That Brief Moment In Heaven
Her hand fell in the cool waters
she felt free and alive
her red hair cascaded in the sunlight
and for that moment I was in heaven.

She smiled at me with so much love
and I wanted to cry
she is that magic you never want to loose
with all the love she does ooze

She is a fairy princess
in a pink frilly dress
I adore her
and wish she was mine

My path is not hers
and to cross hers was a gift
that brief moment
that brief moment in heaven

I will never forget

Mr Time
Time will call me soon to account
tell me I have had my lot
I will tell time, No I don't want to go
from cradled death to cot

I am gonna tell time
I'm not finished yet
I have so much still to do
I will treat him like a cat and tell him to shoo

And if he brings Death with him
I will laugh in his face
for he can't take me away
from the human race

Maybe I will not open my door
just shout thought the Letter box
Just take a running jump
you and yer chump.

For This Is May
How I remember May
how strong and courageous
to you I raise my sword
and fight for what we lost

Your mother took her life
and my kind took it back
God smiled on your loss
and I am part of you

Our crest lost our lineage broken
but as long as I breadth sweet air
by the strength of my faith
the banner and our name will still be there

For this is May
this is my stronghold
and for you nanny

how I watch you're zig zag ways

Eyes precise as any hunter
a wonder to watch

Skip and hop
find your prey

Be glory small
but deadly

The Watch
Watch our ways to a perfect war
tremble as we make fine, destination
kneel now before the final curtain
feel the red velvet in your face

Watch us land in heartland's
know we never left you naked
should I waste my time
oh yes..forget, I have dominion

As dogs of war
we did choked
we will have this day
without rebuke

20 Brick Street
Out of his house he comes
the man from 20 Brick Road
He's a curious old chap
with his ivory cane and top hat

He waves at his cat
where by window it's sat
and the cat mouths back Meow
waving it's slender tail

Always two hours of endless shopping
if hungry there's a cafe to pop in
he's an amiable man, always tipping his hat
gets giblets from the butchers for his lovely cat

Then home he strives
with a smile on his face
knowing his cat
will be still in it's place

So that is 20 Brick Road
I wonder who lives at 22

Only From Here
How beautiful this living orb
from here how silent you do look
blue with gentle swirls of puffy white
land masses of green and brown hues

Who would think that down there
life takes on it's endless struggles
the fragile fight for existence
yet from here, such a peaceful orb

It's orderly rotation hides the turmoil within
shows nothing of it's wild whipping winds
nor it's swelling seas or it's burning heart
not even the hassle and bustle of mortal cities

From out here you are a place of order
from here you look like a lovely home
that is only from here though
yes, such a pity it's only from here

Lela's Legacy
How many hearts were broken
in the wake of her beauty
how many young hearts
shattered from lost desire

Her grace a perfect concert to behold
her limbs always loosened to suitors
she, with the smile sweet as an angel
a gift from the gods to nearly every man

She left a trail of ruin
this was Lela's Legacy
and I could not believe
I would fall to her charms

Yet in the warfare of the heart
the mind falls so quickly
and I had became
part of Lela's Legacy

Death And Light
I have been told by him
alone
to declare my faith
to show my wings

I know this will be the end of me
I knew that on my first Christ mass
I am just another guy with the word of God
Just another cog in the machine of God

If only as children you could have seen those cities
for yesterday was 5,000 years past
and I wake up in you're somewhat reality
knowing we are the bastion of the last

Oh My Faithful Wings
a shadow of death and light

Happy
The morning mist envelopes me
the sun on this cool morning
kisses kindly my brow
and for that moment I find peace

My country is green and good
as my soul ascends, now content
I hear the chapel bells call to me
so I walk the dawn of their chimes

I step with the grace of smiles
for I see divinity all around me
I see the glory of life
and for that I am happy

Zero
She wears her heart on her collar
her eyes shine with purity of kindness
and she once smiled at me
with the kiss of summer winds

Yet I live in winter
I felt her warmth
the fact that I was not her kind
did not seem to matter to her

She waved in poetic extinction
examining all that was possible
and she came to the conclusion
that all that we were was lost

She filled our cities with water
filled our hearts with pain
told us to leave now
that mother nature was to blame

Take my lungs she cried
spitting blood like a hero
knowing that all we were
would be a finite Zero

Eggs
What came first the chicken or the egg
eggs bro, just ******* eggs
what comes out between a chickens legs
eggs bro, just ******* eggs

Eggs in ovaries
eggs in the ground
eggs in the open ocean
laid with no sound

Eggs at Easter
no embryos inside
just a little present
may within reside

So what came first
the chicken or the egg
well come on
it has to be the egg

The Truth

the hollow feeling within
her shattered life

waiting for that confront call
yet it never came
how love is so lame

I watched this poor ******* suffer
I was the refection she could not look at
for in my eyes was the truth
the Gods honest truth

