Your footsteps, whispered song,
Basement stairs too long.
Rustle of your clothes.
Crackle of flexions,
Sniffle of your nose.
Colours you chose

Your hand on my pillow,
The rattle of your keys.
Hinges of the door tease.
Silent morning sun,
Sliding o’er the snow.
Love the things I know.

Shadow of that moonlit tree,
Where you head could be.
Waiting for those quiet sounds,
To set me free.

Will keep you whole

The power of my heart
The passion we hold every day

Always standing alone,
Strangers filling her home.
Hungry hands fondled her *******,
Taking her owned she had left.

No where to go, only frost.
All treasures long lost.
No one to listen her cost.
Empty, her bucket tossed.

Each day was the same.
No hugs, only pain.
No promise let her live.

Cheaters Need a Lie to Bed On

Cheaters need a lie to bed on,
A quilt of falsehood finely spread.
Their whispers weave a fragile fabric,
Where hollow dreams dare rest their head.

Each thread is spun from fleeting shadows,
Each stitch a secret, sharp and thin.
But lies, though soft in their beginning,
Soon unravel from within.

The weight of truth, a restless burden,
Presses heavy on the frame.
And though they think their bed eternal,
It’s set alight by sparks of shame.

For honesty, though slow to waken,
Carries with it steady might.
And darkness flees when it is met with
The piercing dawn of morning light.

Born needs that poke and pry.
Hungered treasure other eyes.
Will to take, till love died.
Happiness fought from ding-a-lings,
Diamonds, bracelets, golden ring.

Other vultures heard her sing.
Many others just like her.
Picked partners she made purr.
Close, not smart enough,
To get away, with other’s stuff.
Began to treat her ruff.
Trouble followed everywhere.

Damage she left didn’t care.
Tried to blame cards and stars.
Attitude like one from Mars.
Nothing ever got her far.
Could never jump, that big bar.

Grab pirate’s top cigar.
Now hangs from pover-tree,
Still swings so needlessly.
Envies all she has lost.
Can’t acknowledge, just because,
Little brain, mostly claws.
Never found her Santa Cause.

Dawn's Delight in Verse
Sept 12, 2023

In the morn's embrace, the sun so bright,
It soon challenges snow, a thunderous fight.
Yet I rise, a stumbling, graceless feat,
Upon my restless, ever-creaking seat.

A pillow, faithful but in rodeo style,
Carries me forth, mile after weary mile.
Shoulders tense on the edge of day,
As my hip complains in its stubborn way.

In this daily race, my manhood I seek,
Lost, perhaps, in the midst of the week.
I contemplate time's eternal clock,
In search of rest, my sanctuary, my rock.

To the bathroom's icy rim, I'm led,
A tightrope walker on an ice rink, I tread.
Yesterday's fiery win, now a fading taste,
As I brush, lost in the cosmos' vast space.

Reflections of a tongue's wild escapade,
In history's footsteps, my fortune laid.
Rabble and chaos, ashes, and soot,
In life's grand theater, we play each part.

Praise be to the gods, whose fate we share,
In pajamas, we rely on threadbare wear.
Each day's adventure, a comedic embrace,
With laughter and stumble, we run the race.

Life's unpredictable script we recite,
As we navigate each twist and each fight.
In this grand comedy, we find our place,
With humor and grace, we embrace the chase.

Each morning, I wake—
hungry, not just for bread or breath,
but for something deeper,
a taste of the world still untamed,
a bite of what I have yet to find.

I have walked with loss,
felt the weight of dreams half-grown,
and watched as belief slipped,
like sand through open hands.

Incomplete, yes—
but I wear it like a second skin,
not as a wound,
but as a mark of a life still reaching.

I wake, and I am alive,
hungry for what’s next,
for love, for understanding,
for the answers I will never find—
and that’s enough.

In each sunrise, I feel the ache
of being unfinished,
but I know,
there’s beauty in the emptiness.

Poem on Love as a Universal Force
9 December 2025

The Force That Binds

The stars once scattered, wild and free,
Yet yearned for bonds invisibly,
A pull unseen, a whispered sound,
The love that stitched the heavens round.

In atoms’ dance, in tides’ embrace,
In hearts that seek a gentle space,
The force that shapes both stone and soul,
A cosmic thread that makes us whole.

No boundary binds it, none resist,
Not flesh, nor steel, nor morning mist.
It hums in circuits, beats in clay,
An ageless rhythm, night and day.

Oh, force unseen yet ever near,
It births our joy, it shapes our fear.
What if we knew, as stars above,
That all we are is shaped by love?

Would we not listen, seek to share,
To find it dwelling everywhere?

Logistics of Social Cost
Thoughts of my morning.
24 May 2021

It costs so little to set aside the commodities of prejudice and prejudgment.
Yet we all carry the burden and the expense of their weight.
They are a specific inheritance from suppliers, including our ancestors and history, that we need not treasure. They are not ours. They are weapons developed by others. We have all felt their pain, seen their power, triaged the damage to our common good, counted the increasing prevalence of use today.
Moments of reflection on how we negatively assess the actions of others using those stereo judges, would save us from distributing hurt, anger, and pain to others. Who sent us our pain? Why did we buy it? We can be more diligent with the “goods” we sell and keep on our self shelf.
Who stole our laughter, our peace, our humanity, our care, our tolerance, our forgiveness, our respect, our acceptance of difference? Traded them for anxiety and fear?
This is the time and opportunity to examine our values and to share love and respect. We have the tools. They are also commodities. They are being misused.
Let’s spend less on protection and more on prevention.
If you’re not sure how, follow a child or a puppy.
Such a low cost for such an amazing reward.
Love you.
Not hard to say.
