My heart mutters softly
The secrets of time
Madness and mystery
No reason or rhyme

The dawn greets me brightly
With fire in the skies
The glint of sword in hand
Reflects the world in my eyes

Fear and death lie ominous
In a vast nefarious abyss
Seeking the sinister sovereignty
Of love's fatal kiss

Crystal notes calmly cascade
Through the tragic tempest of greif
Sung by the spirit of the eagle's cry
Whispering the harmonies of belief

Here is the poem,
a train on tracks who knows where;
"what wonderful sights!"

I left the house of the tempest brewing,
Spinning like a rod, spun into flame
And came upon the redwood forest,
Eternal, shouting out heavens name.

The sun was indifferent, the creek shuffled
Its lament, the birds fluted their dirge—
I was so small, in the red giants grove,
Yet, felt so beloved, my pain was purged.

And I warmly came to see again—
My eyes, through the needles drove,
What a trifling is ones fleeting mood,
How true, heroic, immortal is my love.

There is a sun,
Brighter than your face shining.
There is a sky,
Deeper than your blue eyes.
There is a Moon,
Lights up the day that's dying,

Chorus:
What would you say—
If I should leave you crying?
What would you say—
If I should leave?
Should I leave you crying?

There is a cloud,
Why must you be so proud, my dream?
There is a sea,
Why must it be we're drowning?
There is a place,
Where we can be, both towering,

Chorus:

What would you say— If I should leave you?
There is a light— Why won't you see?

There is a dream,
If you believe as I do.
There is a way,
To keep the Sun behind you.
There is a love,
Truer than light that binds you,

What would you say?
There is a light that finds you,
There is a light that finds you.

Innocence is bliss
    or is that ignorance?
    why not and what ifs
    coulda, woulda, shoulda
   but I didn't
   and here we are
   just me and my words
   and you and your eyes
  no sense in stopping now
  keep reading
  I have a secret
but I won't tell you till the end
life is so very delicate
(no, that's not the secret)
we all know this is true
look around
it surrounds you
the way a bee crashes
into a butterfly
mid-flight
the way her eyes
softened when they looked
at mine
how paper tears so simply
yet, cuts your finger
just as easily
how a tired father
whispers
"I love you"
making his first
appearance
at tuck in time
and the way the light
combs the hair of the earth
with a little help
courtesy of the wind

You are a masterpiece
perfectly crafted
a blue print
built to life
by the breath
of pure energy
the essence
of the Universe

That was the secret
(tell everybody)

a face,
a voice,
a warm touch,

I will allow myself
to fall in love will all things

as I self-agree to act with non-clinging.

the clouds will pass as lovely,

should I suffer to grasp?
