
on the fragile leaves
or in the softened grass
and her clandestine space
is too elusive
for your eyes.

She is hiding
veiled and disguised
carefully concealed
and you can only see
the glittering cobwebs
formed by a hungry spider
into a intricate misted mesh
catching careless flies
and morning dew.

She is fooling you
once again obscure
and her transparent laughter
like the soft spoken sound
of a faraway subtle pan-flute
is floating with your
sheer wonderings
in the waking light.

I feel warm as the fire, as bright as the sun
As calm as the water, with nature I'm one

As playful as the ducks, unassuming as trees
As peaceful as the branches blowing in the breeze

There's a dimension within that opens its door
When I'm out in nature, a connection I adore

Being out in nature with all that Chi
Is filling me full of our inherent energy

You my angel of only two
no longer do you simply coo
For now you  have the love of song
and you love to sing it all day long
and you sing it so softly sweet
with your own timing and beat
twinkle, twinkle
your eyes beam bright
you reach for those stars
and their  twinkling light

How you love to sing
about those diamonds in the sky
and  if I could ,up we would fly
and pluck a star down
just to keep
to light your pillow as
you sleep

Sharing a song is such a good way
to tuck in the heart
and end a long day

My little man I understand
you can build a mighty track
and put to work those little trains
with names and faces
they'll go places
under bridges and over hills
hang on tight , don't slip those wheels
choo-choo you shout
your oh so thrilled
you've made a world all your own
setting up ever track and every stone
And now we go chugging along
and singing many trainy songs
How I love this simple time
watching you find yourself
in a world that you designed

A bouquet of flowers blesses our space
By bringing a piece of nature to our place

Their beauty is simple but intense
Bringing us into the present tense

Greenery holding the background drop
Beautiful colors displaying their crop

Velvety textures share depths from within
Connecting us to our inner body dimension

Stillness reflecting an aliveness and peace
Creating a moment for some breathing space

Aromatic splashes fill the air
Molecules dancing everywhere

We can't recognize what we don't have within us
Bouquets can help us resonate with our inner stillness

Thank you for sharing your natural essence
Abundantly growing within each one of us
