The Mueller Report is in
But don’t get excited when
The man’s not indicted, and
His kids continue to pretend
As if, they are peachy keen
Easy enough for us to glean
They’re liars, know what I mean?
Who manipulate as we have seen

The Mueller Report is in
When does the panacea begin?
Can you tell me where or when
It can finally be brought to an end
We know crimes were committed
If he’s honest then he’ll admit it
See nobody has been acquitted
Of the charges Mueller submitted

The Mueller Report is in
And he clearly practices Zen
He’s learned how to lazer in
On all of the President’s men
I’ve lost count of those indicted
Only two have chosen to fight it
A Presidential pardon has them excited
Which no doubt has them delighted

The Mueller Report is in
And all of them have some skin
They need to be placed in the pen
The women as well as the men
I don’t mean to interrupt
Yet we all know the man is corrupt
And his is a scary construct
Especially when his last nerve is plucked

For me
It would be thrilling
To be called
The new Bob Dylan
Whether or not
John Prine was willing
Or even found it fulfilling
To have that kind of billing

John’s words
Were like a novel
Causing other
Songwriters to grovel
At the stories
He could tell
From inside
His creative well

To be known as
The new Dylan
Or even as
His fillin
Is an honor
Yes indeed
Once you give ‘em
Both a read

John had a way
With words
Like Dylan
And it occured
To song critics
And the like
When he
Was on a mike

Has it become the new norm?
This kick the puppies platform
As we observe him barnstorm
Which he’s raised to an art form
While certain folk relate
To his message of hate
Perhaps I need to state
It’s crushed by its own weight

While also kicking puppies
He’s fishing for the guppies
And not attracting yuppies
Let alone any buppies
But he content to be
Their majordomo
Don’t cha see
That his base will agree

What puppies signify
Are the people who will die
Unless we rise-up, no lie
And not reelect that guy
Because we entertain that fool
We’re open to worldwide ridicule
‘Cuz he’s broken every rule
And he's a Russian tool

The nexus of
All the rope in Texas
Along with a tall oak tree
Is part of the history
Of lynching folks like me
So why can’t Chip Roy see
That It was
A **** poor analogy

Clearly his myopic
View point on the topic
Of anti-Asian hate
Doesn’t add to the debate
Instead his racist trope
Shows him to be a dope
Let’s wash his mouth with soap
And then we can hold out hope

That he becomes enlightened
Not zenophobic or frightened
By people he never knew
Of a different color or hue
He needn’t double down
Because he likes the sound
Of being obstinate
His opinion doesn’t fit

Congressman Chip Roy is following
A familiar Republican ploy
To stir up a like-minded crowd
By saying the quiet parts out loud
He can anticipate
Through sowing seed of hate
You’d be amazed
How much he can fund raise

It was clear from the beginning
That the only one who’s winning
From the violence underpinning
Why our population’s thinning
Are the morgues and undertakers
As we leave to meet our Maker’s
Heaven high or hell below
Becuz’ ya see, we never know

When our ashes turn to dust
It’s enough to cause disgust
As the perpetrators cuss
Then let their gun shots bust
Two rounds in the head
And the floors are running red
If you heard a word I said
No need to ask if they’re dead

But we’ll swallow up our grief
And no matter our belief
Try to seek Godly relief
For yet another unwarranted beef
And regardless of the venue
Violence is still on the menu
So no doubt it will continue
Like dancers of China’s Shen Yue

Let’s go in the laboratory
To review this time worn story
With its familiar repertory
And ironic allegory
It doesn’t make no sense
Like our Vice President Pence
Guess we’ll be kept in suspense
Until things get less intense

The only one who
Wants a border wall is him
Though the chances
Of it ever being built are slim
Taking money from the military
Is just a Fox driven whim
Because his worst ideas
Have lately come from them

He once touted that
Mexico would have to pay
But that false notion
Is just so yesterday
Why does anyone believe
A word he has to say
Because don’t cha know
His feet are made of clay

See we only have
His lying *** to thank
That now he want to rob
Our military’s piggybank
As Commander and chief
I guess he’s pulling rank
Though Congress will have
The last word to be frank

His supporters still believe
The wall’s gonna be built
And he promotes that notion
Completely free of guilt
In fact you see him
Doing it to the hilt
Like some kind of
Crazy patchwork quilt

The past that left me blue
Has me coming back to you
Long before I knew
What I was going to do
When I was adrift
Wondering what if

What if we got back together
Would it be any better
Than it was before
You walked out the door
Leaving me alone
In a twilight zone

Despite my doubt
I figured out
Coming back to you
Was the thing to do

Would you welcome me
I’d just have to see
Whether it could be repaired
And whether you still cared
That the past that left me blue
Has me coming back to you

Beg your pardon Mr. President
It may not be who we are
But the people we see
That ultimately determines
The people we be

Experience has brought me
To certain conclusions
So I don't operate
Under false illusions
Clearly we are not
Who we aspire to be
And I base this upon
Everything that I see

