Every cause has an effect
And for every action, a reaction
Risk may yield reward
And so I risk my life for you.
All history is Black history,
wrapped in the shadows of time,
obscured by secret purpose and motive.
The Mother of mankind is as black as night itself,
the rich earth as dark as the space between stars.
History IS Black, and a month barely begins
to scratch its near-inscrutable surface.

Pierce my heart
Freeze my veins
Never let me
Feel again
Rip me in two
Shatter my soul
Toss it in
The blackest hole
Lose the color
In my lips
Turning blue
My fingertips
Bleed me out
Til I'm dry
The lowest lows
With no highs
Black roses grow
In my chest
All I want
Is to rest
I become death
And death becomes me
I may be decaying
But at least I'm doing it gracefully

Broken piano
I play no tune
You try to play
Clair de lune
On my keys
Of ivory and black
Beautiful outside
But inside they lack
They won't hit
The right note
They get caught
In my throat

Tired

Im tired, I mumble
When you ask me how I feel
You always say that, you grumble
But that's all I ever feel
I'm tired of being sad
I'm tired of getting no sleep
I'm tired of feeling bad
I'm tired of counting sheep
I'm tired of hating myself
I'm tired of hurting all the time
I'm tired of putting my emotions on the shelf
I'm tired of losing my mind
I'm tired of being tired
So that's my standard thing to say
Because I'm just tired
Every single day.
