i wanna swim in your eyes and nap in your soul.

i could spell out your name with Christmas leaves
‘cause we danced like forever with them falling
and when winter came around,
we were in a snow globe moment
you blew a cold puff of air
i said to kiss me for real
in the gingerbread house that we built for ourselves

Winter says why can't I bloom just the same?
Winter feels the rain
just as heavy as a window pane does
Winter waited to be a stemmed rose

Winter had the courage to turn into spring
Winter had succulent lips and smooth edged rims
so drunk on the memory
Winter tasted bittersweet
Where would winter lay in?
White sheets with rays of sunlight coming in,
Sinks in sandy skin
Rather than its own silken dew of a morning
Oh how Summer would never envy

How would winter say?
Curses like its cool these days,
Turn its stone of a heart a little soft,
And while you trace the words it haunts
the living hallways
Oh how Fall can relate

Would winter stay?
Like brush strokes of wind across the canvas,
It paints a frostbitten landscape
Grown and buried in ice, paraded and stained
Oh to be like Spring, it wants to bloom out of rain

i'm not gonna stop loving us,
to be with you,
and in your arms
i fixed your broken heart

You gave me a sign
When you came to me
You have set me free
And I will set you on high
Because you've known my name
God I want your way, not mine
You have set me free, tonight
God gave me a sign, tonight
God gave me wings to fly
