I just sit
Micheal Wolf Dec 2012
You reach the stage in life where you sit.
You just sit, and wonder.
You wonder how the hell you got there.
Where or which turn you took was the wrong or right.
If indeed any where?
Who is to say what's right what's wrong.
Indeed who wrote the rules?
An immaculate fool.
I can't change my yesterday's or arrange my tomorrow's.
I simply sit on the ride you call life and follow its turns.
Some like a pleasure ride some like the scariest at a theme park.
You don't know which it will be till the day starts.
Or if you will just sit till it's days end.

Wave goodbye to inhibition and find the dance floor
A few more and shes ready, the table yeah its next
Dancing like Coyote uglys, the tables now a stage
Not to be out done her friends are dancing to
Its party time in Oxton, the girls have had a few

Thank heaven she remembered to wear her underwear!!

Broken glass is plentiful in this world.
Metaphorical or not it surrounds
Like a trail of broken hearts all glass all smashed
Feet bleed constantly
Those who's break
For those who follow
Others wear shoes, that numbs the pain, yet dulls the senses.
Life without feeling
The feeling be it pain is a remimder
The glass a memory
The hurt a lesson learnt

Lust nor Love
Micheal Wolf Apr 2015
Flames burn where there is no fire, when one loves but lacks desire.
The racing hearts that fire the blood, only to make one night of lust.
When fingers twisted and palms held tight.
When sighs are murmured and souls ignite.
When shouts of pleasure fill a room, Is it love or lusts soulful tune.
When abscent from you do you feel your heart race?
Your heart goes faster as you see their face.
A photograph of one not there.
Does that define how much you care?
When no word from them is spoken, when silence is all you have.
Is that when its over, if it ever began.
So who you think of reading this, is that the face you long to kiss.
Is that the soul that draws to you, becons, calls, oh please be true.
If there again when you awake, that picture in your mind again.
Then did you tell them?
Do they know?
Another day, lost alone.
So seize the day the cold cliche that's yelled as men go into battle
Is no longer what our souls need, this fights more nocturnal.
Embrace the night and hold her tight, If only in your dreams.
For when you wake the daylight brings the dawn of many things.

Void
Micheal Wolf Mar 2013
When a lover leaves they tear away a piece of you as they walk away
They leave a wound with jagged edges where love once filled the space
The edges ragged torn and sore never heal as before
That in turn shrinks and wains until a void remains
It's irregular shape and depth unknown is unique to each one
It heals in time and the pain subsides just the void left behind
The problem comes when you try to fill it, as anothers love won't fit into it
It's un mapped un charted not off the shelf, it can't be filled by just anyone.
So start your quest or wait and see if someone's there to fit complete

Vital signs
Micheal Wolf May 2013
Confirmation of what I thought
Although I breath I'm just like Mort
Walk the earth day after day
A swinging brick keeps my pace
I don't blame others for my decent
I live in Dantes circled hell
I've lost count of which circle I'm in
No longer trying to reason it
The minutes hrs days the weeks
None belong in truth to me
We squeeze as much as we possibly can
Then the clock stops, goodbye my friends
So check and measure those vital signs
Just don't come and ask to ever check mine
Zombies are not the living dead
It's those who live within their heads
A lunchtime splurge having seen an article on injecting blood with oxygen to breath without breathing.

No passport, no sunscreen
No travel plug or euros
No flipflops no shorts, just pockets of ammo
No loungers for Germans to throw there towels on
Just constant explosions and lead from their guns
One minute standing, next second gone..

This is what father spoke of the Somme
We came in our thousands and no package trip
We fell face first the moment we hit
Get off the beach the voices screamed!
Running head on into bullets and bombs
Bodies laid strewn dead on the wire.

Now I return, will be my last time
You just see sand and a holiday town
I see the ghosts of the friends I once knew
Their faces are clear the screams are as well
Remember them please, I beg don't forget
For they gave their all to stand here today.

The universe is a magical place
Full of wonders and stars out in space
Closer to home there are species a many
Mankind is only one of them
We invented many many things
From baseball bats to film that clings
Spades and boots such wonderful things
There's  gaffer tape to fix the wrongs
And zip ties to keep things snug
But mankind has birthed a few total neds
Who need the baseball bat around the head!
The zip ties to keep them still
The cling film to hold the spills
All nicely wrapped in gaffer tape
We don't want to leave any DNA
Then it's boots on, and hello *****!
Another perfect shallow grave
All this allas is just for fun cos
lucky for you we have some laws
Because today I almost dug your hole
Then bury another of mankinds mistakes
And spend tomorrow with a smiley face.

