She wears a full length sable coat
Jimmy Choo shoes
Drives a fancy car
But I got news
What’ cha might not know
Is that she’s abused
I guess you could say
She’s payin’ her dues

It doesn’t take much for him
To get upset
And she’ll be on the receiving line
You can bet
Getting beaten down
‘Til her eyes are wet
And he feels justified
With no regret

She tells herself he’s gonna change
In time
But that’s an odd thought
To have crossed her mind
Like tryin’ to return
To the scene of a crime
Where you’re the victim
Inside the chalk line

She’s the envy of those
Who have no way of knowing
‘Bout the pain she endures
That she may not be showing
They see her lifestyle
But not the cost
She has everything
But her soul has been lost

He’s my consolation
And he might be my end
You see me and John Barleycorn
Are the best of friends
I have to turn to someone
When my long day ends
And so me and John Barleycorn
Are the best of friends

Some people say be careful
Cos he packs quite a kick
And others say – watch out
Cos he can make you sick

But he’s always there
Time and time again
When I need a pick me up
I can count on him
Ya see he never fails me
I’m telling you my friend
I just have to raise my glass
And all my problems end

(Chorus)
Some people say be careful
Cos he packs quite a kick
And others say – watch out
Cos he can make you sick

I’m aware of the danger
That our friendship poses
But here’s the thing I feel
That nobody knows is
All the comfort I derive
From him being there
He has the ability
To take away despair

Some people say be careful
Cos he packs quite a kick
And others say – watch out
Cos he can make you sick

I know that they talk about us
They do it all the time
But us being the best of friends
Hardly is a crime
It’s a special relationship
That we happen to enjoy
And I’m just being candid
Instead of being coy

Some people say be careful
Cos he packs quite a kick
And others say – watch out
Cos he can make you sick

He’s my consolation
And he might be my end
You see me and John Barleycorn
Are the best of friends
I have to turn to someone
When my long day ends
And so me and John Barleycorn
Are the best of friends

Long live the name
Of John McCain
Who felt some rain
But then again
Knew sunshine too
As we all do
An imperfect man
Through and through

Long live the name
Of John McCain
Who served his country
Without refrain
A prisoner of war
Who bore that stain
With unrivaled courage
Despite the pain

Long live the name
Of John McCain
A flawed man
But all the same
Loved his country
And was never her bane
Both as a sailor
And the senator he became

Long live the name
Of John McCain
Who fought with honor
Simple and plain
How else is there
To explain
That America’s loss
Is heaven’s gain

Join the discourse
Hear the constant chatter
Though often discounted
Black lives really matter
As long as our blood
Continues to splatter
While we’re unarmed
Credence to the latter

Black lives matter
We’ve all heard it said
Too many young black men
Are winding up dead
Not just from cops
But from ourselves instead
I think enough blood
Has already been bled

All lives matter
It goes without saying
But that’s not the topic
That I’m here conveying
Pointing out the latter
Is only delaying
The issue at hand
So let’s stop the playing

Black lives matter
We’ve all heard it said
Too many young black men
Are winding up dead
Not just from cops
But from ourselves instead
I think enough blood
Has already been bled

Black lives matter
Is just a spotlight
A hash tag designed
On behalf of the fight
A glaring statement
That it isn’t right
We will not go gently
Into that good night

It’s high time that we
Begin to change course
As a way of showing
Our sincere remorse
Even if it takes
A movement to force
The changes we need
Will come in due course

Black lives matter
We’ve all heard it said
Too many young black men
Are winding up dead
Not just from cops
But from ourselves instead
I think enough blood
Has already been bled

Judging by the way
It’s now appearing
Looks like the lady
Wants  a hearing
Even though their deadline
Is swiftly nearing
And old white men
Are often domineering

There’s two sides to
Each and every story
Theirs and the truth
Then there’s allegory
Now you can disagree
But you can’t ignore me
He might cop a plea
If he wants to bore me

She’ll be accused of
All kinds of lying
As he prods along
Patently denying
That anything happened
Way back then
You know how it is
Men will be men

How it’s gonna wind up
Is anybody’s guess
Although he should be toast
More or less
Cuz his confirmation’s turning
Into one big mess
He should be withdrawn
See it’s no contest

They’re a jury of his peers
Who are worthy of our jeers
See, none among them cares
About the evidence he hears
In the upcoming senate trial
That isn’t worth our while
Because they’re all in denial
About behavior that was foul

They have closed their eyes
To the wherefores and the whys
Before one witness testifies
About the phone call we despise
Because the blind can even see
All of their complicity
So don’t take it from me
When the evidence is key

Though it’s become the big divide
From the truth they cannot hide
Although right is on our side
It’s gonna be a bumpy ride
We don’t have to ask what’s up?
With them vowing to be abrupt
Their intentions are corrupt
Cuz the party won’t be bucked

