Desert Island
Isaac Dec 2022
Days long ago a crew landed upon an island
A group of unknowns bunched together
Searching for a way off
Banding together for dear life
Each a keel to each others sanity
Through the insanity
Of a stranded few

Days that seem long ago upon the island
The friendship among the crew formed strong
Each a role assigned for survival
The plate upon which the friendships dines HULLS a grand burden
Of course, his trusty BOW points out the food
While a more BULBOUS BOW protects the hunter
Making sure the intended meal does not sink the crew
With such hard work, the three can grow mad
In which the 4th must ANCHOR them with his entertainment
And the captain PROPELLING the vessel of friendship and work
Makes sure all are happy and prosperous upon the island

Days not long ago I landed upon the island
Without food or water I was sheltered
The hulling man was first to help
Followed by the two bows
They seemed to show interest
They seemed to want to help me
While I had no clue two others inhabited the island
That they even mattered on the island

What I was surprised to find out was the huller was not leader
Or at least assigned such a position
For before the captain arrived, I was treated to dessert
Feeling as if he deserted me, he came to me
Apologetically, the captain offered his own
A dessert forged from a deserted man on a deserted island
It’s irony was more exquisite than the actual taste
The ‘Anchor’ of the team also arrived
Excited to entertain me, we 5 watched

A Mid-day not long ago five people sat upon a desert island
Watching a man entertain us
The captain was dying of hysteria
The other three conversed among each other
There I sat, alone
The harsh waves of the man’s dance bored me
But the captain’s intensity of passion pained me
As if my apathetic nature was wrong
But the calmed waves were far too peaceful
And if I walked among them I would splash around
Creating a mess and therefore being forced onto land
But I hated the land
The ocean was beckoning me to join
Or rather, I was forced off the sand
The ocean, in reality, could care less about me
My existence meant nothing
Apathy reigned supreme
Even if the only rule to swim, was to care

A single day so recently I sat alone upon a desert island
The friendship crew remained five with a remainder of 1
Sometimes six for feast, never more for sympathy
Worse, it wasn’t really 5 and a 1
Rather, a 2 + 3 and a 1
The hulling man and his bows were a group
While the captain and anchor seemed in love
Only interacting when feasting
Only caring when needed
The vessel of friendship was forged from circumstance
Where the five banded together to make the ship
But now the circumstances changed
And there is no need to make new friends

Today I sat distanced upon a desert island
Unable to pick a side
Of the foundation of the island
Or the entertainment
For both knew of my existence
And me of theirs
But no need to converse
No need to interact
My circumstance tells me to talk
To be the grain of sand that lays with the others
But their circumstance tells them otherwise
To remain with their grains
Why talk with another grain?
Why be seen with another grain?
If you’ve already known one

And so all six of us remain on the island
Only one tormented by apathy
For it is not my right to talk to my deserters
For they have to allow me to speak
And they have no reason to give me a voice
After all, there are millions of grains on the island
Why get to know a new one?
When you can stay with one you’ve known your whole life

Why no sunshine?

                     Why no sunshine?

Why do i hear despair?
Why do i hear the world will never be fair?
Why do i hear like life *****?
Why do i hear there is no luck?
Why no funtimes?

Why no sunshine
Is poetry about sadness
Expressed to it’s fullest
Is poetry for sad stories

And only wrote happy for comics
Is poetry expressing all feeling
But rarely using happiness
Is poetry for emo’s or goths
Expressing all sadness

Is poetry for facts that sound for opinions
And opinions that sound for facts
Is poetry giving news in an entertaining way
But if you laugh you are shamed
Am i aloud to express happily?

Or sadily and depressing
Am i aloud to express in all ways?
Or one, which will be the same
I want to be positive
But i'm neutral

Tell me something sad
Don't expect a tear
Tell me something happy
Don't expect a smile
Can a bring sunshine to this place

Or am i shushed and shamed
Can i be that small sunshine
Or is it despair all of the time?
Did i do poetry for no reason
Or did i hope this poem changed minds?

If it works i can be sad sometimes
But when it’s needed
And rarely joke in poetry
Or are jokes too much
The only poems that i can relate to are the ones from comics

But that's as much relatability of a dinosaur and bird
I don’t need to make laughs or smiles
Im as neutral as a public school teacher
But if controversy sparks it all changes
Controversy continuously crumbles society

I feel controversy dances and eats
Eats all of your life
Like racism it never leaves
It can’t be stopped

And it is hard to help against it
Is this it?
Is this why there is no sunshine
Because it poetry to spread controversy
And if you joke around with it

It’s more of a joke
And then you choke
On your words
Cant breath then you
SNAP and do a homicide

Then it's to late so inside you do a suicide
But the only hope you have a God
So you wait for a free homicide
But you cool down, but it happens
Then while you sit there with blood
And you don’t believe in your god
Then you die a sad life
Those words shall never live

Is that why there is no sunshine
I continue to think of ways to implement something funny
But i can't because maybe dark humor is banned from poetry
Maybe one day humor and even if its dark may bring sunshine...

In Heaven's Way
Isaac Dec 2022
You stand here before God
Waiting to enter the pearly gates
For it is you God has been waiting for
The prophecy fulfilled by your presence
Succumbing to the ancient Egyptian tombs
For it is they who predicted this future

One day an organism of human descent enters the halls
Of Pearly gates and vast sky walls
For it is when all turns south
God proclaims from mouth
“You are the chosen, befit for heaven”
“For it is you she was built in age of seven”
“Seven cycles of the universe's creation”
“Upon which you would be born upon a nation”
“And claim the skies of heaven yours”
“And all of her inhabitants, thrown out the door”

Now you are presented with an ultimatum
Do you upset the Egyptians and allow all to stay?
Or fulfill your destiny, and allow your ego to shine bright?
Mummified in fear you don’t respond
Is it right to deny the ones who predicted your fate?
The ones who connect with God most
Or the ones you shove out of heaven?
Ones who possibly deserve it more than you

Now, it seems, you have annoyed God
You should make up your mind before fury enters
Before a tomb becomes your new destiny
So you answer

“I rest my fate, in fate”
“And all her predictions shall come true”
“For it is destiny for all others to suffer”
“For all others, to be beneath me”

Acceptence
Isaac Oct 2018
Ha, isn’t it funny?
We all say we accept everyone, we don’t.
That’s what everyone one says about our country,
However everyone is guilty, and few people know.

Your either against or not.
Like if your homophobic or gay.
Of course before you shame me give it a second thought.
Doesn’t matter what you say it’s always yay or nay.

There are different levels of acceptance.
Maybe we do accept, however not in our minds.
For instance there is a group that makes you ******
But you accept them, showing you care, even if there just lies.

The only time this is not shown is when you grant pity
Like on a family member or a close friend.
You can always show to be gritty
But a small part of just doesn’t want to offend.

Soooo sorry to offend you, finding this racist, homophobic, sexist whatever.
You can think your accepting people because you happen to be different but let me tell you.
No one accepts everyone, whether its for right or wrong. Whether its due to an endeavor
Or none at all. We can’t lie you hate someone for a belief and you know it, too.

Lets not forget the people who get shunned for pursuing their beliefs that the media hates.
They attack the races, orientations and gender, i mean i hate the majority of these people.
Like i said you're either against these people are not, so you belief in the good that is greater.
Well news flash, acceptance is about the greater good or correctness, we aren’t medieval.

Acceptance is about pity and pretend
Because they’ll accept for a reason
Maybe to feel good, or to gain something still they need to comprehend.
Comprehend that acceptance is a truthful lie, it exist to at least look decent.
don't take this the wrong way im not legally old enought to have twitter
