I raise up my hands to heaven
and say to God,
"Pick me up
Embrace me
Love me"
But then I shrink back
and I insist
that God must be hurt
by my exposed, broken shards

"I am not whole,
and not huggable
My pain is like thorns
that cut and inflict"
And so I look away with remorse

But God answers me
as only He can do, saying,
"Then we have a lot in common
Or did you forget the cross?
My Son on it?
Jesus, who was the most
broken of all"

I agree that I do...
I must!
But still...

"A nail in a hand
A wreath of thorns for a crown
He died quite damaged
for those like you
Yet was I not there to embrace Him
and welcome Him home?"

In spite of my tears, I reason
My mind and heart agree
So my Father and I embrace
and I accepted God's grace

The mossy green earth
Kisses my feet
As I wander through grassy fields

And the babbling brook
Trickles and laughs
As its water dances across the stones

Here in this valley
I find repose
This peace, this quiet, refeshes my soul
Memories of Ireland.
Comfort in the valley

6.8.16
Ere, in the northern gale,
The summer tresses of the trees are gone,
The woods of Autumn, all around our vale,
     Have put their glory on.

     The mountains that infold,
In their wide sweep, the coloured landscape round,
Seem groups of giant kings, in purple and gold,
     That guard the enchanted ground.

I roam the woods that crown
The upland, where the mingled splendours glow,
Where the gay company of trees look down
     On the green fields below.

     My steps are not alone
In these bright walks; the sweet south-west, at play,
Flies, rustling, where the painted leaves are strown
     Along the winding way.

And far in heaven, the while,
The sun, that sends that gale to wander here,
Pours out on the fair earth his quiet smile,--
     The sweetest of the year.

     Where now the solemn shade,
Verdure and gloom where many branches meet;
So grateful, when the noon of summer made
     The valleys sick with heat?

Let in through all the trees
Come the strange rays; the forest depths are bright?
Their sunny-coloured foliage, in the breeze,
     Twinkles, like beams of light.

     The rivulet, late unseen,
Where bickering through the shrubs its waters run,
Shines with the image of its golden screen,
     And glimmerings of the sun.

     But 'neath yon crimson tree,
Lover to listening maid might breathe his flame,
Nor mark, within its roseate canopy,
     Her blush of maiden shame.

     Oh, Autumn! why so soon
Depart the hues that make thy forests glad;
Thy gentle wind and thy fair sunny noon,
And leave thee wild and sad!

Ah! 'twere a lot too blessed
For ever in thy coloured shades to stray;
Amid the kisses of the soft south-west
     To rove and dream for aye;

And leave the vain low strife
That makes men mad--the tug for wealth and power,
The passions and the cares that wither life,
     And waste its little hour.
Worries in life
★Are just a bad dream★
When they begin to occur
Pinch yourself awake so
You float into the
Realization that things just
Aren't as bad as the seem

Let your brain realize
○ºEach morning brings forthº○
A new sunrise
Thoses worries you carried
In the past were gracefully conquered
They had no purpose
They did not last

Today step forth
++Knowing you are alive++
Be thankful for this day
Live life to the fullest
Do your best to strive

Glowing with a smile is
:-D Guaranteed to be :-D
Less stressful than worries
in life so realize
Each vibrant moment
Be happy to be

Good things come to those who wait.
A virtue Our True Father is teaching us
If only I can grasp this trait
He will one day
Take me to my true home
Something today I only
Fathom as ok
It will be so much more than fine
I do not have an adjective
That comes close, pehaps divine
Until then, I will hold tight to ride
On through the difficulties
Trials of this life
I will try my hardest
Be patient, though I may fail
I will love others
Until I get it right!!
Meanwhile I will continue
To reside on this earth
Until I learn The patience
Of His Son, a battle
I feel each day
As if I've just begun.

The sunlight pours in
My soul stretches forth, yearning
For Your love and warmth

Grandma said,
'they dropped incendiary bombs',
as I sat on her knee,
at the beach in Whitley bay
from
South Shields
on
a fine young
yesterday.

She'd talked before about the war
which made no sense to me
I had ice cream for a nice dream
and a paddle in the sea.