See, they’re no longer free
To practice our democracy
They’re ruled by hypocrisy
And even a guilty plea
With souls as dead as Columbine
Wouldn’t serve to change one mind
And that’s not to be unkind
It’s the blind leading the blind

Jus’ see
What’s gonna happen now
When you get
Pow-pow
I know it’s
Not your style
To have to line up
Single file

Jus’ see
When you’re in
Prison stripes
And you're confronted
With all types
When no one cares
About your gripes
After you turn off the lights

Jus’ see
What price you’re made to pay
For what you said
The other day
Why let the truth
Get in your way
See everything
Comes out some day

Jus’ see
What your producers do
After what
You put ‘em through
So let me give you
This-here clue
It’s your contract
They won’t renew

Jussie Smollett
You’re innocent I bet
If only in your own mind
But you should regret
Making us upset
Just because you’re inclined
To prevaricate
About that alleged crime of hate

Despite all your chatter
The truth of the matter
Definitely needs to be mentioned
You clearly were seeking attention
The story you conceived
Is hard to be believed
Because it defies convention
And causes nothing but dissension

You did a week
And are out as I speak
While awaiting your appeal
But for a moment let’s be real
You’re gonna find
That your appeal will be declined
Based on lack of merritt
You’re lucky a judge agreed to hear it

But you won’t relent
And take your punishment
Because you think you’re an exception
You’re practicing self-deception
Consider what it took
In order to close the book
See thirty months isn’t that bad
You’re lucky that’s all you had

He’s just a clown
In the bullfight
Who rarely gets
Things right
His statements are shared
To give us insight
But are subject to change
Almost overnight

He’s often billed
As the President’s lawyer
Or as the buffoon
Who’s an alibi destroyer
He’s often corrected
By his employer
Who lies as much
As a Tom Sawyer

Clearly the man is
A spotlight *****
Or better put
The President’s flunky
Who frequently gets
Like an ***** grinder’s monkey
A tad too cute
And a little bit spunky

He’s just a clown
In the bullfight
Or a convenient
Distraction
Who likes the arena
As well as the action
But as painful
As a tooth abstraction

Just another day
Of gun violence and fear
In the United States
So by now it should be clear
That our legislators
Must not even care
They haven’t taken action
Since they’ve been in there

Just another day
Of gun violence and fear
Permeating acrid smoke
In the atmosphere
Bodies lying motionless
After the smoke clears
And it’s happening so frequently
We’ve run out of tears

Just another day
Of gun violence and fear
But we’re not talking Middle East
It’s happening right here
Every week we seem to have
Another cross to bare
But the NRA will usually say
That we shouldn’t despair

Just another day
Of gun violence and fear
The question is how do we
Make it disappear
Before we meet our Armageddon
In a clearing near
If you have a good answer
Would you care to share?

Just because he makes us smile
Doesn’t mean he’s not a *******
He brought young girls back in style
While lusting after them all the while
It was a case of lamb to slaughter
When he first got with his step-daughter
He upset the social order
After leaving his wife to marry her daughter

He’s given rise to lots of rumor
Maybe it’s his sense of humor
This alleged nascent consumer
Of little girls who’s a late bloomer
He’s a nebbish and a clown
Of international renown
Who only tends to make us frown
But will he ever come around

He’s a genius some will say
What does it matter anyway
***** old men have to play
Keep your daughters tucked away
Silence can be sold or bought
Despite the havoc he has wrought
He hasn’t given it a second thought
You think he’s ****** but he thinks not

There shouldn’t be any doubt
Who it is I’m talking about
It’s not that hard to figure out
Why he makes you wanna shout
Now that some think he’s reformed
And their fears have all been calmed
Are we that easily charmed
When we should still be alarmed

Just because you’re there
Doesn’t mean you’re able
To change a single mind
At your master’s table
You may believe you can
But let me share with you a fable
Though they were blood brothers
Cane still slew Abel

Just because you’re there
Sitting in the room
Doesn’t mean you have the right
To summarily assume
That you can make a difference
Like the people you presume
Invited you there to do so
Under their nom de plume

Just because your there
In such close proximity
Doesn’t mean there’s been a change
In the thoughts of your enemy
It should be crystal clear
They've never been a friend ya see
And I sincerely fear
That they will never be

Just because you’re there
In the camera shot
Doesn’t mean a thing
It’s just a photo- op
Now you can proselytize
Until you choose to stop
But you’ve been invited there
Strictly as a prop

Justice Clarence Thomas
You’re the one who you most hate
Could it be because you know
That you’re second rate?
Or is it because of
Your ultra conservative mate?
Who you so assiduously
Always try to placate?