Falcon
He rises once again
into the cool air
the lone hunter
with prey unaware

Oh wonderful creature

Maybe
So old and tattered I feel
so warn out and grey
I am breathing my last breath
to the end of my days

Will I be just a hollow memory
in a world of be or not be
should I stamp my feet
that I am not complete

Would death be a friend
call me a friendly foe
would he take me
where I need to go

Maybe he will be a comfort
maybe a good fellow
so maybe I will follow him
to the darkness of night

Pure As Night
After 2000 years
I am still pure as night
not allowed to save our lord
by the word of God

We those silent few
we pure as night
from us love flows
glory to my Lord

He who shines
She who shines
to the pure glory
the glory of stars

The burden of living
the wonder of faith
mark my words
as you mark me

For I am a pure as night
pure as night
pure
night

Another Child
The anguish of her loss
that was within
the pain of his birth
now was ten fold

To the flag he had flown
to a nations call
proud and dignified
yet now he did fall

Flag drapes flickering
over his oak coffin
his mother cries
with tears in her eyes

Another warrior
another child
lost in glory
another child

For the flag
for the flag
another child
of glory

God asks for my legions
my 24 strong
he wanted my core five
but they are me

I will not give my elite
without them I die
I and my legions follow me
yet I have no choice

God you stopped me
even my mothers life
so I lay my wings at your feet
and watch my Angels go

But I hold three back
the 1st 3rd and 5th
make pretty your discontent
but it will be without me

Serpent
Slithering at pace through grasslands looking for shelter
as the intensity of the sun beats down on this savannah
with it's darting tongue tasting the hot and arid air
serpent slender silent and full heads for it's liar.

It has been a good morning as the hunt has been fair
it has swallowed it's victims whole as it never tears
making good progress to reach it's rocky mound
midday is here this serpent should be underground.

A hurried sense of danger looms from overhead
by misfortune this serpent could well soon be dead
it sees a winged shadow drift slowly across it's path
many of his kind have fallen across this killers wrath.

The first deadly strike happens all too soon
numbness shields the pain of talons so sharp
for death has descended on this living being
as the cloak of darkness once more takes toll.

new beginnings

The Reach Of Light
The hero lays his sword in defeat
by the blood of friends by his feet
he now is in shock, a shadow
a shadow of humankind

But from this, a light shines
a light of kindness not hate
he tells me to fight no more
tells me to rest in peace

He tells me it's ok to cry
he tells me it's ok to fear
and you know what....
I saw his light and kindness

No matter the war
no matter the hate
rise above it
and reach the light

Make my nest in heaven
look in the eyes of light
watch as I fade

Spring is in my step
yet I do now fade
age is not a factor
to my demise

All I ask is for this
just one more kiss
that is all I want
Just one more Kiss

The marble that adorned my temple
now cracks and shudders
the pillars now lean to fall
all that will be left will be rubble

Don't miss this foolish Joker
as he dances like a manic
soon he will ****** off
to be just food for crows

The frost of spring mornings
the chimes of tear drops
the mutterings of the poor
and the poor being me

If should kind circumstance
make haste to my pain
make my living a blessing
on the outland of time
then so be it

Plastic Death
Little particles of death
these little plastic perils
everyday an unrelenting march
to coast to meet the sea

Most are your convenience holders
your shopping trolley puppies
which in the end are discarded
condemned trash for dumps there be

Watch the mountain of bags decay
turn into slurry and on their way
their unfortunate mission
to suffocate oceanic life

Our seas are becoming plastic soup
choking life in the blue
to a desolate lonely
plastic death

A Study In Holmes
In his study he sits contemplating
activities of this case at hand
with marvellous mind and fragile heart
talks to Watson as what is planned

His deerstalker hangs wet in the hallway
his cane in the hat stand below
he smokes ******* his pipe
Watson gets his gun, they are ready to go

Adorning their coats
Mrs Hudson appears
wishing them luck
whilst holding back tears

Out of Baker Street
they hail a Hanson
to Charring Cross
to pay Moriarty a visit

How many times Holmes, Watson sighed
have you crossed swords with this villain
My Dear Watson Holmes replied
evil deeds must stop and I am willing.

Tender Moon
Each day she sings from her cage
a lonely lament of dire solitude
seven long years now, have her songs been unheard
is this how to treat this sad and forlorn bird

Sunshine filters through the paned windows
yet her cage is far, in the recess of a dark corner
she smells the blossomed air of this spring morning
wafting sweetly through the open chapel doors

Will her song ever be heard
would it be better to sing to the Moon
maybe it's tender light
would hear her plight.