Beg your pardon Mr. President
It may not be who we are
But the people we see
That ultimately determines
The people we be

I'm told justice delayed
Is justice denied
And the examples are varied
And also quite wide
People of color
Are given more time
Than whites accused
Of a similar crime

Beg your pardon Mr. President
It may not be who we are
But the people we see
That ultimately determines
The people we be

From coast to coast
And stops in between
There are examples
Of just what I mean
Unarmed youth are shot down in the streets
And this scenario sadly repeats
Over and over and then again
Why should I believe you or even pretend

Beg your pardon Mr. President
It may not be who we are
But the people we see
That ultimately determines
The people we be

You've been defied
Beyond logic or reason
In any other country
They'd call it treason
The Senate Speaker
Saw his duty as one
To insure at every turn
That you be undone

Beg your pardon Mr. President
It may not be who we are
But the people we see
That ultimately determines
The people we be

It was a phone call
That’s all it was
Until he did
What he frequently does
Now it’s front page news
It’s the latest buzz
If it was you or I
They’d call the fuzz

Some call it treason
That’s too high a bar
Given the reason
Why we’re where we are
Call it collusion
Which itself is bizarre
But we can’t forget
He’s a reality star

The whistleblower
Felt compelled to tell
What he overheard
That rang a bell
Like a five alarm
Which he couldn’t quell
Or a garbage heap
With an awful smell

He confessed to us
In broad daylight
But that salient fact
Didn’t make it right
A crime’s a crime
Even in plain sight
So if you ask me
He isn’t very bright

No Need to worry
Selfish people say
It won’t affect us
At least not today
What about those
Destined to follow?
What will we leave ‘em
For their tomorrow?

Let me pull your sleeve
The planet that we leave
Will make them rejoice
Or cause ‘em to grieve
Is it hard to conceive
The tangled web we weave
Which we can’t retrieve
It's the air they breathe

The ozone layer
Has been compromised
Sadly that affects
All of our lives
We’re running out of time
And it’s clear to see
It’s up to us to find
Some kind of remedy

Our oceans are warming
At an alarming rate
If we don’t do something
Before it’s too late
Then our planet’s doomed
To a predictable fate
What I’m trying to say
Is that we can’t wait!

The power of belief
Can change you over night
Though you were going left
God can send you right
And all you have to do
Simply is to believe
Through the power of God
All things can be achieved

The power of belief
Can open up your eyes
To the kind of things
You never realized

I am only saying
In total honesty
What belief has done
For people much like me
Who were not aware before
So didn’t have belief
Until they discovered
That ignorance brings grief

The power of belief
Can open up your eyes
To the kind of things
You never realized

Why should you deny yourself
Those blessings that abound
Whether you believe or not
God still sends them down
But you must believe in him
So you can benefit
Why should you deprive yourself
Of all that you can get

The power of belief
Can open up your eyes
To the kind of things
You never realized

There are those who find it hard
Even to conceive
How anyone can go though life
And say they don’t believe
What is it that you need
As proof or evidence
That nature does not provide
It just don’t make no sense

The power of belief
Can open up your eyes
To the kind of things
You never realized

The precedent’s been made
By Roe v Wade
The question now
Is can it be saved?
Or must women once again
Become enslaved
From the womb to their grave
By laws primarily man made?

Now here’s the latest news
About a woman’s right to choose
Which believe you me
Is about to be abused
By a court of nine
Six of whom will redefine
What should be plain to see
How many weeks constitutes viability?

With abortions all but banned
By the Supreme Court’s heavy hand
The poor will be on their own
Caught up in the Twilight Zone
When it comes to having babies
There’s no if ands buts or maybes
Can’t you hear ‘em pleading
Someone save me?

If Conservatives get their wishes
Roe v Wade rests with the fishes
Never to be heard from again
To the satisfaction of some men
Who have no skin in the game
But want to weigh in just the same
I just hope women remember
In the mid-terms come next November

The President is
Non-compliant
As a matter of fact,
He’s defiant
It’s his perceived power
Upon which he’s reliant
But he’s his own lawyer
Who has a fool for a client

The President is
Most egregious
But some people stil
Think he’s prestigious
Albeit though,
A tad litigious
He’s an organism
That is epigeous

The President is
Efficacious
When it comes
To stirring up racists
He’s anything other
Than gracious
Call him what he is
Audacious

The President is
Pusillanimous
And doesn’t believe
In God we trust
As most
Other presidents must
See he’s only worthy
Of our disgust

The President must be hating
That Flynn’s cooperating
With the Special Prosecutor
Which could render him neuter
Although he now has *****
Watch him as each one falls
They’re coming for Don Junior too
What’s a President to do?