Justice Clarence Thomas
Reconcile the fact you’re black
And way back in the day
You were a daddy mack
Until you met your wife Jenny
Cos opposites attract
And she’s all the white you need
As a matter of fact

Justice Clarence Thomas
At your dinner table
You and your best friend Jenny
Discuss all that you are able
So is it any wonder
That draft ruling slipped
After all my friend
Jenny had been tipped!

Justice Clarence Thomas
They say that justice is blind
But you continuously
Choose to cross the line
You insist on voting
When you should be recused
It doesn’t seem to bother you
When the law’s abused

Justice delayed is justice denied
A familiar credo rarely applied
So the call for it is a rising tide
They’re only trying to close the divide
It came so quickly in Baltimore
Like nothing that they had ever seen before
The young prosecutor was so able and sure
Though she never tried a case like it before

This time a rookie would light the fuse
People rejoiced once given the news
The laws don’t exist for police to abuse
Responsible parties have to pay some dues
She laid the facts out chapter and verse
Starting with what she said occurred first
It began to appear that Freddie was cursed
As she laid out the charges it looked even worst

Although color only tends to distract
If you must keep track as a matter of fact
Out of the six cops three were black
Which doesn’t suggest that they knew how to act
Cops bleed blue whether black or white
The uniform’s the same am I wrong or right?
Either or they’ll put out your light
Then say you resisted and put up a fight

People were asking how Freddie died
Some rightly suspected from a bumpy ride
And now that those facts have been verified
It’s more than a theory that will get tried
Just as if Freddie was sending a sign
His broken neck and a badly cracked spine
Wasn’t self-inflicted we got to find
Did they really think that we’d lost our minds

Justice Delayed Is Justice Denied was inspired by events in Baltimore in the wake of the Freddie Gray ****** that allegedly was committed by six Baltimore police officers.

Can you envision
What I’m seeing
You and me
In the Caribbean
On a secluded isle
Somewhere
Just let your mind
Take you there

Sit back relax
Hear what I’m saying
As mental pictures
Start to playing
There’s nothing for you to prepare
Just let your mind take you there

And can you feel
The ocean breeze
Wrestling through
The tall palm trees
And on the beach
If you please
The whitest sand
Anyone sees

Sit back relax
Hear what I’m saying
As mental pictures
Start to playing
There’s nothing for you to prepare
Just let your mind take you there

As the breeze
Blows through your hair
And I make you very aware
Of just how much I really care
Just let your mind take you there

I’m trying to paint
A mental picture
Though champagne might work
A whole lot quicker
As for the details
I’m a stickler
And I can lay it on
A whole lot thicker

Sit back relax
Hear what I’m saying
As mental pictures
Start to playing
There’s nothing for you to prepare
Just let your mind take you there

Can you envision
What I’m seeing
You and me
In the Caribbean
On a secluded isle
Somewhere
Just let your mind
Take you there

He rolled up
Beside a car
Of a budding
Rap superstar
Who’s now dead
So there you are
I guess we haven’t
Got that far

Just like
The Wild Wild West (I guess)
And as deadly (nevertheless)
Though they try to do their best
So few ever pass that test

Cowboys don’t
Go down like that
Once the director
Says it’s a wrap
They get up
And dust off their hat
Then go home
From where they’re at

Just like
The Wild Wild West (I guess)
And as deadly (nevertherless)
Though they try to do their best
So few rappers pass that test

Votive candles
In makeshift shrines
Which we’re seeing
Too many times
Now that the reasons
Have lost their rhymes
Theses are the best
And worst of times

Just like
The Wild Wild West (I guess)
And as deadly (nevertherless)
Though they try to do their best
So few rappers pass that test

May the deceased
Rest in peace
As we ask
When will it cease
Their deaths seems to be
On the increase
And I’m not adding
Any yeast

Do they suffer from PTSD?
Take a closer look to see
They’re not the people
That they used to be
After having been deployed
Multiple times ya see
For them the phrase,
“War is hell!” is  REALITY!

They’re just war veterans
The nation swore to protect
Yet their war related illnesses
Are found to be suspect
So they go largely untreated
But hey what the heck
Is there any wonder
Why their lives are a wreck?

When they went marching’
Off to war
In places that we hadn’t
Been before
To sacrifice on
Some misbegotten foreign shore
They did everything
That we implored

So this Vereran’s Day
When they’re on parade
I ask you to think about
The sacrifices they’ve made
And about their lost comrades
Who can’t be repaid
Before you allow
Their memories to fade

Just when we thought
It had gone away
Libya brought back
Slavery today
The victims are migrants
Or so they say
Although it’s pernicious
In every way

Just when we thought
The world had progressed
Libya has shown us
That nevertheless
They’re capable of doing
What we’d never guess
Enslaving others
Of whom they think less

Just when we thought
We passed the time
That we’d have to revive
That old paradigm
Libya commits
An inhumane crime
Greed is their reason
But what is the rhyme

