Searching every hole and cranny,
Wading deep in the lake of life,
Following every path and byway,
Lingering, always lost inside myself.

Holding life beneath the lamp of sadness,
Examining how each part does not fit,
Piecing parts of the cosmic puzzle so,
Never, ever fitting the circle in the square.

Past lives,  family ever, ever spinning,
Knowing how they want to rule me,
Trying daily to create my path of wonder,
Cramming their views deep inside my soul.

Longing for the sweet girl living near,
To ride in on a horse of fiery flames,
Saving my soul and placing it in a box,
So she can determine if I am truly living.

Tasting the rain, so ever dancing free,
Whistling the wind, the cooling motion,
Seeing dark clouds spinning like a top,
Never coming to face my, my own reality.

Noticing in a magic mirror placed before me,
Aging, loosing, this  youthful, fleeting force,
Staring at the old man, tired, searching still,
But never discovering the purpose of my life.
When you reached into my body,
Tearing my heart and soul away,
Standing, holding these in your hands,
You screamed like a banshee in the night.

Left with just a body so violated,
Leaning on the wall, just about to collapse,
You hit my head against the wall with joy,
Down, down I fell in a pile of  a mess.

About to kick this wounded love soldier,
Just when the smile faded, faded away,
I looked deep into your cavernous eyes,
Hoping, hoping for some glimpse of humanity.

It wasn't enough, my life was so freely  given,
It wasn't just that I so wanted you so desperately,
It wasn't that I,  an inexperience lover was calling,
It wasn't that love has skipped me somehow by,
It was that I genuinely craved your sweet body,
Just wanting to kiss you and hold you next to me.

Now, as you scanned me lying, so slowly dying,
The look of your disgust and distain revealed,
I now inside my chaotic mind so racing, racing,
Knew that this will be my lost, lover's lament.
Light the feather floats to sight,
Soft the sunlight shines so bright,
Cool the air goes flowing so near,
Day the time, now evening is here.

Rain now falling, heaven tears on,
So the evening, now comes the dawn,
Slow the trees, with branches so swaying,
Life surrounds us, this much I'm saying.

Breathe the air, this morning so sweet,
See the garden, with wonders to eat,
Hold the silence, when silence will do,
Up at dawn, day beginning so new.

Hold the child, their bodies so hot,
Kiss the lass, for now why so not,
Sweep the porch and know it's true,
How we love, and they love us, too.

Wish the hoping, knowing some fact,
Leave the country,  but always come back,
Bring some city to the meadows and fields,
This life makes living, with nothing to yield.

Last, but not the least we now can share,
Knowledge and nature, we are so aware,
Everything so part and partial now we declare,
Look quickly upward, while some others stare.

Coming full circle, this thing we call life,
Lots of the joyous, mixed in some strife,
Tears upon pillows, but the tears dry away,
This comes from heaven, this wonderful day.
The monsoon season came and gone,
Left fields so drenched and dreary dawn,
The trees so bare, with none some leaves,
The fall began, we all still grieved.

The darkened clouds spread cross the sky,
Some souls were born and some still died,
The wind, our master, blew heavily near,
I held you close, sweet lover dear.

The evenings silent like after a storm,
A animal crying, so distant forlorn,
The children tucked so tightly in beds,
Our minds so rapid, in lonely heads.

Our breath upon the night air see,
The days down loading, now we're free,
We sit like school kids, still by the fire,
Though aged in years, no more desire.

We turn towards each other hoping,
That day is done, no interloping,
No mysteries to solve, no hidden plans,
For now it's woman and just her man.
Gone are the days of youthful flight,
Of beautiful women deep in the night,
No longer chasing the sun in the sky,
We came madly dancing until we died.

Wild, restless lads hell bent, full passion,
Held girls adorned in such silly fashion,
We ate our fill and soon wanted some more,
Not knowing what our lives had in store.

We watched no clocks, we took no time,
To learn the story of life's mystery rhymes,
Nor, did we think old age would someday be,
Our eyes were covered in youth, we could not see.

But life so fleeting, came like a rapid train,
Some learned to cope, some went insane,
The lasses were there, now lasses no more,
Come enter the party, come enter the door.

Yet, as  the band played those annoying songs,
We stumbled so blindly and followed along,
Till when the final curtain began to now fall,
We didn't really live our short lives at all.
Let them be their own, oh God of Mercy,
Let all the babies sleep well at night,
Bring mornings blessings, no more testing,
And let all the people stay home to be free.

Stop all the bombing, and all the killing,
How much of the blood now flows free?
Burn all the guns, melt down all the bullets,
And let these people have back what they see.

Once landing on shorelines, invading the cities,
The menace brings all of it's own ideology,
Who tells me what hand, of which bread I'm feeding,
And pushes me downward to stand on my knees?

If we work the fields, and we toll and die plenty,
Is it not a God given right to remain free?
Who takes from my table, is more than able,
To threaten the air that I long to breathe, see?

No more will we linger, till gone are the sinners,
Who threaten my family and my children, be free,
We'll send them a running, with faith we come gunning,
Till all of our homeland stands proudly and free.

Not violence we're wanting, just living and loving,
We long for the day when the worries so flee,
So put on us pressure, no more can be leisure,
Until all the country is finally free.
Heart to  heart, soul on soul,
Loving you there's no control,
Saying just a night will do,
When much better having two.

Take my hand, say you care,
Living so within your stare,
Pressing bodies, tightly so,
Savoring moments, very slow.

Wondering how you're feeling now,
Taking time as how time allows,
High upon the highest mount,
Every moment, how it counts.

Listening words, words do say,
How we're feeling, how today,
Knowing love is more than this,
Longest, lingering lovely kiss.

Mixing emotions, fever pitch,
In this moment, feeling rich,
Beating hearts, banging drum,
All these moments, all the sum.

Saying it and saying it proud,
Loving you and loving loud,
Hoping time won't fleeting be,
Glad you're loving, loving me.