The President must be hatimg
That Mueller caught him waiting
Wondering what the **** to do
Pull the trigger? He has no clue
He’s frightened of the consequences
Cos the third cycle always rinses
And the fact remains
That he’s gone through great pains

The President must be hating
That Manafort is now debating
Whether to turn state’s evidence
He’s going bonkers from the suspense
It’s only now that he can see
That he might be in jeopardy
And he’s too old to do the time
If he has to pay for his crime

The President must be hating
That Pence is probably waiting
To assume the crown
As he watches him come down
“No more trips to Mar-A-Lago,”
Says his personal Iago.
“If he had thought or only known
That I was destined for the throne?”

The President’s leaving
Because he needs a break
The government’s closing?
Well, let them eat cake!
To blame it on him
Would be news that is fake
He just wants a wall
That we’ll never make

The President’s leaving
For sunnier climes
Despite the fact
It’s the worst of times
To host a party
And close the blinds
‘Cos Mar-a-Largo beckons
He’s crossing those lines

The President’s leaving
To max and relax
And to celebrate
Cutting the tax
That helps the rich
While a DACA packs
Dreamers are confronted
With these salient facts

The President’s leaving
Getting out of Dodge
While a government extension
Is caught in hodgepodge
See he doesn’t care
That accusations are lodged
Because he feels he can duck
The fuselage

As the Protagonist expects
*** as a pretext
Baffles intellects
In an election context
So it’s no mystery
That he does this ya see
When ancient history
Can be so blistery

Given the nomenclature
Of its prurient nature
Clearly I would hate to
Be forced to debate you
But the Protagonist
Has long been doing this
Although he gets me ******
He doesn’t feel remiss

As long as he’s untoward
He won’t fall on his sword
And you can rest assured
That the past won’t be ignored
In any given broadcast
He can be put on blast
Because if one chose to ask
They'd learn about his past

Right down to his hair follicle
The man is diabolical
And also quite methodical
What I’m saying is he’s horrible
Like excrement stuck on a shoe
He’s nasty and it’s also true
Like a bowl of witches brew
He’s impossible to misconstrue

The question is
Should I do it?
Though a voice in my head asks,
“Why put yourself through it?”
I can’t fight the feeling
That I already blew it
But something’s urging me
To say aw ***** it

I’ve been tempted
To give you a call
Because talking to you
Beats not talking at all
But I’m afraid of you
Making me feel small
I’ve gotten back up
But I’m about to fall

The fact of the matter
That can’t be denied
Is I don’t wanna do nothing
That will hurt my pride
So here’s the dilemma
That I must decide
Should I let my conscience,
Be my guide?

It’s like a Rubic Cube
Hard to figure out
So even though I’m tempted
I still have some doubt
Cuz’ it could be as painful
As a case of gout
Which makes me wanna holler
Makes me wanna shout

I guess the question is why,
Do some Republicans,
Choose to lie?
About the basic fact
Their lies cannot take back
Even one impeachable act
That clearly was committed
And they know the President did it

Will they swallow any flavor,
Just to curry,
The President’s favor?
One who clearly was remiss,
See he got us into this
But it’s his *** they choose to kiss
And they cannot deny
The burning question why?

To what length will they go,
To let their fealty
Grow and show?
That above and beyond all else
They care primarily about themselves
Their oaths are on their shelves
And everything that they say
Takes those solemn words away

Haven’t they been told
That to gain the world
But to lose their soul
Profits them not at all
If in the face of a clarion call
They allow this country to fall
And now they are beseeched
To vote that he's impeached!

What happened to the dream
Was it always the plan
To pit Conservatives
Against the working man
Have mortgage foreclosures
All across the land
And no one wants to give
The poor a helping hand

They say that they’re Christians
Who believe in Jesus Christ
So how come they refuse
To take his sage advice
They can have the pie
We just want a slice
Yet they refuse to do that
Ya see they don’t play nice

The powers that be
Thought the movement had died
With Zucotti Park
But someone must have lied
Cos the people united
Cannot be defeated
They can try to fight it
But they’re gonna be unseated

What kind of future
Do we want or need
One that puts a suture
On avarice and greed
The majority will lose
If only the few succeed
In having their way
While the rest of us bleed

Though the courts say in God we trust
There ain’t no justice for us
Cos we’re forced to plea bargain a bust
Which adds to our general disgust
It’s the lack of parity
When it comes to sentencing see
While others routinely walk free
If it’s me they throw away the key

How come I always get the max
Regardless of the given facts
Is it any wonder why I can’t relax
Would you if the deck’s always stacked
I’m robbed of my liberty
And my labor is practically free
I’m locked up in knavery
Though it smacks back to slavery

Innocent until proven guilty
Never applied don’t cha see
From the moment they knows it’s me
Facing the charges that be
I’m given exorbitant bail
So I cannot get out of jail
And it’s foolproof guaranteed not to fail
Because justice has an unequal scale

Guilty or not of the crime
Nine times out of ten you’ll find
I’m somewhere up state doing time
And I’m used as a paradigm
For what’s wrong with society
I’m the poster child don’t cha see
So they point their fingers at me
Despite the disparity