Just when we thought
That we wouldn’t see
A sudden return
To man’s bad history
The fact that it’s happening
Makes it easy to see
We have a long way to go
If you’re asking me

If you’re who you say you are
And you’re really my girl
Don’t upload another picture
To share with the world
Tell me what’s sacred
If everyone can see
Parts of your body
That should be for me

Sometimes I think
You must forget
That’s not real life
It’s just the internet

I often wonder
Who you trying to impress
By showing yourself
In a state of undress
Tell me if you can
What you’re hoping to get
By exposing yourself
On the worldwide net

Sometimes I think
You must forget
That’s not real life
It’s just the internet

What am I to think
When you’re ******* like Kim
And you’re not even close
To a Kadashian
I’m not Kanye
I hope you understand
Cuz I’ve never been
That kind of man

Sometimes I think
You must forget
That’s not real life
It’s just the internet

This is our lives
Not reality TV
See I hate to gripe
But if you’re with me
Take yourself off display
For the whole world to see
Have some discretion
For me that is key

Sometimes I think
You must forget
That’s not real life
It’s just the internet

Sometimes I think
You must forget
That’s not real life
It’s just the internet
So what’s the point
In getting me upset
Or engaging in habits
You’ll later regret
Don’t get caught up
Playing that game
For fifteen minutes
Of instant fame

Kanye for president
Give me a break
At least his ego’s
Wide awake
I doubt he has
What it takes
We’ve had enough
Fabulous fakes

Kanye for president
Let’s get real
Though it might have
Mass appeal
It’s a notion
That’s surreal
Cos most of us
Know the deal

Kanye for president
Have you heard
If that thought
Even occurred
We all know
That it’s absurd
How could he be
The one preferred

Kanye for president
Pure fantasy
Especially if
You’re asking me
Megalomania
That must be
Fueled by his ego
Don’t cha see

I’m not buying
What he’s selling
He should whisper
‘Stead of yelling
He’s the greatest
From what he’s telling
Which is the ego trap
That he fell in

Who’s the best
Let me guess
Could it be Kanye West
Is it no or is it yes
Some might say
He’s so much less
But sing his praises
Nonetheless

I realize
He was a gift
When it comes to
Taylor Swift
But he didn’t make her famous
That’s a myth
Nor is he a *****
That she’d get with

Kanye’s clearly out his mind
He proves that time after time
What a megalomaniac paradigm
With an outsized ego short of a crime
He’s convinced himself that Yessus
Is a walk on water short of Jesus
Raise the dead and he might please us
Short of that I am nonplussed

You’re in for
A bumpy ride
You can run
Or you can hide
But the law of equality
Will be applied
And karma will
Not be denied

What you do
Inevitably
Comes back to you
Unquestionably
Give it some time
And you will see
The unveiling of
The mystery

Now here’s
The thing of it
What you give
You get
Time will pay
The debt
So you
Should not forget

This is
A general rule
For the knave
Or fool
Karma takes
Us to school
And often
Can be cruel

Keep his *** in Super Max
With little time for him to relax
The Boston bombings
Were attacks and those are just
The salient facts
What he did landed him in there
Whether or not the trial was fair
As a matter of fact we don’t even care

Why you ask, do I vilify him?
Aren’t you also a Mu -sa-lim?
Maybe so, but I’m not with him
What he acted on was a whim
Find for me, if you can
Where torture’s sanctioned in the Qu’ran
When killing the innocent is clearly banned
Which so few jihadis seem to understand

I understand how he must feel,
It’s hard inside, thus his appeal
But four people died, so let’s keep it real
Like I hope he does when he begins to kneel
Dzhokar Tsarnaev has been named
The killer of four, others he maimed
But even still he’s not ashamed
Because now he’s trying to shift the blame

Radical Islam is a poor excuse
For the kind of carnage and abuse
For which Dzhokar and his brother were accused
In the name of Islam, Allah is not amused
So the appeal, that he’s now demanding
Only illustrates his poor understanding
Of the religion that he professes
When what he did Allah never blesses!

For those of us
Keeping score
We’ve heard their arguments
Before
But can we continue
To ignore
We’re in a constant
A state of war

Guns don’t **** people
Yeah (it’s true)
But those with guns
Often do
What will it take
To get through
To those of us
Who have no clue

No matter what
Is done or said
Those killed by guns
Are no less dead
It’s time we start
Looking ahead
And try to put
This thing to bed

We can argue
Amendment rights
And wind up in
The same old fights
That makes us stay awake
At nights
Or change the things
That it spotlights

Conclusion no collusion
Kellyanne Conway said
Confusion and illusion
Or so her cue cards read
Liar truth denier
She’s always been instead
A reliable justifier
While moving their agenda ahead

Hickory dickory Dock
I can’t help but to mock
The way she made her point
By clouding up the joint
Where there’s smoke there’s fire
Nine times out of ten
And it’s my desire
That the church just say amen!

