chels
Oh
Maybe if I repeat the same words
Over and over again
I won’t be so afraid to stick my feet over the side of my bed

I don’t know how else to beg you to leave my mind as quickly as you came back to it
So I figure you’re just supposed to stay there

I can't help but fall in love
With the certainty in your hands
I can feel you in my veins
and
I just want to know if we’re losing hope again or if we’re just hoping that we are

Epiphany

know that, for me, this is unusual;
to want something with every fiber of my being.
. . .the way I want you.
and, it seems, as if by some brilliant and beautiful epiphany,
I know.
in this moment, while my senses are overtaken by
tastes,
touches,
and smells strictly of you, I am more than convinced.
it has always been you and it will only ever continue to be you.
of this, i am completely sure and I can say it all with certitude.
nothing and no one will shake my mindset.
Sleeping
In colour and light
I dream of wings
And speaking with God
Until daybreak

Waking
In a different landscape
A burning pain
Between my shoulders
And blood dripping
Trails
Along my spine

I rise
This is not my time
To leave
Where do good ideas come from?
They shrivel away from the hypnotizing light of a virtual socialite
They grow toward the sun out above the clouds
Ever-present from birth to death,
They're the latest permutations of the same explosion that started that
Fusion core up there running
Running without stopping for a billion years
Fueling the experiments of life that consciousness spontaneously manifested
Across the planets
Each a test of a different vibrational frequency
Incompatible with one another but coexistent
Mercury's barren silver mines
And the Venusian valleys
And the regal red sands of Mars
And Jupiter's infinite wisdom and so forth to the edge of the Oort Cloud
And the green and blue ecology of earth, the waterworld
Where the entire drama we've seen so far has been carried out
The audience has grown in appetite
And doesn't always see that it too is the performance
But the unwilling blindness is all part of the sublime suspense of this subcosmic game
The planetary curiosity,
Can we make it? Would it matter?
We'll never truly die when we forget time

I want to see what the birds see
dancing above in flocks
beautifully moving together,
each one doing their part
(I wonder if they know they're creating art)
I wonder if they realize
that some human is looking upon them in awe
Standing tall,
making sure not to miss any of it all

I want to see what the birds see
flying above my head
always having a birds eye view
seeing things anew
they see sights I've never even dreamed of
couldn't grasp the perspective
looking down on everything
lives changed

I want to see what the birds see
their wings flapping gracefully
never losing touch with the sky
the clouds are their friends
the trees their humble homes
at liberty to wander and roam
the birds are living free
the birds are living as we should be
Subliminal chaos
Refusal to stray from paradox
Feeling as though I need soul cleansing detox
From all the toxicity surroundings us
Is it wrong to think it may be following us?
it looks like
a summer's day, feels like a winter's
night, tastes like a spring's song,
sweet honey tripping from the tentacles of a
lover's dripping
hair.
i'm trying something a new.  a bit softer. -unfinished-