There goes another missle
In the North Korean sky
Which he  dismisses summarily
But he hasn’t told us why
All we hear from him
Is how much he loves the guy
The fact he is being played
Is something that he’ll deny

He talks about the nice letters
That his lover writes
‘Cuz he knows how to bait the hook
And also what excites
A dotard like his lover
Whom he envisions in tights
While he luls him to sleep
On those restless nights

South Korea and Japan
Understandably have concern
Because they know that the doltard
Is the type that will not learn
His hand is on a hot stove
But they'll probably get  burned
Once his lover reveals himself
And the table has finally turned

He hasn’t gone ballistic
As far as the doltard knows
But that’s not necessarily
What our intelligence shows
But he regularly ignores them
So we’ll have to take the blow
Perhaps he could think more clearly
Without ******* up his nose

The Republican Party
In the era of Trump,
Has become quite comfortable
Playing the chump
To someone they should have told
To kiss their ****,
Instead they’re asking
How high should they jump?

The Republicn Party
In the era of Trump
Are afraid, that he’ll go against them
On the campaign stump
They’re frightened their poll numbers
Won’t get a bump
Unless they ride the freight train
That’s called Donald Trump

The Republican Party
Is about to disintegrate
Because of the things
They’re afraid to debate
They’ve become synonymous
With the word hate
So they’re about to crumble
Underneath the weight

The Republican Party
Is a distant memory
Of the kind of party
That they used to be
Completely losing
Their identity
By riding the Trump ship
In a troubled sea

The Republican Party is owned
By a stone cold loser
He’s an acknowledged
Serial woman abuser
And perhaps a secret
******* user
As well as a bully
And a political bruiser

The Republican Party
Has lost their way
They’ve attached themselves
To a big liar today
Out of fear that the liar
Might make them pay
They bend to his will
As if it is olay

The Republican Party
Is a house that’s divided
Which happened to them
Once they decided
To hitch their wagon
To a falling star
Which explains why
They find themselve where they presently are

The Republican Party
Is clearly doomed
And that isn’t something
That I’ve randomly assumed
I’ve studied the situation
You might have presumed
And observed the idol worship
In which they’re consumed

Planes don’t just fall from the sky
There’s always a reason why
Mechanical failure might apply
Or sabotage they will deny
But the truth will soon emerge
The very thing they want to purge
Sabotage is bad for business
And we know that they do get this

For Russians it‘s hard to take
Coming home from Sharm el-Sheikh
That a bomb ISIS did make
Could cause them that much heartache
But no matter what you say
They’re gonna make somebody pay
Cuz it can’t go down that way
So rest assured they will convey

Strong outrage and dissatisfaction
Against the ones who took that action
And their ire’s gaining traction
Soon we’ll all see their reaction
A lot of blood is gonna spill
Now that they will wanna ****
Those who wished them such ill will
So for ISIS it’s all down hill

ISIS had better eat their spinach
Cuz by the time the Russians finish
They will clearly be diminished
Beaten at the line of scrimmage
One shouldn’t target a non-combatant
But that’s clearly is what happened
And it fits their usual pattern
So look for ISIS to be flatterned

If I don’t do it for you baby
Then someone else might maybe
Though I think you oughta know
That I’d hate to see you go
If I don’t satisfy your needs
And someone else succeeds
There’s little else I can say
If you choose to walk away

If I’m no longer what you want
Don’t insinuate or start to taunt
There’s no need to nevertheless
Or even make me have to guess
See you’re all that I’m thinking of
But if you’ve fallen out of love
There’s little else I can say
If you choose to walk away

If you say that our love is done
And I’m no longer the one
See I really don’t have a clue
As to what else I can do
It will hurt like you don’t know
To realize you’re gonna go
But there’s little else I can say
If you choose to walk away

There’s no denying
That you are still lying
While the planet is frying
And people are dying
But nobody’s buying
That you’re complying
With the underlying
Reason they’re crying

You’d rather ignore
What they’re marching for
Than to explore
Why we should do more
To develop a rapport
The esprit de corps
Which you might abhor
'Cuz you like rancor

Their future’s at stake
Which they cannot take
‘Cuz they’re wide awake
And for heaven’s sake
The dam’s gonna break
And that’s not opaque
It’s clear to betake
It’ll be what we make

Need I remind?
We’re running out of time
And that should ring anyone’s chime
If you’ve observed the changing clime
Speaking directly unlike a mime
You know it’s not a victimless crime
If you hadn’t crossed the line
It wouldn’t be necessary to drop a dime

While the internet entices
Those making sacrifices
For Boco Haram or ISIS
Whose platforms are divisive
Here’s what my advice is
Stop cutting heads in slices
While rolling out the dices
Which makes you not the nicest
Saying it’s all in Islam’s name
When you practice to defame
Every prophet who ever came
You’re only poppin’ game
Cos’ their message was real plain
It’s really not hard to understand
Men can’t do what only God can