She’s been branded a liar
On The Morning Joe
Therefore, on their airways
She’s not allowed to go
Because she’s not reliable
And they’ve told her so
That fact is undeniable
Even when the news is slow

Now her reputation
Is on the chopping blocks
Everywhere that is
With the exception of FOX
Who gives her an audience
And listens as she talks
To this reoccurring character
In the funnies on Boondocks

Keven McCarthy says he’s had it
Cos he can’t stand the truth
And Senator Liz Cheney
Is the living proof
She refuses to promote the big lie
Or should I say the spoof
That the last presidential election was stolen
Which the evidence disproves

Republicans have lost their soul
They’re marching in lock step
They’re not the Republicans of old
What we see is what we get
They’re tied to a failed president
Who lies with no regret
It’s a cult of personality
And they’re all in his debt

Repulican have sold their souls
To the devil incarnate
And they deserve the shrinking ranks
That they no doubt will get
They have bet their entire house
Which is about to be upset
But they pay this no nevermind
Which will be to their regret

They no longer believe in God
They swore fealty to the devil
I know what I’m saying is hard
But it’s on the level
They will soon be buried
Can someone get  a shovel
It’s high time that we
Unite to bust their bubble

They believe in him
No matter what
And it’s that belief
That has us in a rut
It’s as startling
As a kick in the gut

Like a high note
From Mariah
He’s incendiary
And lights a fire
To the delight of some
Though he’s a liar
So to put it simply
A pusillanimous pariah

And even when
He’s being nice
Certain names
He likes to mention twice
He’s as comforting
As a case of lice
On the ***** hairs

Don’t look for him
To bring us together
Cuz it’s not happening
Until the 12th of never
Don’t cha know that
He’s not that clever
And he’s not up
To that endeavor

The black man’s burden
Don’t need easing
When it comes to them
It’s  open season
And it don’t need
No rhyme or reason

**** a *****,
If you can
Start a race war
They can’t win
Now’s the time
So let’s begin
It doesn’t matter
Where or when

I guess he’s just
King in name
Cuz he don’t wanna
Take no blame
So everything
Remains the same
As if this is
Some kind of game

He don’t really
Give a ****
That’s why we see him
Pass the buck
On those questions
He gets stuck
And when he wins
It’s just dumb luck

Have you noticed
His hair doo
That’s plastered down
With Krazy Glue
Say something
And he’ll sue
But I’m not telling you
Nothing new

He was warned
Way in advance
But where is his
Cyrus Vance
To inform him
So by chance
He wouldn’t just talk
But would do the dance

Alone in my room
With me and my gloom
It’s like being entombed
And flowers don’t bloom
In the grave
Nor are moments like these
To be saved

But from my darkness
There’s light
I feel sunny and bright
Like everything’s gonna be alright

And the gloom is suddenly gone
Like the darkness of night after dawn
So when we embrace
It all comes into place
Like being kissed
By mist in your face

And my lips become moist
My silence gives voice
To the ecstasy I feel inside
You know how to open me wide
Like an addictive drug
I’m feeling the tug
Of your love

But from my darkness
There’s light
I feel sunny and bright
Like everything’s gonna be alright

And the gloom is suddenly gone
Like the darkness of night after dawn
So when we embrace
It all comes into place
Like being kissed
By mist in your face

All I know is this
In any case
I’ve been kissed
By mist in my face
All I know is this
In any case
I’ve been kissed
By mist in my face

Alone in my room
With me and my gloom
It’s like being entombed
And flowers don’t bloom
In the grave
Nor are moments like these
To be saved

But from my darkness
There’s light
I feel sunny and bright
Like everything’s gonna be alright

Like the darkness of night after dawn

It all comes into place
Like being kissed
By mist in your face

Donald Trump can kiss my ***
I’m writing this to put him on blast
Cuz as our president he’s been miscast
Everyone should wear a mask
Here’s a true and salient fact
When it came to coronavirus
He was slow to act
Perhaps that explains why the deck’s been stacked

Write it down as part of this stip’
Despite him having lots of lip
He hasn’t provided any leadership
So on our radar he’s just a blip
He’s a poor excuse for a president
I’m not the only one who shares this sentiment
When it comes to dividing us he seems hell-bent
And no matter what I say he will not relent

Evidence is more than ample
That he refuses to lead by example
He’s too vain for us to sample
And find me one norm, that he hasn’t trampled
He’s unconditionally unqualified
And time after time we find that he’s lied
But where he hasn’t, we know that he’s tried
And none of what I’ve said can be denied.

