I have been around the block a couple of times
So it's pretty safe to say that I have seen a lot of things in my life
But what never ceases to amaze me
Is how people seem to be so easily led astray
And how easy it is for people to accept things
Without really thinking it through
There are so many things in this world
That just seem to be blatant
That a lot of people just don't seem to see
Or at least they just don't choose to accept it
They would much rather live in ignorance
Then to wake up and see what is right in front of their faces
When it comes down to it
Most things that are a quick fix
Are almost never really worth it when you actually come down to it
Most of the things that we tell ourselves
That make us feel like somehow we are better
Like our truth
Our way of doing things
Is the right way
And that everybody else
Who doesn't follow our way is somehow wrong
We are all humans
Just trying to find our way
And no matter how confused
Our lost
Our angry some people make me
Even I have to look back
And realize
That's just how some people are
And even though it might seem like
People are confusing sometimes
I have to be able to look back and try and understand
Where they are coming from

It just doesn't always work out that way
I end up hurting myself
And unfortunately sometimes I hurt others
But sometimes I think I just have to accept
That I am not perfect
And I am going to stray from where I feel I should be
And I am going to feel lost
And I am going to feel loss
And regret
And pain
Whether it be self inflicted or not
And that I just have to try and do my best
To try and become a better person

We all have our own journeys to take

Convince us that our lives are just one big mistake
Whether it be financial, physical, emotional
Whatever seems to be standing in our way
Its very easy to take that in
And to start believing that where you are
Is just where you are supposed to be
That there isn't really anything you can do
You just have to keep going along
Not really feeling
Just allowing life to bowl over us
To feel like things are just becoming more overwhelming
Going through life feeling like you are going from one crisis to the next
Never truly being able to move forward
Getting stuck in the mud
And not being able to come up for air
But I feel even though it seems like a lot of people are going through their trials
That as long as you are moving forward
Working to become a better person
Trying to make a difference
Healing the things that you need to in your life
Making the changes that you need to make
To get to that better point in yourself
Even though things might seem hard
As long as you are trying to get to a better place
You are actively trying to help and heal yourself
As long as you are trying to help other people in the process
You are doing ok
You can move forward with pride
Knowing that you are moving
And coming more into the light

Lessons that I have learned along the way

There are some people
That are stuck in life
That don't know how
To get out of the rut of
The rat race if the door
Was sitting right in front
Of their faces and there
Was a sign saying exit here
Or if their very lives and
Existence depended on them
Rejecting the rat race and
Finding the door for
Themselves they would
Rather eat the poison
And die than live
And be free from
The race of the grind
These people I call lifers
They have a "life" plan
Or "life" goals that they
Want to follow and
They have to follow
The road to success
To make it to the top
Buying into the "life"
Or the American dream
That is toxic and deadly
To begin with and will
Ultimately lead to the
Destruction of your
Soul and your mind
And yourself trying
To keep up with the "life
You have to be willing
To let go of the material
And let go of the rat race
And find the truth behind
Life and true happiness
Is to give and to receive
Rather than trying to
Take whatever you can
From whoever you can
Just to support your "life".

Life spring up from everywhere
You can't stop the flow of life
Life is in the most unexpected
Of places if you know where
To look you will find that life
Is harder to extinguish or to
Control than we might have
Originally anticipated
Everything in the universe
Leans toward life and birth
Just as death and darkness
Can seem to overcome us
Sometimes life is still

Or to get rid of than we
Might know or anticipate
We must learn to flow
With life and let life spring
Naturally instead of trying
To recreate life artificially
Learning to trust in nature
And life instead of trying
To control or change it
To suit our whims and needs
I think we will find that if
We just allow nature to take
Its course we will be a lot

Control or manipulate it

There is  light
There is darkness
Everything exists as duality
Just as there are those who will stand up to the oppressors
There are those who are oppressors
We all have the choice to accept the darkness and the light inside of us
We can't deny one part of ourselves without denying the other
We all have the ability to do wonderful things
To be that hero for someone in need
To be that person to stand up for those
Who don't have a voice for themselves
We all have the ability to spread peace
And to spread love
And to spread light wherever we go
But we also have this darkness inside of us
These tendencies that make us wonder
If humanity is really humane at all
There are wars
There is genocide
There is hatred
And even people killed in the name of religion
It can become easy to get caught
Stuck between the darkness and the light that is inside of us
It can become like a never ending battle
That rages and wars inside of us
But we must be willing to accept both parts of ourselves
To see the light as well as the dark
To be able to truly move forward
And to truly be whole
Because if we continue to fight ourselves
Not allowing ourselves to reach the light
That tells us which way is right
And which way is wrong
But at the same time being afraid of our own shadow
And fearing any negative thoughts
Or any negative influences that might come our way
We will be trapped in ourselves
Constantly fighting between the light and the dark
And not accepting the duality in us all

Her heart to others

Showing what
It is to truly love
With each new heart
She touches with

Her unbridled joy
And grace
And wisdom
Helping all Fairies

Big or small
Find their way
Teaching them
How to soar and fly

We all masquerade
Putting on a daily show
Hiding our real selves

There is a master mind
A hidden intelligence
Behind everything and
Whether we perceive or
Not this spirit or entity is
Here for us to learn and to
Grow and to learn the ways
Of the master if we are able
To learn the masters way in
Life even though it is never
Easy it is always worth it in
The end and it is why we
Continue to struggle and
To learn and to grow and
To do it all over again as
We learn a little more
About ourselves and how
To truly live free with love
And complete openness and
Connection with everything
And everyone that you meet
And understanding that life
Is a lot less complicated than
We make it out to be and we
Can live without fear or hate
Or even anger in our hearts
And we can be truly free and
Full of joy and love if we follow
The master the master will show
Us the way to the master's heart
And promise for a better tomorrow
And a better way to live today right
Now and for eternity as you learn
Your final lesson and depart again
To return to learn the lesson all over

Every molecule
Every atom

Contains
Spirit
The breathe
Of life
That exists
It exists in everything
There in the creation
From the very beginning
There now
Permeating everything
There until the end
We just need to see it
Be aware of it
See the heart
Of everyone
And everything
To truly see
When you do
You will understand
Everything
We have been fighting about
Everything
We have been doing
To separate ourselves
Are all illusions
We are no more separate
Than our cells are from our body
We are no more separate
Than our souls are
That connect us to everything
Yet identifies us
As our own
