Ever wake and realize it's gone
Not just gone I mean GONE
You have drifted on like a train wreck
Looking for a place to happen
A culmination of ostrich behaviour
A summary of ignoring signs
The last post plays in the distance
The day you realize you can't do this
Not just another day, not another week
Not at all
You play over how to plan the escape in your mind
You can't call it suicide, but they will
You find you stare at trees "bit of rope" job done
Or walk barefoot on the shore, further out all the time
The third rail is looking good !
Tablets and *****, ***** and razor, or all three
What makes it worse is the "Oh we wish we knew"
The oh his poor wife oh the children
Why do you think he did it!

The Bath was the option chosen
I never knew why he did it
I just cleaned up afterwards
Reassembled his torso
Bagged his belongings
I never knew why, never will
The note was a ramble to me
I guess a last eruption of emotion
I think I've had days as bad
Where sadness drowns you
Fear chases you
Emptiness overpowers logic
But here I am and he is gone
Who was the bravest
He had his great escape

Eventide
Micheal Wolf Mar 2013
The noise of the day that clattered, now like a symphonic cachophony has wained
The many tasks to do, people to communicate with over
So I didn't get to all, but some, others I couldn't
But good was done
The application of logic as a blunt, wholesome instrument
Shattering the petty churlish moves of a fool
Like a game of chess with glass pieces
Seeing the opponents flaws in their transparency
Knowing, pre empting their next move
From a distance not knowing the king had fallen
Checkmate, but if you need another lesson
I'll gladly oblige, chess or something more your style
Tidley winks maybe??

A little twist a squirt of oil
A flick of the wrist the tumbler rolls
A petty thing to change the lock
Shows you really are a ****
I Imagine the look upon your face
As the smug smile is worn away
Yeah she's been and got her stuff
Your an amateur her friends are not
You came close but no cigar
So I've left you one as a souvenir
So big boy who hits on girls
Your MMA mates don't know that yet
I'd hide from them when it hits the press
Before they make your face a mess

morning thoughts
Micheal Wolf Mar 2013
My head hit the pillow and I was gone
The days caught up on me
My mind had no time to dream I just slept
I awoke refreshed yet laboured
I wish I could edit the weekend
Just keep the good parts
But did the bad parts make the good parts good?
Is the measure of good benchmarked by it?
A long  week ahead. What will life bring?
Less bad I beg as I've seen enough for this life
Micheal Wolf Mar 2013
Cheap shot to hit a girl
Does it turn you on?
You worthless ****
Do you get off on seeing her bleed
Try hitting a man, try me!
Imagine it you cowardly *****
As I break your ribs like you did hers
You had the best a true princess
Now your nothing a worthless ****
Dedicated to a coward a worthless human being. A waste of flesh. An ego driven mummy boy. Yeah hell right I'm angry

My weekend
Micheal Wolf Mar 2013
A weekend of extremes, where a lover became a demon
A car became a transformer and a lifeboat
A child made a new friend, a friend found a new voice
Two fathers took comfort knowing their daughter's safe
A new begining  for one woman yet an adventure for a little girl
Now a bath a cup of Earl grey tea and Edward Elgars chello plays on the radio
It had no plan no agenda yet I feel strangely satisfied
Some people can do that to you
And yet it's only 7 pm so 5 hrs to go
And lest we forget the apple crumble!!!

Flames
Micheal Wolf Mar 2013
Staring at the fire with the thoughts of you
They grow stronger the more I do
Looking deeper into the flames I see your face
there again
The flames flicker as the dawn draws closer
But your nowhere now, your not here.
The fire burns and the flames die down
Awake all night and now I'm tiered
Outside the snow falls thick and deep
For now I must sleep
Afternoon and Awoke the fire burns bright and warm
Can't see her face the image gone
The smell of breakfast fills the room as now she's home
Come to bed my lover your night shift done
Requires music

If today ends and tomorrow starts
Yesterday will be a memory of today
So if tomorrow and today are thus the same
They all become yesterday
Then is tomorrow today?
Or is yesterday tomorrow ?
So live for today
Dream of tomorrow
Enjoy yesterday's memories
But most importantly
Is the bar open?