Donald J. Trump is a clear disaster
He’s in bad need of prayer and a pastor
And should accept Jesus Christ as his master
Instead of cozying up to that Fox newscaster
But he is a hopeless narcissist
Whose own self image he can’t resist
And long age should have been dismissed
But all he’s gotten is a slap on the wrist

Gorging on ice cream
She’s now on a binge
See she played with fire
And then she got singed
They say she hasn’t bathed
Or washed in days
As an awful consequence of
Her cheating ways

She chose to break dawn
With a married man
But the point of the matter is
Someone other than
The guy she lived with
That she claimed to love
She’s so full of
What I’m thinking of

She jilted her boyfriend
For a new flame
Which naturally upset him
Though that wasn’t her aim
One night of passion
She thought might be fun
With an older man
But look what she’s done

She chose to break dawn
With a married man
But the point of the matter is
Someone other than
The guy she lived with
That she claimed to love
She’s so full of
What I'm thinkin' of

Now she’s all alone
With the memory
Of someone she lost
Because she couldn’t see
Beyond her desire
For forbidden fruit
Now it is dire
And also absolute

He felt disgraced
In such a public way
That he said goodbye
Cuz what else could he say
And now she regrets
Everything that she did
But sorry is much too late
You’ll have to admit

She chose to break dawn
With a married man
But the point of the matter is
Someone other than
The guy she lived with
That she claimed to love
She’s so full of
What I'm thinkin' of

It’s a tale of caution
If you’re likewise inclined
All that glitters isn’t gold
You too will find
Unless you’re prepared
For the consequence
Being unfaithful
Doesn’t make any sense

******* up face
But where was the water?
Kyle Rittenhouse should be convicted
Ya know he oughta
But I doubt he will pay
For the slaughter
That he committed
As jury deliberations grow even shorter

Now that the defence
Has done it’s part
Before the rioting
Can even start
They’ve called in
The National Guard
In case the verdict
Is taken too hard

What we’re seeing
On parade
Is the American justice system
Which is a charade
Cos Rittenhouse won’t lie down
In the bed that he’s made
And in good time
His memory will fade

He came from
Twenty miles away
Locked and loaded
Not to play
Determined to shoot
Whoever got in his way
The question is
Will he be made to pay?

We’re the last of the Mohegans
Here’s the reason why
Everybody else
Has passed us by
Once we thought that we
Would never die
In our sandbox years
Death didn’t apply

We’re the last of the Mohegans
You and I
But one day we too
Are gonna die
And others will be left
To question why
It’’s a universal law
None can deny

We’re the last of the Mohegans
Left here today
All of our friends
Have passed away
From various causes
So it’s hard to say
Who’s gonna be next
On what hour or day

We’re the last of the Mohegans
Left around
Most of our friends
Are at rest underground
But that’s God’s will
Sad as it may sound
And we hope that they’re all
Heaven bound

Leningrad Lindsey
And Moscow Mitch
One’s a chameleon
The other a-*****
It’s hard to figure out
Which one is which
They both have a tendency
To position switch

Leningrad Lindsey
And Moscow Mitch
Make a hell of a pair
You must admit
One’s been enchanted
The other has a glitch
But both ‘em tend to
Favor the rich

Leningrad Lindsey
And Moscow Mitch
Speak in unison
In perfect pitch
On behalf of the interests
They hope to enrich
With a snake oil like
Smooth sales pitch

Leningrad Lindsey
And Moscow Mitch
Are enough together
To give you barber’s itch
Call me what cha wanna
Even a snitch
But they’re both on a wagon
Without a hitch

Let’s unveil the mystery
Of Leonard Cohen
At the Chelsea Hotel
She sang Me and My Bobby McGee
And from what I hear
She sang it well
Though he wasn't pretty at all
She answered her carnal call

So there on an unmade bed
Lay Leonard
While receiving head
In the throws
Of complete ecstasy
Oblivious
To all else but she
Lost inside of their debauchery

She preferred the handsome type
But she didn’t complain
Didn’t, gripe
About the way Leonard looked
Non-traditional
Once she got hooked
On the feeling making love made
He was one of an endless parade

And on the street down below
Their limousines idled
He told us so
While they did the tango
In each other’s arms
And became susceptible
To one another’s charms
Their passion burned four alarms

Let me tell my story
Nothing but the facts
I’m taking inventory
So sit back and relax
I came up the hard way
Wrong side of the tracks
Where the only people living there
Were Mexicans and Blacks

Who said it was pretty
Least of all not me
But I don’t need your pity
At last I’m finally free

We were at the bottom
A long way from the top
Name a drug we got ‘em
With places you can cop
Crime rate kept on rising
With no signs it would stop
The only jobs that were available
Came with a broom and mop

Who said it was pretty
Least of all not me
But I don’t need your pity
At last I’m finally free

Let me tell my story
Chapter and verse
Under the category
Of someone who is cursed

There was baby momma drama
Everywhere you looked
So here I’ll place a comma
Man I could write a book
About their missing fathers
Tryin’ to get off the hook
But why should I even bother
Ya see their goose is cooked

Who said it was pretty
Least of all not me
But I don’t need your pity
At last I’m finally free

I was in the ghetto
It wasn’t in me
Thank God I had the metal
And I could also see
Despite my circumstances
Way past my poverty
I just took my chances
To explore my destiny

Let’s just suppose,
The victim had been white
With a policeman on his neck,
In broad daylight
Would the reaction be the same
Kind of uptight?
Or would the American people
Simply wanna fight?