There’s only one Khalifah
And his name is ****
He’s the only Khalifah
That I know there is
You can’t build a Khalifate
Solely based on hate
So let me restate
(well here it is)
There’s only one Khalifah
And his name is ****

You have to be mad
Or Michael Jackson bad
To declare world-wide jihad
I find it a tad rad
And it really is quite sad
But you’re making Shaytan glad
He’s got you living at his pad
So never mind Riyadh
Of course Asad’s got your back
Inside of Syria and in Iraq
You’ve made a devil’s pact
I know this for a fact
So as you plan your next attack
What will be your third act
And whose head next you gonna wack

There’s only one Khalifah
And his name is ****
He’s the only Khalifah
That I know there is
You can’t build a Khalifate
Solely based on hate
So let me restate
(well here it is)
There’s only one Khalifah
And his name is ****

Just like Teena said
I’m talking square biz
There’s only one Khalifah
And his name is ****
So you need to tell me now
What the **** gives
With you deciding who dies
Or who the hell lives

Allahu Akbar it’s the final test
As another jihadi with a suicide vest
Blows himself and others up
Like you might have guessed
Hoping for the paradise
That his leaders stressed
His picture will be shrouded
Nevertheless
See he never gave it more
Than just a casual look
So he’s hasn’t read the words
Inside his Holy Book
Which explains why he’s a pawn
Instead of a rook
And an internet suggestion was all it took

There’s only one Khalifah
And his name is ****
He’s the only Khalifah
That I know there is
You can’t build a Khalifate
Solely based on hate
So let me restate
(well here it is)
There’s only one Khalifah
And his name is ****

The ******* Taliban
In Peshawar Pakistan
Had the upper hand
And carried out their plan
To ****** like the ****
Although it’s clearly banned
By several ayats in the Qu’ran
They don’t seem to understand
They’re no fans of education
But how do you build a nation
If your sole vocation
Is suicide and assassination
Now the whole world’s losing patience
With the latest allegations
Wondering what’s their motivations

There’s only one Khalifah
And his name is ****
He’s the only Khalifah
That I know there is
You can’t build a Khalifate
Solely based on hate
So let me restate
(well here it is)
There’s only one Khalifah
And his name is ****

They say that Islam is
The religion of peace
Before they blow themselves up
And the madness doesn’t cease
Like someone just released
A heard of savage beasts
And I’m not just talkin’ ‘bout
In the Middle East
Over in Australia a self-made Imam
Showed us just how much
He didn’t give a ****
By taking hostages at gunpoint
Without a demand
After having had
A thirteen hour news span

There’s only one Khalifah
And his name is ****
He’s the only Khalifah
That I know there is
You can’t build a Khalifate
Only based on hate
So let me restate
(well here it is)
There’s only one Khalifah
And his name is ****

While the internet entices
Those making sacrifices
For Boco Haram or ISIS
Whose platforms are divisive
Here’s what my advice is
Stop cutting heads in slices
While rolling out the dices
Which makes you not the nicest
Saying it’s all in Islam’s name
When you practice to defame
Every prophet who ever came
You’re only poppin’ game
Cos’ their message was real plain
It’s really not hard to understand
Men can’t do what only God can

“There’s something going on
In the Mosques,
Something,
We don’t know about,”
Said Donald Trump
While on the stump
And I respond,
No doubt

There’s something going on
In the Mosques
Houses of worship
Made expressly
For prayer
But anyway, it’s hard to say
For those
Who've never been there

There’s something going on
In the Mosques
Perhaps,
Just religious study
But he don't know
Cuz he won't go
Therefore his perception
Is muddy

There’s something going on
In the Mosques
Like any other
Religious institution
You’ll find people
Praying on
Their knees
Seeking absolution

Gil Scott Heron was wrong
When he said in his iconic song,
“The revolution won’t be televised.”
Ya see it’s happening daily
Right before our eyes
And most of us are, none the wise
Cuz someone who we should despise
Is wearing his presidential disguise

The revolution is taking place
At MAGA rallies that have the space
Instigated by a public disgrace
Promoting white supremacy, right in our face
On TV screens to his supporter’s delight
He’s saying things, that even he knows ain’t right
But he says them anyway in order to spite
The rest of us caught in his verbal blight

The revolution signifies change
And often that means it can be strange
How certain things rearrange
And can unravel in the exchange
Some people wanna set the clock back
To a time that can only be labeled, wack
Which they’d like to revisit, as a matter of fact
But time is addition, you can’t subtract

The revolution it would appear
Can give us all quite a scare
Once it is obvious and we’re aware
That it’s not coming, rather it’s here
And it’s on cable and in  the news
It’s your choice, so you can choose
We’re at the point where some refuse
Because not everybody is amused

Well now there you go again
Coming at me with your unique spin
So you think that you know me well
You make it easy for me to tell
You interrupt me before I’m done
And finish sentences I haven’t begun

