I am not meant to be
One half of a beautiful love story
I'm a wallflower,
A coward
I'm the girl trying to disappear in her seat
A **** amongst flowers in bloom
Must have been a defective seed
That made me
I'm meant to be with the lonely hearts
While you blossom in the sunlight
I wither in the dark
Pluck me from the ground
Discard my petals
He loves me
He loves me not
Until there's nothing left to count
And then you came along
You gave me all the things I needed
And for once, I wasn't alone
I'm finally growing
My roots no longer embedded in shadow
I'm not filled with so much loathing
But there is one question that keeps me up at night,
One that makes me wonder why you don't say goodbye
I am not meant to be one half of a beautiful love story,
So why am I?

I have a certain paranoia
That everyone hates me
I know it's completely irrational
But this anxiety won't stop plaguing me

I feel like a burden
For simply existing
I'm fidgety, anxious and restless
Bracelets on my wrist always twisting and untwisting

A squeamish feeling in my stomach
When I hear laughter
The whole day is now spent
Thinking about it long after

Logically I know not everyone hates me
I know the things I tell myself aren't true
But I take solace in the fact that
No one will ever hate me as much as I do

She slept all day
as the wind rolled throughout her brittle bones.
An ache began in her stomach,
and traveled to her toes.

What if the curse was real,
and everything was ruined?
For the sake of him,
she'd be okay.

The sun shined down on the skin on thousands.
The birds sang to their own song,
and everyone was happy.

My family all got along during these times,
and I can still remember the look Dad gave Mom.

I realized that the sun doesn't stay out.
Rain clouds do form,
and family doesn't last.

It's a beautiful night
and I wish it was enough
to keep my mind from racing
It's getting warmer
and I wish it was enough
to melt the ice in your veins
You've been listening to too much
Nirvana
I've been thinking too much
about what you've been doing
I used to argue with you
for chain smoking on the edge
of your bed
at 3 in the morning
If you saw me now
you'd call me a hypocrite
And I'd probably laugh it off
Like I wasn't ashamed of
the way I've been living
Last May
I covered my scars in tattoos
Cause you said it'd stop me
from making new ones
But you didn't calculate
how much flesh is on a human's body
If you saw me now
you'd ask me how
I let it get this bad
And I'd probably act like
I knew the answer
Ha
I heard you got lost on the way
to your new job
and turned around
Well
I know
I was always the first
to call you stubborn
But
If you saw me now
You'd call me a ******* hypocrite
*Cause I've been lost for so long
And I can't remember the last time
I stopped to ask for directions

the sun played beautiful sonnets on her shoulders.
every ray that hit her,
effortlessly caught my eyes.
beautiful waves crashes around her legs,
and a breathtaking smile was displayed.
thousands of shivers
crawled throughout my body,
and i knew that i had to touch her.

When I'm with you, I understand
When you hug me, I have no doubt
I know you mean it when you hold my hand

But when I'm alone and self loathing takes over
And I think about all my insecurities
When I analyze myself in the mirror
I don't understand why you love me

Roses are sprouting
The violets in bloom
The rain is falling hard
Just like I am for you
I don't know why I wrote this. It's not even April. It's not even March. This just kinda popped into my mind.

They say that love is blind
But unfortunately hate can make you blind
To a love that's right in front of you
Darling, untie the blindfold,
Open the curtains,
You're drowning so deep in your self loathing
You can't see how many people are jumping in after
Trying to save you from yourself