Would that kind of law enforcement
Be tolerated?
In These United States,
Or be hated?
And would the President
Choose to complicate it
By releasing careless Tweets
That down rate it

Let’s just suppose,
The shoe was on the other foot
Where do you think that knee,
Might have been put?
And would the pressure
Have been relieved?
If a  desperate white man said,
He couldn’t breathe?

We as a society
Have to change our racist ways
All lives matter
Especially now-a-days
The police have to turn over
A whole brand new leaf
One that doesn’t result
In death and unnecessary grief

Let’s keep out the Syrians
Fleeing oppression
Someone’s gotta teach
Those rag-heads a lesson
And we’re not inclined to
Give them our blessing
When they may hide
A terrorist I’m guessing

Let’s keep out the Syrians
While housing our own
Christian white terrorists
Who at least are homegrown
With whom there’s no problem
None that I’ve known
No matter how bitter
The seeds that they’ve sown

Let’s keep out the Syrians
Who are at our gate
No matter how desperate
Or uncertain their fate
Our old sense of charity
Now is open to debate
And it’s become quite easy
To show them our hate

Let’s keep out the Syrians
The strangers we fear
While the enemies within
Are ever near
They’re our friends and neighbors
And folks we hold dear
Who have caused more mayhem
It would appear

He can stomp and shout
And even talk about
Let’s keep the Muslims out
And he’d do it, there’s no doubt
But he cannot pretend
There are no enemies within
More than now and then
People of another skin

On any given day
He may wake up and say
Let’s put ‘em all away
Or water board ‘em, okay?
He says what the heck
Because he doesn’t have respect
For the politically correct
I sincerely do detect

He talks off the cuff
Often with language that is rough
They seem to love his guff
Because they think he’s talking tough
We knew he wasn’t the nicest
But now he’s also helping ISIS
And so my sage advice is
Let’s stop him from rolling the dices

Despite how we might feel
We mustn’t allow ourselves to heel
To that fear monger’s appeal
Or give credence to his spiel
Because it cannot be denied
Judging by the way he’s lied
That he’s living to divide
And we know that’s no bromide

Let’s make America
Great Again
And even when it isn’t
Let’s just pretend
That we will dominate
Without end
So let’s embrace our foes
And cast aside our friends

Let’s make America
Great again
And if the president betrays us
As only he can
When his actions are treasonous
Let’s understand
That he is nothing more
Than a straw man

Let’s make America
Great again
At the expense of all others
Every now and then
Is that the kind of message
That we want to send?
And that everybody else’s will
Just have to bend

Let’s make America
Great again
As if we weren’t already
Before he began
To upset the applecart
And attempt to extend
America first
Some kind of trend

Let’s not call ‘em protesters
If they’re burning and
They’re looting
Let’s not call them protester
If they’re breaking glass windows
And shooting
Let’s call them what they are
Just blatant opportunists

Let’s not call them protesters
Which is not to suggest
That it wouldn’t be proper to
Call them insurrectionists
Let’s not get confused
As to what it is we’re seeing
When we observe them
Throwing objects while they’re fleeing

Let’s not call them protesters
Even when the cause is just
Because those hooligans
Don’t represent any of us
Let’s not call ‘em protester
When they’re stoking public fears
Let’s call them what they are
Simply put provocateurs

Let’s not call ‘em protesters
When they disregard the law
Let’s not call them protesters
Who are openly declaring war
Against the established order
Just to even a score
Let’s not call ‘em protesters
We never did before

Let’s not pretend,
That Make America Great Again
Doesn’t refer
To a time back when
Blacks and others were
Hung from trees
And the stench from their carcasses
Over powered the breeze

Let’s not pretend
That Make America Great Again
Isn’t riminiscent
Of how the red man was treated
After being bamboozled
Killed savagely and defeated
Because of blind hatred
That was so deep-seated

Let’s not pretend
That Make America Great Again
Isn’t a phrase
Made to cover sin
Based on the concept
Of the three fifth men
Whose opportunities
Are none to slim

Let’s not pretend
That Make America Great Again
Doesn’t hark back to
Where the color of skin
Was a clear indicator
Of who was foe or friend
Even though that era
Should have come to an end