Now it’s high time that you listen to me
It ain’t the way that you think it should be
I got a mind of my own don’t ya see
So it’s high time that you listen to me
It's high time that you listen to me

Once more there you go again
Coming at me with your unique spin
I think your mind runs much too fast
Got the answer before you’re asked
Are you psychic or a charlatan
A mind reader, or you just know men

Now it’s high time that you listen to me
It ain’t the way that you think it should be
I got a mind of my own don’t ya see
So it’s high time that you listen to me
It's high time that you listen to me

It’s the rise
Of the Islamic State
Otherwise known as
The Khalifate
Ya know, the people
Who’ve earned our hate
Which is closed to
Any kind of debate

It’s the rise
Of a radical theology
That is alien
To Western psychology
It’s something ingrained
As far as we can see
About a people
Not like you and me

It’s the rise of
Something that appeals
To young people
With different ideals
But intrinsically
What it reveals
Is the emptiness
A person feels

It’s the rise of
What we’re forgetting
About the advent of
Armageddon
Perhaps because
It’s upsetting
And may lead
To massive bedwetting

The rule of justice
They will abort
If they place Brett Kavanaugh
On the Supreme Court
While Ginsburg and Bryer’s
Time could be short
Kavanaugh is everything
His Conservative base sought

We can say goodbye
To Roe v Wade
If this devil’s bargain
Is finally made
Kavanaugh unfortunately
Doesn’t make the grade
He’s the President’s puppet
Whom we must forbade

Kavanaugh clearly lacks
The judicial temperament
Of those sitting Justices
Who’ve already been sent
To the highest court
In this troubled land
He’s a liar and past drunk
From what I understand

Mitch McConnell seems
In such an awful rush
That as far as he’s concerned
The FBI can just hush
Because he wants Kavanaugh
So very much
Which just goes to show us
That he’s out of touch

The ruling oligarchy
Says it’s middle-class malarkey
To suggest they differ starkly
When it comes to the poor
Whom the rich try to ignore
Cos the haves now want more
Than they ever did before

The strong vanquish the weak
As the oil prices tweak
To the stratosphere they seek
And the profits are obscene
As they pick our pockets clean
That’s why most of us are hurtin
Not the case with Haliburton

Bush is a disgrace
But he does support his base
They’re the rich – in any case
We have challenges to face
And we are gettin queasier
Cos it’s not getting easier

Now we hear
The Green House gases
Threatens all our *****
But the legislation passes
That deregulates the gases
Which pollutes the atmosphere
That’s why global warming’s here

Bush is a disgrace
But he does support his base
They’re the rich – in any case
We have challenges to face
And we are gettin queasier
Cos it’s not getting easier

The ruling oligarchy
Says it’s middle-class malarkey

Pardon me,
For being abrupt
The Saudi Crown Prince
Is so corrupt
That he ordered a reporter
Be chopped-up
In his embassy in Turkey
Which he covered-up

Muhammad bin Salman
Is a piece of work
But he knows how,
And whose chain to ****
The President supports him
Because he gets a perk
And corruption for both of them
Is a common quirk

Such is the arrogance
That the Prince displayed
Because he thinks the world
Will swallow his Kool Aid
He’s gonna have to lie in
The bed he’s made
And pray his ascendance to the thrown
Can be saved

The Saudis need to be
Taught a strong lesson
But this will blow over
Jared Kushner’s guessing
Because MSB and him
Think adolescent
And both of them
Have their elder’s blessing

We have a crisis
When the savages of ISIS
Blow up antiquities
And summarily lay siege
To Syria’s ancient ruins
Which is totally incongruent
With the Prophet’s example
Which is recorded and ample

It’s a travesty and a shame
What they do in Islam’s name
Because it’s not reflective of
The religion of peace and love
And the hatred that they fuel
Havin’ broken every rule
So it’s open to debate
If their end game is the caliphate

Al Baghdadi proselytizes
While his true mission he disguises
On the ground are lots of boots
That’s comprised of old and new recruits
As Syria and Iraq get hotter
They’re like lambs being led to slaughter
And many more nitwits he’ll find
Who tune into him on line

Soon they will discover
It’s not one thing it’s the other
And the women can’t escape
From the drudgery and ****
And the men overworked and underpaid
For the devil’s bargain that they made
See they’re all going straight to hell
In a handbasket can’t you tell

We’re faced with a contagion
As deadly as the Black Plague
And so it finds us engaged with
The scourge of the modern age
Yesterday we were challenged by
A disease that was spreading
And similarly today it seems
That’s the place we’re heading

One thing I know for sure
It crosses all demographics
And so we search for a cure
A stop light for it’s traffic
Some call it an affliction
Cos’ that’s their frame of mind
But opioid addiction
Is the bane of all mankind

As we attempt to treat it
Because we heed the call
We know to defeat it
That one size won’t fit all
Multiple methodologies
Will have to be employed
Though the ideal is always abstinence
Let’s not get paranoid

