Funk

Tallulah
I suppose we’ll get drunk
Maybe that’ll drag me out of this funk
Of television screens and cheap food
An oh, so unforgiving mood

Fretting about the smallest things
Of raw chicken & bankrupt kings
Avoiding sentimental ties
I’ll settle with the unkempt lies
I was in love with anatomy
the symmetry of my body
poised for flight,
the heights it would take
over parents, lovers, a keen
riding over truth and detail.
I thought growing up would be
this rising from everything
old and earthly,
not these faltering steps out the door
every day, then back again.

Miss Misery
Only you can give what you are looking for.

The answer is within. You just have to trust yourself.

Become more in tune with body and minds relationship.

Listen to your body.
Love and respect your body.
With words and acts of kindness.

Stay compassionate.
Stay calm.

Keep pushing your breathe to deep lengths.

Don't self judge.
It's a mean voice inside.

Nourish the body and the mind.
And the soul's presence will thrive.

Shake your hips from side to side.

It is amazing
How you never can really
Tell the simple truth

Elliot A
I return worn out from labour spent
To rest in our household bed
A subtle fragrance dances on the air
You have just washed your hair
I lay my head to settle down beside you
Your arms stretch out to meet my tired body
We sleep a deep soundless lover’s sleep
We rise in our nest to birds chirping
I look across, see you smiling, content at what we call our own
Our home shared
Our castle built upon each other’s trust
Acquired memories adorn the halls
Your beautiful clothes hang behind doors
Our cat meanders across the bed, meowing loudly to be fed
We laugh at how happy we are
Would we dare have any more?
A walk hand in hand watching the wind blow by
Spending evenings by a fire side
Holding you close if ever you cry
This wonderful visage of life maybe
For I must find you out there first of all.
They travel a million miles
Untiring,relentless,seeking;

From somewhere deeper
From here farther
From there higher
They come.

In whispers,they  thunder
Some kind of echoes, some music
That make Kings and Queens
Go on their knees.

They travel, these words:
'I love you!'
she lies
and lies
oh how she lies
her lies
are to be despised

she's
a professional
at the lying game
her lies
bring
her
much
shame

she has a propensity
for going
on lying sprees
they're
greater
than
any
monstrosity

she's
told
many
lies
in
her
day
but
her
lying
shall
catch
her
out
someday

she's
fooled
people
with
her
lies
but
those
folk
had
blind
eyes

others
who
have
good
sight
have
seen
her
lies
too
right

one can hear her
spouting
her
lies
from
sun down
to
sun rise
This poem is dedicated to the biggest liar who ever walked the Earth.
