You know how a person cuts to relieve their pain?
To rid the sorrows of their cruel reality.
To forget everything in their taunting lives.
To see the blood drip down forming a little pool of pain.
Well writers bleed too.
They may not cut but we are also hurting.
We feel the same pain you do.
The hurt and suffering.
The razor is my pen.
The paper is my arm.
And the writing is my bleeding.
How cute we were,
Elementary.
How innocent we were,
No worries.

Seeing you for the first time
In about a decade.
Your familiar smile,
Your dimples didn't fade.

Childhood friend,
I remember you.
My childhood friend,
Remembers me too.

I am so glad for familiar smiles
And dimples that never fade.

I just CANNOT do this anymore.
I can't.
I can't.
I WON'T.
How am I supposed to, when I see things that aren't there?
Have nightmares that last for months?
Have a broken heart?
Have scars from cuts?
I want to die.
*HELP ME
;( I'm in a really bad place right now....It'll pass....maybe.

I must not gaze at them although
Your eyes are dawning day;
I must not watch you as you go
Your sun-illumined way;

I hear but I must never heed
The fascinating note,
Which, fluting like a river reed,
Comes from your trembing throat;

I must not see upon your face
Love's softly glowing spark;
For there's the barrier of race,
You're fair and I am dark.

The empty, the deserted, the lonely
Behind the frosted mountains
Comes another day, another bright morning
The broken dream, the unfulfilled promise
Of childhood years seeming ever so dear
“We will run away there,
in a place where no one can find us
where no one can see us,
I pinky promise.”
O, whatever happened to that precious pinky
Did it break? Did it fall apart?
Wishing that pinky was the only damaged good…
Seeing that last breadth
The beating heart muting into an eternal silence
The rosy cheeks paling into a sheet of thin ice
The eyes ... o the eyes
Once filled with life and love, with wit and humor
At times, with tears brimming on the edge,
All looks out as a glassy ball of sea green
Then closing those lids framed by coal black lashes
Only to know that they will never open ever again
All takes about eternity and a half
O the empty, the deserted, the lonely
O, on that hill where no one can find us
Where no one can see us
Waking up to another bright morning
Without anyone to hold
Except those childhood years seeming ever so dear.
Power went down twice today
Once was just a flicker
In fact in terms of laughter
I would call that one a snicker

The second time we lost it all
The house went cold and dark
So, I got the dogs both on a leash
And I took them to the park

Five hours passed before they came
And said "The power's back"
It was just then I started to
Have an I.T heart attack

I'm not one for computers
The phone, or tablet too
They had gone down with the internet
And I knew not what to do

Each electronic item
That resides inside this place
Defaults to needing passwords
And well, me...I'm so off base

I couldn't watch the tv
The computer screen just stared
It kept asking for a password
and I admit, I was a bit scared

I didn't phone my spouse to tell him
That I didn't have a clue
I'd wait for my young daughter
She'd know just what to do

In our house things are different
We never phone up a help line
Our kids reset the passwords
And our kids are eight and nine

They'll fix what I can't restart
They'll get me back on the tv
And the best things with this I.T team
Is that all their help is free.
