Breezes stir the linen curtains
Vases of lilacs, azaleas, daffodils, buttercups,
Daisies, and many other flowers
Sit upon your nightstand
The butterflies dance in your room
And brighten your days
With warm honeyed rays
Of sunlight falling down
Liking the curtain of dusk
Falling down after its rehearsal
Of day is over
Tiny Fairies sprinkle pixie dust
All around your room
In hopes of you feeling well again
Pedal harps never sounded prettier
Than when they cheered you up
And filled your days
With a moment--a spark of joy
Horses gallop as if to encourage you
To feel better again
They're glad to have heard
That you feel better again
All you need is to take a little time
Glitter never sparkled
So bright and bold
As it did for you
Unicorns never flew so high
In the mystical world
Than it did that day
And I never felt so good
As I did when I heard
That all you need is
A
Little
Time
And you'll
Feel
Better
Again

When does enough become enough
When do I finally cave
I tried to love you
But it wasn't me who failed
You failed my heart
I entrusted you with it all
I pushed past the heartache
Refused to bow to the pain
And you blew it like a kiss
I'm glad I can say
You're the past
Frozen in time
I'm the future
Always moving forward
Dedicated to a great poet, Haley Dalton.

Happy Belated Birthday, my dear!
I hope it was happy and full of cheer,
God bless you, my friend;
And lots of happiness to you I do send.
I hope your birthday was happy,
With smiles and giggles sunny,
The best of wishes I wish for you;
For a friend loyal and true!

How I yearn to make this a gladsome day
So you may know how much I love thee dear!
Words so difficult for me to portray
How I yearn to make this a gladsome day
Flowing with sunshine through each honeyed ray
May God comfort thy heart from ev'ry fear
How I yearn to make this a gladsome day
So you may know how much I love thee dear!
Dedicated to my dear husband Timothy!

The burdens are
difficult to carry
all alone.
With a friend
to help you tote
them, you're
not all
alone.
The burdens
are so much lighter
with a friend to help.
That's what
friends
are
for,
to help each other.

When I was little
often I watched my mom in the kitchen
working till late night
kitchen was her cocoon
kitchen was her heaven
I had to pretend to be sick
to take her out from there
Once I caught her sobbing
at the kitchen sink
as a child I asked her so innocently
"Did daddy make you cry"
No darling she said
She smiled and continued with dishes..
and left me with the question WHY?
Years later..
and today I am a mother myself
The tragedy in mom's kitchen still haunting my life
watching my mom crying in her kitchen
was not a good picture,
not a good memory as a child
not at all.....
The kitchen was her castle
In the warmth of her kitchen
she made miracles…she created magic upon magic
splendid recipes... superb dishes
feeding her loved ones... with love
but Today I realized  how my mother
released herself and that could have made her survive
By working so hard in the kitchen
By often hiding her despairs and sorrows
Her kitchen was her secret hiding place
every time she was hurt...
when the world treated her so unfairly
In the comfort of her Kitchen
She consoled herself....
How did I realize this after so many many years?
today for the very first time
I cried myself at the kitchen sink
In my very own cozy kitchen
over a pile of dinner plates ,
almost breaking a glass
so afraid to lose control...
but my kitchen is heaven that saves me...
as my tears are falling over the bubbles in the sink
How I came to understand my mother's feelings...
by standing there in the kitchen...
remisniscing... and..
breathing this life
feeling this life
experiencing with life
living with life....
as long as mothers are alive
they live their life
to share the laughter and joy
of their husband and children
to endure the pain and sorrows
but hide them once in a while....
in mom's heavenly kitchen
with love to my late mom... Rest in Peace

She's the best Mom
Anyone could ever find
I love her beyond words
She pens the best novels
Better than anyone could ever write
I shall always love her
She is cute, sweet and cuddly
Like a teddy bear
And like a doll
She is pretty and sweet
She plays such beautiful
Pieces of music on the
Piano
Which sings with beauty
When her delicate hands
Dance across the keys
And she takes care of us
And of the cats too
She'll always be the best
The best...Ever
She is always kind
And loving
Always graceful
And dainty
In her own way
I am blessed
To have her
For a Mother
