I don't believe that any body on this site is aware of my recent diagnosis of Huntington Disease and I wanted to get the chance to let  all of you guys know and even though it has been a while since I have written anything new I still wanted to share it with you guys. I will let you guys know more as things progress but if you have any questions to ask about it just shoot me a message in this post and I will try to answer them as honestly as possible. I have come to enjoy your poetry and I have appreciated any positive comments you have left on my poetry too so I at least wanted to give you guys the heads up about it and where I am at with it.

Air

There is air between us
That touches everything
Every part of the world
Has touched some other part of the world
At some time or other
We are all living in air
There is air that we breathe
That is in us all
That is in everything
Even the deepest depths of the ocean
To the deepest cave
Still has some air
Touching
Swirling
Caressing us all the same
It blows with force sometimes
To let us know it's there
None of us are separated
Though we are separated by space
Separated by time
There might be air in between
But all of our hearts are connected
In their own ways
And every single one of us
At some point in our lives
Has been recycled by the Earth
And by the air
And by the ground
Recycled and reused
Death and rebirth
Played over and over again
Until we all are apart of each other
And we are a part of the Earth
We can't deny it
We all live here on this Earth
Breathing the same air
Taking up the same space
Living together on this Earth we call home

Allow that calm

In my dreams I see millions of fireflies flying in the dark and illuminating the night with their heavenly light.
As I am watching this scene unfold I see hundreds of frogs on the horizon as they march slowly towards the fireflies I witness a grisly scene. I start to see right before my eyes that the fireflies are being eaten by the frogs. At first one by one but soon hundreds of fireflies have fallen to the skillful tongues of frogs until only a handful of fireflies remain and then there is only one firefly left. Even as the frogs are trying to get that one last firefly it is brighter and lighter than the rest and it is able to easily avoid the tongues of the frogs until it begins to rise above the frogs and into the sky free from the frogs at last. I feel like sometimes we can be like fireflies sharing our light but when troubles come we can easily be swallowed by the frogs of life that try to bring us down but as long as we keep our inner light strong in ourselves we can be like the last firefly left easily avoiding the frogs of life that try to bog and you will rise any trials that life has to offer.

I remember when I was a little kid

We used to eat our cadbury eggs

Would be once again hopping down that bunny trial
But somehow it always seemed funny to me
Even as a child
That somehow a bunny was supposed to lay eggs
And somehow little chickens were involved
Somehow it had something to do with jesus
And that we were supposed to be honoring him
By painting easter eggs
And opening up our easter egg baskets
Now that I am older
I don't really celebrate it as much
I am caught between the crossroads
Of childhood the fun and glee it used to hold
And the part of me that thinks about these things way too much

Flowers grow in all shapes and sizes
They are all very beautiful to behold
There are different animals on this Earth
That serve their purpose
Whether it be from the spider to the great white shark
Everything on this Earth has it's place
There are many different people on this Earth
We all have our purpose
Our place in this world
We have many different cultures
Many different religions
Many different ways to express music
Many ways to express our ideas about God
Different ways to love
Different gifts that we were all given

We are all beautiful in our own ways

For every person it is different
But we still manage to have

I think that we tend to classify people in general

To automatically make assessment off of what we see
We almost have a harder time
Dealing with the people that are ambiguous
That we can't classify right away
Than the people that seem to fit
The stereotypes
Or are preconceived ideas
About how we think
People should behave
Or even look
And if people don't
Automatically fit
Into our neat little boxes
And into a neat little
Classification
Its almost like we repel those people
Somehow it scares us to see people
That don't fit into our ideas
Our ideals of normalcy that is based
On social constructs that we have
Built ourselves
I think we need to step
Away from putting people
In small boxes
We need to start really
Looking at people
Getting past the stigmas
And the social constructs
That we put on certain people
And seeing the person for who they are
Everyone is lost in their own ways
We all could use a little help here and there
But when you automatically
Shun someone
Or push someone aside
Based on superficial constructs
You ultimately end up alienating them
But you are ultimately alienating yourself
Living in lies and false fears
That are based on false precepts in the first place
We all want to be seen as people
We all want to have our own voices
To have our own views
Without worrying about being judged