See the splinter oak fly
two more powder monkeys fall
40 guns fire 10 and 20 pounders
ripping into their sails

Yet Nelson our captain
now fades yards away
our admired our sweet admiral
our king of the seas

the gunners mouths black as tar
the ball runners hands
are burnt to cinders

hit we are mid decks
yet another few fall
and Lord Nelson is dead

Sinking (Repost)
So many months we have been at sea
silent running bellow the blue
we loyal submariners
do what we have to do

Our weapon is stealth
a hawk with an eye on the ocean
a leopard of the sea
a wolf in dolphin clothing

We want to go home
there is not one here
that does not miss
there families

The engines over head
wanting destruction, our deaths
that one was close
this one we know

We know they have got us
so we look at our faded photos
as the depth charges
secure our fate

To Follow Him
Time and space are not my allies
as I slowly **** myself from within
letting go of the past
to let the future through

See my hands tremble
see my eyes always thinking
see the love I have
for the art of words

My sweet five year voyage
to undiscovered countries
has given me hope within
shown me the light within me

My faith rekindled
as my lord is with me
he tells me to follow him
to the gates of paradise

His smile you can always trust
so I smile back
hold out my hand
and follow him

the molten rocks now vent their revenge
for this is Yellowstone
at the eve of nuclear winter

The last such eruption
made cold and dark the lands
and this one, in our modern world

See the choking smoke

ten years without crops
ten years of a mini ice age
starvation and death, ten years

Let Her Fly
My friend hide your tears
to see you like this breaks my heart
so let her fly away friend
make yourself a brand new start

My heart has been broken before
know friend, you can survive
so let her fly away friend
always I will stand by your side

I feel your hopeless pleas
I too was broken and forlorn
yet let her fly away friend
from darkness to a new morn

Do not rush for the sake of wanting
looking for a relief of your pain
just let her fly away friend
for love found now will be in vain

Trust in times embrace
to me my brother you are special
So let her fly away friend
your love will fill another vessel

All That Binds
She draws cold breath on this winters morn
dress of black silk and silver she adorns
one step after another tentatively forwards
into the clearing from ancient pine woods
ankle high mist dances slowly then parts
and faster now does beat her kind heart
only chapel bells chiming gently in the distance
would be so bold as to break such soft silence

This final farewell she knew would come
tried purging the thought when it began
but love lost now is truly honour gained
did she repeat in her head again and again
then from nowhere did he appear
the man she loved yet also feared
looking into the black pools of his eyes
she touched his cheek then commenced to cry.

Speaking softly kind words of comfort
would have no merit in this the saddest of times
for after this mornings magical covenant
they would of severed all that did bind.

this is to know, .... Sorrow

The Storm
Hot and humid air, brushes across your pale cheeks,
summer rain returns, from it's seasonal exile,
you lift your eyes, to the darkening skies,
the distant sound of thunder, rings within your soul.

The wind intensifies, as it caresses your hair,
this sweet downpour, on this warm summers evening is near,
with the smell of damp soil, with your deepening breath,
transfixed are you with delight, waiting for natures display of light.

Now it is upon you, in all it's might and glory,
heavy tepid droplets, start falling from the heavens,
you are enveloped in its arms, in a watery embrace,
this wondering tempest, of might, beauty and grace.

The Kiss Of October Winds
Oh splendid red and golden leaves of autumn
you cling onto branches till the end of your lives
then one by one you fall to the ground
With the kiss of Octobers gentle winds.

For you are the fruits of summers burdens
as nuts and berries are your labours lost
gathered by the fauna of your forest realm
Then to fall in your millions in morning frost.

Beautiful crimson and gold tinted carpets
do you make as your last gestured farewell
then soon you will become no more
As you turn to peat on woodland floors.

To The Glory Of Love
At last it's the 14th
the end of my praise of love
that little virus that builds within
that bill of insanity

To the glory of love
and the pain that comes with it
I now say goodbye
to this glorious day

Back to a bottle of Whiskey

I'm sitting in my seat
and ready to go

So I raise my glass
to the glory of love
to my Angels above
to the glory of love.

Love Eulogy
Is this a lonely voyage
drifting clouds reddening skies
is this my event horizon
time in hand with darkening eyes

Is this song a eulogy to mankind
with the distant howls of banshees
do now the gates of hell open
to accommodate the fallen few

If love would be a forgotten word
and have no meaning in this world
would you account it's loss a misgiving
or would it in hindsight be a blessing

Can you bury love
as if a frail dead butterfly
can you hide your heart
from the focus of love
