Her body lies so close to mine
She makes me feel weak
The smell of her hair her arm wrapped around me
It feels, oh so divine
She whimpers on her sleep just a soft sound
She slightly stirs frightened
A nightmare has been found
She looks around and hopes in still sleeping
She feels embarrassed
She hopes I don't see her weeping
I take her up into my arms and I whisper to her
"My dear oh my dear
You should not fear
The light day will soon be here
And I will always be near"
She lies in my arms slowly drifting back
And I kiss her lips as she starts to sleep
In a silent slumber
She oh so needs.

I was walking through the jungle
When at once i saw a lion.
We each walked to the other
And he immediately roared
"Why aren't you afraid of me?"
But i misinterpretted it as
"Why? Aren't you afraid of me?"
So I responded "No way!"
Well, he looked at me incredulously
As if I were three shades of crazy
Whilst I turned my back
And walked away.
Indeed I thought I had won the day.

Well I got about five steps,
Before lo and behold,
Guess who was in front of me
Taking a long roar to say
"How dare you turn your back to me!
Be it brave or stupidity
I'll have my meal today!"
"Look a gazelle!" I point and say
Immediately running away.
I didn't get far,
No I didnt get far.
But it didn't take much
For the hunter to get his way.

Sleep, sleep, my beloved,
without worry, without fear,
although my soul does not sleep,
although I do not rest.

Sleep, sleep, and in the night
may your whispers be softer
than a leaf of grass,
or the silken fleece of lambs.

May my flesh slumber in you,
my worry, my trembling.
In you, may my eyes close
and my heart sleep.

the world hits like a train
obliteration and pain
an unstoppable force
no alternative course

the world has no care
emotionless and unfair
eyes only to ****
apathetic of gods will

the world tells jokes
they're mostly a hoax
raising hopes high
hanging you in the sky

the world is sympathetic
in a fools aesthetic
it allows you to live
with nothing left to give

Now this particular girl
During a ceremonious april walk
With her latest suitor
Found herself, of a sudden, intolerably struck
By the birds' irregular babel
And the leaves' litter.

By this tumult afflicted, she
Observed her lover's gestures unbalance the air,
His gait stray uneven
Through a rank wilderness of fern and flower;
She judged petals in disarray,
The whole season, sloven.

How she longed for winter then! --
Scrupulously austere in its order
Of white and black
Ice and rock; each sentiment within border,
And heart's frosty discipline
Exact as a snowflake.

But here -- a burgeoning
Unruly enough to pitch her five queenly wits
Into ****** motley --
A treason not to be borne; let idiots
Reel giddy in bedlam spring:
She withdrew neatly.

And round her house she set
Such a barricade of barb and check
Against mutinous weather
As no mere insurgent man could hope to break
With curse, fist, threat
Or love, either.
Australia takes her pen in hand
To write a line to you,
To let you fellows understand
How proud we are of you.

From shearing shed and cattle run,
From Broome to Hobson's Bay,
Each native-born Australian son
Stands straighter up today.

The man who used to "**** his drum",
On far-out Queensland runs
Is fighting side by side with some
Tasmanian farmer's sons.

The fisher-boys dropped sail and oar
To grimly stand the test,
Along that storm-swept Turkish shore,
With miners from the west.

The old state jealousies of yore
Are dead as Pharaoh's sow,
We're not State children any more —
We're all Australians now!

Our six-starred flag that used to fly
Half-shyly to the breeze,
Unknown where older nations ply
Their trade on foreign seas,

Flies out to meet the morning blue
With Vict'ry at the prow;
For that's the flag the Sydney flew,
The wide seas know it now!

The mettle that a race can show
Is proved with shot and steel,
And now we know what nations know
And feel what nations feel.

The honoured graves beneath the crest
Of Gaba Tepe hill
May hold our bravest and our best,
But we have brave men still.

With all our petty quarrels done,
Dissensions overthrown,
We have, through what you boys have done,
A history of our own.

Our old world diff'rences are dead,
Like weeds beneath the plough,
For English, Scotch, and Irish-bred,
They're all Australians now!

So now we'll toast the Third Brigade
That led Australia's van,
For never shall their glory fade
In minds Australian.

Fight on, fight on, unflinchingly,
Till right and justice reign.
Fight on, fight on, till Victory
Shall send you home again.

And with Australia's flag shall fly
A spray of wattle-bough
To symbolise our unity —
We're all Australians now.

Lowering me down slowly
into the pit of my eternity,
placing flowers in my recognition,
doesn't make you an innocent man.

There once was a land, some would call far
You can find it beneath the forty-eighth star
If you take a right turn at the end of the sky
And then follow the tears that a child has cried

Magic will find you, once you are there
It will come in the form of a blue dancing bear
From the curve of his nose, to the gait of his pose
To the belly that stops him from touching his toes
You’ll love this blue bear, wherever he goes

“Come and dance!” called the bear
From the gypsies green fire
“And we’ll whirl and we’ll twirl
‘round the cloud castle’s spire

You can stay there forever
Just you and the bear
And you’ll never be lonely
And you’ll never be scared
But know, as your dancing feet leave the ground
Once you’ve gone up
You can never come down
A life in the stars at the cloud castle’s fair
Spinning forever with the blue dancing bear

Loneliness

Loneliness is owner of his house
He hates these walls so much
Can’t rest well, he is scared
Loneliness is sister to fear
It haunts his mind
It ushers in darkness
Loneliness has him thirsty for a drink
Liquor making him sink in quicksand
Give another to the man with the empty eyes
Loneliness devours his soul, isolation
He wanders at night
Staring at stars wondering
Feeling nothingness embrace him
He is wishing for something
Ponders his life, deals with his issues
He closes his eyes and breathes deep
He needed this…loneliness
