Tongues
<><><><><><>
I am a desert
Warm and wide
Disappearing into myself

But I am also a mountain
Jagged and tall
Stumbling into the sky

I won't compare my body
To a fruit or animal...
Who would?
I'm scared I'll just end up in the pile of
"One of those"
That you always speak of.
Average
If
If freckles were lovely, and day was night,
And measles were nice and a lie warn’t a lie,
Life would be delight,—
But things couldn’t go right
For in such a sad plight
I wouldn’t be I.

If earth was heaven and now was hence,
And past was present, and false was true,
There might be some sense
But I’d be in suspense
For on such a pretense
You wouldn’t be you.

If fear was plucky, and globes were square,
And dirt was cleanly and tears were glee
Things would seem fair,—
Yet they’d all despair,
For if here was there
We wouldn’t be we.

Anon C
"You remind me of veil fire
an echo of love"
her raven hair soaked in his crimson tears
she looks up, emerald eyes shimmering like the fade
"why, why can you not love me as I do you?"

"for I am the boy who never was
I cannot give what I do not understand
don't worry you'll soon forget"
he kisses her once
"forget"
he was gone

she awoke, thinking herself dead
"this cannot be heaven, I taste blood in my mouth"
To explain, he is a spirit, while she is flesh. Based off of a character in Dragon Age.

mûre
My heart- a heavy, locked door
with a cat flap
*I've always struggled with boundaries
Breathlessly we fall into a spiral of confusion
Pieces of hope slowly waving into the darkness
So many pieces.
Your truth, your light
It's gone now.
Bare fists beating on the walls of red
But I don't feel it beating any more.
Love is lost and the ***** isn't coming back
The illness is settling in.
