Aly
I have seen your smile hundreds of times,
Somehow I always know how to make you laugh.
You have seen my smile also,
But have you seen the real me?

The one whose eyes are sunken in her head
her brain is foggy,
and her skin is old and brittle.

The one that is in a hole that she has climbed many times,
Only to slip back in again.

You think you know her,
but you don't.
And you probably never will.

But if you do get to know her,
be gentle.
her heart is fragile,
and she cannot think straight.

If you get to know her,
Hold on tight,
So you she doesn't slip away.

Iska
to me you are a star of gold
a glowing asterisk
I wish I could hold
though you seem so far away
I truly wish we could meet some day
but alas we shall only meet
through our words,
spilling and falling across this page.
we are the unseen family
bound by art
which is better
because we dwell in the heart

grace snoddy
there are two sides of you.
youdisplay
dilated eyes full of
intense admiration.
soft skin that glows like
a stars collision.
but they do not know
you cover up your blemishes.
your lips curve upwards;
red,
like the blood you bleed with.

there are two sides of you.
youhideaway
a wary heart broken like
the bonds you dream of.
a head full of pain dominated by
the ones you needed.
your sore and useless limbs;
you know you let them in.
an empty mind full of dead ends;
you know you let them win.
