Pow!! here! We live in the blackest of space!
our small grip on planet Earth!
spins us far from any Sun.
We live a life you can only know,
by the sacrifice of all else;
Come North, and start to dig in,
and wait for months for light,

issues of the heart can get muddied
it all started out so simple
emotion is a tiger, purring

I cannot swim without water
and I cannot breathe
if you will not let me
I will have said something
when you have been listening
and I will always be
the quiet storm of my own horizon

the rumble of coming months
darkness greedy for light
the last dying flames
slip slowly down the horizon
Our winter is blowing
down from northern time
anothers summer just beginning
while we start closing down

sounds to make you know
so early a strength blowing
this side of October
come real winter
Lovers of the wind
we will be snuggled in heaven

born out the darkness of the womb
we left our world behind
to re-enter the earth 6ft down
  for our spirits re-birth

Cicadas and katydids are calling
Breezes blow in from my open window
Roses are blooming and leaves are falling
The moon's rays hitting my lawn look like snow
Owls are singing from majestic trees
While sweet Bluebirds are sleeping in bushes
Night dances through the softly blowing breeze
And Midnight silently the world hushes
Dewdrops like jewels shine on roses sweet
And the stars twinkle all through the calm night
While the Fairies dance on enchanted feet
And the moon happily shines very bright
And I under my warm covers doth sleep
Until pretty morning brightly doth peep.

Walk through the gate there
and see so many flowers in bloom.
Stroll the well worn path
and hear bird songs.
Orchids grow by creek
with foot-bridge over waters.
At dusk, in Spring,
you can hear hooting owl.
Loop pathway,
winds back to thick fir and evergreens.
A small meadow
full of fireflies at night and cricket song.
Nature plays nocturne
for me to sleep by night.
A rhapsody
and reverie by day if I listen.
Walk through the gate,
never know what loveliness await.
I sit all alone,
but never long lonesome.
Sunset so colourful,
like Sunrise.
To share this would
be only paradise complete.
Walk through the gate there
and see many flowers in bloom.
Perpetual bloom.

Fresh blossoms from
trellis near the garden arbor.
Sweet perfumes.
Ah! lovely to behold, as climbing
they entwined, embraced...
Ruby red, Blush pink,
woven, wound,
and
produce
a focal point.
Stop. Yes, I stop,
admire this sight I behold.
Sweet entwined roses, with a gaiety, to
lift sadness and scents, pleasant
scents to fill the
air.

It was oppressive that day
the heat
vegetation withering in its gaze
Possums dropped from trees
Roads melted in the haze
Sweat hugging their skin
they recede into the cool dark
oblivious to the sleeping slayer
waiting to be awoken
A single spark
A discarded cigarette
The roaring wind
a high speed train
driving heat from the depths of hell before it
Ignition
No slow burner
a raging temper
Calamity erupts
Ash eclipse of the sun
Fighters
no strangers to danger
retreat to safer ground
Fire ***** oxygen from air
feeding the inferno
Rips tree trunks from earth
Flames
melt paint from doors
flesh from bones
The fronts pass
the fire recedes
A hush falls on the highlands
in the aftermath
the land a stranger to the observer
Nature stripped to a skeleton
charred bricks, melted glass
The detritus a precursor to recovery
wild flowers nursed by the light kiss of rain

The sunset glistens through the trees,
The forest floor is covered with pine needles and leaves,
The trees in the breezes creak and moan;
I love coming here alone.

Everlasting ferns at my feet,
A pile of rocky boulders make a beautiful seat,
When I come here I think of days of long ago;
And about creeks that bubble and flow.

Written about a month or so ago. This place is my favourite place to sit and think at! It's so beautiful!