Let’s pull the rug
From under that murderous ****
Who clearly needs a hug
Or some kind of drug
Some say that he’s crazy
And while that well may be
He’s not a human being
Judging by what we’re seeing

Let’s sit him down
With both feet on the ground
Cos he’s too muscle bound
And his judgment isn’t sound
Even when he’s at his best
He is still one hot mess
And I guess he always was
That’s why he does what he does

Let’s whip his ***
Now that the dye’s been cast
And his future is his past
See his dynasty can’t last
We need to hobble him
Or tear him limb by limb
Until he’s incapacitated
Lord knows that man is hated

Let’s just commence
Since the battle is intense
And it makes perfect sense
For us to get off the fence
We can’t let him succeed
So let’s give ‘em all they need
The righteous shall prevail
As his ship looses its sail

We saw it burn
Now I’m concerned
With what can be learned
Before we return
To what we know
The status quo
With nothing to show
Can someone say whoa!

Let’s tear a small page
From the outrage
When kids are engaged
They don’t usually stage
The kind of destruction
That leads to reduction
In the production
Of new construction

Out of the fallen ashes
From our past clashes
Let’s find what surpasses
Ignoring the masses
Why can’t we fill the void
Like an anabolic steroid
For the underemployed
Whom we usually avoid

Subtract the crime
Which I can’t cosign
From the paradigm
Don’t let it define
The legitimacy
Or what well might be
The urgency of now
Which is key anyhow

Let the brown
Shoe polish flow
It’s the Rudy and Trump
**** show
As the covid-19 numbers
Continue to grow
And they try to reverse
The  outcome we know

Let the sweat
Pour down his face
America’s mayor,
Or a national disgrace?
He lies through his teeth
And in any case
He’s launching lawsuits
That are thrown out on their face

Let the affidavits
He says are the proof
Be entered in the courts
If they are the truth
Or let him drown his sorrows
In gin and vermouth
‘Cuz they don’t like the results
From the voting booths

Let the President
Try to intimidate
The election officials
From every swing state
By inviting them
To a White House lunch date
Where he hopes to convince them
To back his failed slate

If it was nothing more
Than a night of ***
Whatever happens going forward
Let us have no regrets
Neither of us know
So let’s not place bets
Though I hope what develops
Neither of us forgets

If it was nothing more
Than a strong attraction
That caused my libido
To seek satisfaction
It’s because my credo
Is I believe in action
That’s just how I am
No need for a redaction

If we don’t have a future
And that was all it was
Let appreciate what
The heat of the moment does
And enjoy the time we had
If only, just because
We responded to our passion
And obeyed nature’s laws

If we find it was a case
Of love at first sight
Then we’ll go with the flow
Cuz why should we fight
If it’s our destiny
Then it has to be right
And we’ll both reminisce
About our special night

If you only knew
What the LGBTQ
Community goes through
Because of me and you
Or who they choose to *****
Come on tell me true,
Do you have a clue
As  to what you should do?

Yet we choose not to budge
And are so quick to judge
Those whom we begrudge
For packing the fudge
On shaky ground we trudge
As we wallow in the sludge
Let me give you a nudge
This isn’t Mat Drudge

They speak of gay pride
And without being snide
We can’t abide
Though it can’t be denied
It’s for them to decide
What they choose not to hide
They took time to confide
And to open up wide

Who you gonna sue,
For being LGBTQ?
Someone out of the blue
Your niece or nephew
Sons or daughters too
For acts we eschew
Wrong church, right pew
Though no one asked you

One of the lies
That the President told
Is “We took him out,
And we took him cold!”
When the fact of the matter
If I may be so bold
Is in actuality,
The man got rolled

Don’t get me wrong
I don’t sympathize
With a man that the
Whole world should despise
The question to ask is
Was it wise
To remove a man
Who’s revered in Iranian eyes

So let’s talk about
The alleged threat
From the President’s men
That’s all you get
But an addicted gambler
Wouldn’t place a bet
On the veracity
Of what had them upset

Our missiles are bigger
The President says
If we compare them
With theirs
But if we go to war
Who the hell cares
Besides the undertakers
Who increase their shares

Life’s a marathon
It’s never been a sprint
But time goes by so fast
You’ll wonder where it went
So make the most of it
Would be my comment
And when the clock runs out
You can die content

Life’s a marathon
It’s never been a dash
You must conserve energy
If you want to last
It’s not won by the swiftest
Because they run real fast
Is it won by the wisest
You might want to ask

Life’s a marathon
So to stay in the running
More than being fast
You’ll have to be cunning
If you want to last
And be deemed as stunning
Once the dye is cast
Your victory is coming

Life’s a marathon
Not a simple race
If you want to win
You’ll have to keep pace
And time yourself
To stay in the chase
In order to cross the line
And come in first place