There are other approaches
Out there on the horizon
Like medically assisted treatment
That conveniently ties in
To the awful situation
We find ourselves in today
Doctors providing treatment
Can control this disease they say

The skeletons in your closet
Will one day come outside
From the past into the present
From which you cannot hide
You can keep us in the dark
And I know that is your hope
But you can't avoid detection
Underneath the microscope

The skeletons in your closet
Tend to make you paranoid
You're afraid that they'll reveal
What you're hoping to avoid
I know you've heard it said
That you can run but cannot hide
And the proof of that assertion is
It cannot be denied

The skeletons in your closet
Are crying out real loud
Saying you can't keep us quiet
Just because you are not proud
You see much sooner, if not later
We'll have to be heard
So why try to prevent us
From having the last word

How the tables have turn you see
Now the general needs immunity
It was “Lock her up!” for Hillary
Now it’s him who’s being pilloried
Oh how the tables have turned indeed
In the face of his avarice and greed
The 5th Amendment he will not plead
It would appear he has a greater need

How the tables have turned I guess
He’ll have to testify nevertheless
And bring the president in this mess
Or suggest his involvement at best
And does anyone really believe
There’s nothing up the president’s sleeve
When first he practiced to deceive
Which he has failed to achieve

How the tables have turned today
He needs immunity some will say
To put the truth on full display
But it’s gonna come out anyway
The president has a motley crew
And there’s little he wouldn’t do
To get to where he got to
Which is something I think you knew

How the tables have turned all the same
The hunter was captured by the game
The one who gave Hillary all the blame
Do I really have to say his name
You’re smart enough so I refuse
Must I give you helpful clues
When he’s all over broadcast news
Cos’ everybody must pay their dues

If he doesn’t worship
At the temple of your body
Or know how to please you
When you feel like being naughty
And if he can’t do what I can
Then don’t call yourself his shorty
If lately he’s been leaving a lot to be desired
Girl don’t go no further tell him he’s fired

I will worship everyday
At the temple of your body
And if you wanna play
I’ll do all the things you taught me

If he doesn’t pray
At the temple of your body
Or tries to come off gangster
Like he thinks he’s John Gotti
He needs proper training
So show him how to *****
And if lately he’s been leaving a lot to be desired
Girl don’t go no further tell him he’s fired

I’ll worship everyday
At the temple of your body
And if you wanna play
I’ll do all the things you taught me

Your body’s like a church
I wanna take communion
And I’ve done my research
Are you down with the movement

If he hasn’t been baptized
In your sacred waters
Or tried to climb the fence
At your southern border
Then it time you realize
He hasn’t followed orders
So if lately he’s been leaving a lot to be desired
Girl don’t go no further tell him he’s fired

I’ll worship everyday
At the temple of your body
And if you wanna play
I’ll do all the things you taught me

If he doesn’t worship
At the temple of your body
Or know how to please you

The thought never dawned
That a black with a blonde
In today’s society
Is not beyond social propriety
Although for a racist it well may be
Too much to comprehend, or see

Though that isn’t what the racist saw
When he thought he couldn’t take no more
And bore down on the throttle
Stabbing a black man collecting bottles
Then simply walked away and left
As the man was facing death

And when he turned himself in
His saga slowly did begin
Finally start to unravel
Police found our he had traveled
From Baltimore to New York City
To **** black men what a pity

And he told the authorities
From the tinder age of three
He was a racist and that’s key
To how he turned out ultimately
Looking for blacks in New York
And now he is all the talk

Let’s call it
The three fifths of a man sequel
Apparently, all of us
Are not considered equal
What we’re experiencing
Just doesn’t speak well
For us as people
We’re drowning in *****

Don’t point your finger
Thinking it’s just him
When we have the choice
To either sink or swim
If we remain silent
What’s the pseudonym?
Perhaps it’s compliant
If nothing else then

We allow children
To be placed in cages
And applaud as the President
Frequently stages
Rallies everywhere
As he engages
Like minded people
From the dark ages

And let us not
Forget Charlottesville
Though some us might
Others never will
That’s where unabashed racists
Scored a ****
And he said
There was some good in them still

They don’t want
The tired or poor
Seeking refuge
At our door
The ones we welcomed
Once before
Are not welcomed
Anymore

White supremacy
Has to be advanced
So It’s not about
People’s circumstance
The reason they
Don’t want ‘em in
Is the color
Of their skin

Everything else is
Just an excuse
So folks will ask,
“Hey, what’s the use?”
Instead of being judged
By what they produce
Let’s call it what it is
Immigrant abuse

They’re changing our motto
And our creed
To ignore the ones
Most in need
Our soul will be damaged
If they succeed
And all of us
Would do well to pay heed

He got caught up
In the traffic jam in Fort Lee
Is he innocent or guilty
Guess we’ll have to see
But his presidential ambitions
He’ll have to leave be
Because he’ll never get
The White House key