We are all human
We all deserve to be treated as such

The world is evolving
It is evolving ever quicker
Rotating wildly
As it spins through space
We are moving ever quicker
Toward a destination
That becomes more uncertain
With each passing moment
But there is power in change
And power in the mysterious
The anticipation of things to come
We continue to move down
Into a more slippery *****
We are getting to the breaking point
We are almost to the point
Where we can't bear any longer
We listen to the news
And we hear how many people
Are lost
How many people are walking
How many people are out there
Walking on their own
How many people are suffering
How the world seems to be getting
More out of control by the minute
It seems like the world is sinking
Into ever greater chaos
And we are just along for the ride
We are moving along
With this wonderful blue planet we call home
Moving along as we move through space
As we move through time
Evolving and changing
With each new second
That we swirl around
In this great big mess
But we are moving towards something
What the future holds is uncertain
But we are definitely moving toward something
I think we can all feel it
The Earth can feel it too
The birth pangs of a new beginning
A new way of thinking
A new way of interacting with ourselves
A new way of interacting with God
And even with the universe
And this wonderful blue planet that we call home
We will reach a new place of understanding
And truly find our place in the sun
Moving forward
Evolving and revolving
More in harmony with ourselves
And with everything else around us

We come in our joy
We come in our peace
We come in the middle
Of our darkest night
And our deepest turmoil
We magnify you lord
Through our spirit and
Love as we brothers
And sisters join hands
And allow your grace
And love and truth
To be magnified and
Reign upon this world
Let your holy reign take
Over and let your holy
Truth become our own
As we begin to become
More like you day by day
As we join in praise of your
Mighty glory and wonderful
Healing that you give to all
Of your children that seek
Your truth and your name
Give us strength to endure
So that we may magnify
You that much more fully
And allow our light and
Love to show to all of
The brothers and sisters
That are still stuck in the
Dark might know they
Are loved and magnified
By the same lord and spirit
That flows and magnifies
Us all if we can see it and
Feel it and truly know it
In our spirits and souls
We can begin to magnify
And strengthen everyone
Around us we become
Whole together in God

We shed our skins as we go along
As we get older
We shed older parts of ourselves
So that we can bring forth
Newer
Fresher parts of ourselves
Shedding old habits
Shedding old ways
Replacing them with more beautiful
Shining version
Killing our old selves
So that we can be reborn again

Hell is a place in our heart
Where we are farthest away from God
Where every waking moment
Is devoid of love and compassion
We create our own heaven
Just as much as we create our own hell
Our hearts tell our fate
We live inside of our hearts
And God knows the hearts of all of his children
Our souls tell our story
Our souls tell our paths
Of the body and the mind
We all can give in to that darker self
The demon in us all
That inner demon that tears away at our hearts
That keeps us from truly seeing ourselves
As God sees all of his children
That keeps us farther away from the truth
Living in lies
Living in hate
Fooling ourselves into thinking
We are more important
Then other people
Or even God himself
But God sees all of his children
He knows all of our hearts
But he also knows that
None of us are ever too far
To give up on
And we are never more
Then a couple steps away from heaven
From the cleansing and healing
When we accept ourselves for who we really are
And stop listening to the world
And start listening to our hearts
And following our souls
And following our true calling in life
We all live in heaven or hell
Inside of our minds
And inside of our hearts
Its just depends
On which way you look at it

You can be kind
And triumphant
At the same time
Sometime its the
People that speak
The most have the
Least to say and
Sometimes its the
People that don't
Speak at all that
Might have hidden
Truth and wisdom
In their eyes as they
Peer out and see
The world for what
It truly is and there
Are sometimes in
Life when we have
To understand that
Kindness and love
Is never a weakness
It is true strength
To truly feel and go
Out of your way to
Save or to help
Someone or to show
The love in your heart
To the people that need
It the most and being
Able to have that joy
That comes from
Knowing you can
Have a positive and
Healing influence on
Others and having
That empathy for
Others and truly
Feeling their pain
And wanting to
Give all you have
Too many times
We tend to see
These people as
Being weak and
A lot of times it
Is these people
That are abused
Or their help and
Kindness taken
For granted or
Taken advantage
Of but we need to
Begin to understand
That we need to start
Thinking more with
That inner kindness
And love and giving
If we are truly to
Find that inner joy
There are so many
People in this world
Who are in pain or
Who are sad or who
Need that extra hope
And faith in their
Hearts but they
Don't know where
To begin in their
Search so they find
Everything else to
Heal the pain other
Than looking at the
Heart of the issue
We all need to have
That kindness in our
Lives and feeling like
We are truly loved
And cared for and
Accepting ourselves
And others as well
As learning to give
Freely of what we
Have with each
Other so we can
Feel and receive
The healing hope
Inside of us as we
Reach out of kind
And giving ways
To the people around
Us and learn how to
Truly live in kindness
With others and truly
Living happily and
Triumphantly