The Christians came
Our God sent us!
Were on a crusade just killing stuff
If you don't have a Christian cross
You will have to have your head cut off

The Pope you see he ruled the world
So he thought till Jerusalem.
The Kingdom of Heaven here upon earth
Soaked in blood where Muslims fell
A holy war they said it was
****** kids so they don't grow up

All things cycle all things change
It was Allah's time once again
Saracens, butchers barbarians too
The names they gave Saladins troops

Though when the city fell to him
He gave passage to all to leave in peace
He afforded a gift no Christian did
Love and life to practice your faith

If history teaches one good thing
The hearts of men are everything
All a soul can ever be
Is deep inside you and me

The crusaders brought a holy war
To a peaceful state for a bigoted cause
A Pope who wanted lands and wealth
Nothing more nothing less

Micheal Wolf Jan 2013
It's not a person or what she sees that makes a twitch between her knees.
A gentle rub a closet pressure can make her lips rub together
Once she's off a little moist then a thought is uppermost
Where oh where today can mystery man get me laid
In the park or on the stairs
With or without my underwear
From behind to start or end
Imagination is her friend
Of to the loo she must pop
To finish off her sacred spot.
Returns to desk with inner warmth as shes just strumed and now is calm.
Inspired by a rather off the wall conversation I suspect I should A. Not have listened to and B. Probably not written about. If it offends its not intentional. Just an observation

Be they flowers, black or hello kitty
They turn to her when the weather's ******

Now her day it flies when the weathers crap
But in her evenings, something lacks..
She seeks a man with a wooly face
To hold her hand and walk in the rain
Under her umbrella with that special fella x

She lay motionles devoid of all feeling for others, an emptiness consumed her. A time passed a time to come. It wasn't always so, oh no there had been great turbulent moments of passion, but like seasons now past, gone. For he was the steer, her light, her spirit and now he lay with another. Their meeting evoked a state of unison neither could imagine and yet it ended as did their marriages, blown apart by it's energy and light. Now, dust settled, there is no other, no substitute. Oh lovers taken but to quell the fire. For he is still there. Distant, though not far. They circle like planets and pass in close proximity,  never touching the force pulls them together. They will one day orbit each other again or simply collide and be blown to oblivion.

Mankind or Godkind,
Micheal Wolf Sep 2013
I was born an agnostic, though I knew not what one was
As a child I was taught religion, though I knew not of gods
I was indoctrinated to believe in god, but there was no evidence too be seen
As I teenager I was taught science, the proof was all around me
I began to question god, and I began to embrace atheism
I was told I was a bad person, I had no morals or faith
Yet my faith in mankind lay in all creeds not just yours
As an adult I had learnt enough to know, to know I was an agnostic
Those who believed in god believed themselves good and for that, would be rewarded in an afterlife
Those who disbelieved in god, believed in this life and practiced good
Much has been done, good and bad under the banners, in  the name of god and good
I'd rather see things done in the name of mankind
For we are mankind not godkind
We never were

Trying to live a dream is like lying asleep all day.
Believing things will just go away,
Only Invites them to stay.
Often not knowing what to do.
Or why where or when
Its the fundamental torture that haunts us every day.
Is the grass greener ? Or just another lawn.
You still end up mowing it, if you move across..
So look at what you have!  Look at all it's good.
Talk and try to reason, so your not misunderstood.

We are all a work in progress.
For some never completed.
For others prefabricated to make do.
If I saw you today would you know me tomorrow?
Or pass me by in the street?
Indignant to my existence
We are all just pieces in another's self build.
Remnants of what's been demolished before.
So when you see someone incomplete are you the missing block?
Or the reason they had to rebuild.
Prefabricated
layers of dreams held together by little, often nothing.
The dreams that formed reality are nothing of substance only the rivets of our hearts.

So what now can I expect from life, I've married divorced and been a wife!
I've ridden, fallen and paid the price and lived my bucket list like fire
My kids so far my greatest work, tried politics but full of nerds.
The parallel is simple enough they drop their stuff I pick it up.
So the world sidewalks into the abys, wear factor 50 to help with it
As carbon gas heartache earth and we all go grey and loose our worth
I opted out and moved to Wales my little family I shall save
Just one thing left I need to do ...
Find a hunk to chop some wood
One who isn't thick upstairs and makes my winter's warm as well