He’s blamed it on aides
That he trusted too much
Who were over zealous
And now they’re in Dutch
Yet he’s been called
A ***** such and such
Who had his foot on the gas
And his hand on the clutch

He entered the campaign
As if on a mission
With his super-sized ego
Which fueled his ambition
But he relied too much
On a keen intuition
And now that he’s out
He might as well go fishing

His gastric by-pass
Left him still rotund
But he had the energy
And was fit to run
He savaged others
Without a gun
But they’re still there
Although he’s now done

I’ve never been a fan
Of the Two Minute Man
Who I can’t stand
He should be banned
From our White House
Which needs to be deloused
Because of who it housed
And all that he’s expoused

The Two Minute Man
No doubt thinks he can
Though he can’t you understand
Satisfy a woman and
If you want the proof
Ask his wife who’s aloof
But will tell you he’ a goof
Or better yet, a human spoof

He should have
Used his head
Stormy Daniels said
When he took her to bed
Because he didn’t last
And time went by so fast
She didn’t have a blast
In fact she was aghast

The Best *** Ever
Didn’t happen never
Although it was quite clever
For him to pull that lever
And put words in the mouth
Of an actress from the south
Who would become the spouse
Of a world class louse

Proudly he wore the uniform
As many others do
Went to work everyday
Because he always knew
What he wanted to be
Once he finally grew
Just like his father
And some uncle’s too

He lived by their credo
To protect and serve
Until he met a fate
That no one deserves
Shot twice in the head
Some people have nerve
Now an officer is dead
And his perp’s in the preserve

Facing a life sentence
Not the electric chair
He has no repentance
You see, he doesn’t care
They call him Hell-Raiser
I guess that’s only fair
He doesn’t have mercy
At least that I’m aware

We need to thank ‘em
For the jobs they do
Risking life and limb
For people like me and you
But to their oaths
They swore to be true
The many men and women
Who proudly wear the blue

The Uniform was sadly inspired by the ****** of Officer Brian Moore, a twenty-five year old New York City Police officer.  Officer Moore was sitting in his unmarked police vehicle when drove along side a perp whom he observed placing something in his waistband.  When questioned the perp shot Officer Moore in the head.

I guess we can round up
The usual suspects
Elderly white men
Aren’t that complex
When it comes to muscles
That they’re trying to flex
After all they’re ones
Who write the checks

Now they even control
The Supreme Court
Because certain people
Sold them very short
The lesson learned
Is the one that was taught
You can sexually abuse women
If you don’t get caught

Now they’re cans are clinking
As they toast their beers
Celebrating their victory
And sending good cheers
To the country at large
Because there he is
Judging among judges
Or so it appears

Before the Mid-Terms
They’ve got it going on
But what if they find out
That they got it wrong?
As they continue to
Just sing their sordid song
Party before people
As we knew all along

His day began in the ususal way
Kissed his wife goodbye
Wished his kids a good day
Death was the furthest thing
From his mind
Before leaving his house
For thevery last time

He wore his uniform
With a great deal of pride
He was proud to be
On the good guy's side
To ser ve and protect
Was his motto and guide
Right up until the day that he died

He and his partner
Turned out at roll call
With no indication
This day they would fall
They drove their patrol car
To their assignment
Where they were killed
In a narrow confinement

They wore their uniforms
With a great deal of pride
So proud to be on the good guy's side
To serve and protect
Was their motto and guide
Right up until the day that they died

What on earth
Goes through somebody's head
To do such a thing
That left two people dead
But from Baltimore
The dark stranger came
And committed the deed
In someone else's name

They wore their uniforms
With a great deal of pride
So proud to be on the good guy's side
To serve and protect
Was their motto and guide
Right up until the day that they died

The wages of sin
Is the price you pay
If you let your ego
Get in the way
Or your demons
Lead you astray
At least that’s what
I’ve heard some people say

But what diety
Should you choose
If it’s the son,
Then does the Father lose?
And who gave the son
The Good News?
Have you contemplate that
From your pews?

Which religion
Should you follow?
Some rationals
Are hard to swallow,
Which one do you think,
Doesn’t sound hollow?
When you’re seeking
A life that’s moral

And is it enough
To believe?
In an entity
You can’t conceive
Or does that,
Make you naive?
Within the narrative
That I've weaved

The war in Ukraine
Has turned sour
And it’s gettin’ dire
By the hour
Putin must not
Remain in power
Because his demeanor
Is very dour

The war in Ukraine
Has reached a stalemate
Buttressed by Putin’s
Unique brand of hate
See his endgame
Is hard to calculate
And the bombs that he drops
Changes everyone’s fate

The war in Ukraine
I sincerely fear
Will not be limited
Nor will it stop there
And threats of nukes
Gives us quite a scare
For those wolf tickets
We need to prepare

The war in Ukraine
Has demonstrated
That “Vad The Destroyer”
Has miscalculated
The resistance he’s met
Was not anticipated
And that salient fact
Can’t be overstated
