Tomorrow I will need to go
To a place I'll never know
I'll go there again next week
And find some more of what I seek.

I look for silence, sharp and ringing
I look to leave the things I'm bringing
There among the nothingness
I'll stop, and drop, then quick egress

Tomorrow you will find me there
Within a space I know not where
You'll find me there again next week
In silence where we dare not speak

...

a million stars away

and i can not find you

but i feel your presence here

my thoughts dift in space

floating thier way to you

and in this connection

that is so hard to break

I can only sit and wonder

how long it will take

before you and i

will wake upon the same

holy ground

and merge this long held promise

of forgotten times

and pass this pain of longing

upon our waves of love

crashing upon eachother

a super nova

a light to span the universe

to god's heaven and back

life and the next realm

the wholness of our one

in an ifinite array of colours

birthing new starss of

hope for all the lovers

past and present

to know,

that as they look up,

they will know thier own

heaven is here waiting

our star trails laid

to guide and light

the way

to the making of

a billion more love starss

in the hearts of all

who know

true love.

I tried to
write
a poem about you
but instead
I scribbled a
big, orange-ink blob
and I figured
that made
just as much sense.

You are
as vast as the ocean

Climb up
onto my hometown shores

and let me kiss you once more.

I stare at her across the bar, between the bottles covering the worn out stained oak
varnish tarnished, wood soaked
from years
of ashed out cigarettes and spilt beers
slopped spirits from over zealous cheers
she's younger than I imagined, aged as a fine wine
her eyes locked on mine
I see the solar system, galaxies
surrounding the
pupils blacker than the abyss of the outer reaches of space
a lovely contrast to the lightness of her face
I pull up a seat beside her trying to spark a conversation
on life, nature, hopes for modern civilization or even space exploration
she says "quiet now my son, patience"
you're to focused on what you're saying
without hearing what you're conveying
her hand pressed to my heart and she said 43 beats I remember
39 when you sleep, but 84 when you're tempered
I asked her the significance
she said it's all about the difference
how my world is at peace when I am asleep
but pointless rage forces the increase
this life can go no faster
and you will know no master
so focused on breaking the mold, or shattering the plaster
when we really need the subtle hand to make the cast first
she said you see me all in your own ways
I saw her as a woman, soft eyes with a caring face
for no man knows the subtle intricacies and nuances that make living worth the fight
I met god in a bar, she walked me home in the beautiful night
we spoke of love, happiness and the pursuit  of this life...

Do you remember
The water lilies
On Henderson's pond?

Were there lilies there,
I cannot recall?
Sure, you remember,

We came with the boys
To fish and gaze. Boys?
What boys were they?

My mind's just a haze.
Our boys, young Jacob
And John, remember

Them? John and Jacob?
We had two sons? Sure,
We did, way back then,

Years before. Where are
They now? Are they here
About? No, don't you

Remember? They died
In the War. You cried
For days and for years.

Poor dears; don't recall
Them, my mind's a haze.
You must remember,

How can you forget?
Who are you, then, dear?
Have we ever met?

Do you hear the mother as she screams at her child
******* kid, just shut up and be quiet
'Cause there's expectations that they've laid on you
Didn't you know kid, you're next in queue
They're old and set in their ways, they can't change
But you are the next big thing

You're the rising generation and it's true
The weight of the world rests on you
The newest and freshest of models
Pumped out to do their newest purpose
It's up to you to change the world, son
Can you do it, stand up to the challenge come

There's no time to be yourself and conformity's not allowed
But wait, you think you've got that figured out
We'll push words and ideas and comments on your soul
Sacrifices are necessary to make the future homes
'Cause didn't you know kid, you were young but now you're old
And now you're one of us, and there's different stories to be told