If you are lucky
Micheal Wolf Mar 2013
You are born empty
All you have is the Jane or John
The DNA you parents gave you
What is next?
Fed and watered if your lucky
Or starving if you country's in poverty
You from them absorb their traits
Hugs and kisses or cold emotion
Then wrapped up well September comes
A playground full of crying mum's
Now you fate is in their hands
If lucky you get a creative one
Nurture expression, encourage you more
Let you grow and not conform
Curricula the pundits say education of today
Well my **** !! It's not and teachers rebel
Creativity must flourish as well
So pencil crayons chalk or paint
The child must express without constraint
Heed my words or pay the price
Be left with sheep no shepherds in sight

Pay and Display
Micheal Wolf Mar 2013
It an endangered beast the artist
For many have no place, no use
No time for words, sculpture or paint
The hurry up life of money, work, money, work
Then it stops, they have it all, nothing
Only then they see its value
To pay and display for others to see
Its late, to late by then
The artist is gone
Extinct
No longer to roam freely in the minds of the young

He hides behind a smile
Micheal Wolf Mar 2013
All smiles, it hides his evil
Oh he's everyones friend
Warm with hugs
Used to invade your space
Sit on my knee
I'd rather die now
His hands are vile
I imagine killing him daily
Watching the life drain
My hands upon his throat
I will wait, i'm a child
I have not the power or the voice
He preys upon that
Scared to open the bathroom door
He lurks outside
He's just popped up to see if you're alright
A knee as hard as I can
Straight, fearful into his groin
His glasses hit the floor
He's not in control
PUSH NOW!
Downstairs he rolls
Every step vengeful
Bang after bang
Die you ******* leave us alone
He lies motionless blood from his head
His eyes open, oh god he's not dead
His wife runs out, tends to his head
He says he has fallen, the truth is'nt said
College years later was like being born again
Not having to see him, re living the pain
Then came the news, I had to go see
The reaper had come and the cancer was deep
I relished the days watching him die
As though in macabre it gave me my life
Once dead and burned others they spoke
He was a monster his wife did'nt know
He stopped touching others after "his fall"
I found at his funeral i'd ruptured his ball
I'm lost in a world I can never call home
For part of my childhood was stolen and gone

Does it taste any different?
What of the smell?

She just needed a few drinks more
Wave goodbye to inhibition and find the dance floor
A few more and shes ready, the table yeah its next
Dancing like Coyote uglys, the tables now a stage
Not to be out done her friends are dancing to
Its party time in Oxton, the girls have had a few
Her legs look rather splendid kicking in the air
Thank heaven she remembered to wear her underwear!!

Or find another reason
To call up to her house?
Do you ask others what she's doing?
I mean is there really someone else?

The miss language of love
Micheal Wolf Feb 2013
Oh tell me please what are its words
Is it a lexicon all its own
A hidden text for a dusty professor
Or is it in the letters of Antoinette

The language of love is none of them
A look, a glance and so it begins
A brush of skin a glimpse of thigh
Many oh many triggers catch the eye

For her it could be the way he smiles
Or how he treats others in her sight
His scent could be the catalyst
That elevate him on her list

Flowers, texts and night calls
comunication seats it all
You make the bond and all is well
But wait! now it goes to hell

For familiarity  breeds content
It also makes a lover forget
Forget to hug her every night
Or kiss her neck when out of sight

The things we used to do each day
Seem slowly now to fade away
You wake one day and wonder who
Is this man who lives with you

Now you see with different eyes
Is she the one that once was mine
One or other starts to stray
Loves language lost
No words to say

Phoenician to  Aramaic 950 BC the start of modern writting for others to see
Then Hebrew to  Moabite then Phrygian as well around 800 BC
The written word was now afoot, oh Ammonite as well

Then a split as often comes between one arab and another
Old North Arabian and Old South Arabian argue with each other
So moving west Etruscan came at 700 BC
Then Umbrian and North Picene you heard of them today?

As Lepontic and Tartessian tried to talk to others
Now we start to get a grip and influence the modern
From Lydian to Carian,  Thracian to Venetic
All around the 6th century BC people started jotting

Old Persian came and went Latins still around
Then South Picene and Messapian to Gaulish
Language now ruled the world and all the ways we wrote it

Mixe–Zoque some say isnt really true
But Oscan and Iberian followed on through
So Meroitic,  Faliscan at 300 BC came next
Then Volscian and Middle Indo-Aryan or Prakrit the Ashoka calls it
Then one thats still around Tamil you might know it

Christianity was on its way as Galatian was used
Pahlavi and Celtiberian al cald pre antiquity
Lets move on till after Christ and language moves full on

Bactrian and Proto-Norse in northen europe common
Cham and Mayan, Gothic and Ge'ez and accepted Arabic
Christs been dead 300 yrs and language starts to flourish

Primitive Irish now exists and an odd one called Ekoi
Try to remember though its still only the 4th century

Georgian now is used in a  church in Bethlehem
A bible is written  in Armenian
Kannada in Halmidi
West Germanic to that becomes  Old High German
English now for the first time starts to rear its head

Old English to Korean  Tocharian to  Old Irish
In parts of southern England they even speak Cornish
Centuries before Pol *** there is now Cambodian
Others speaking Udi, Telugu and Tibetan
Now language is getting modern

Old Malay in the far east to Welsh in my back yard
It wasnt long before the world was writting many forms
Mandarin and English now are common place
A miriad of people and language in their states

So venture forth to foreign lands and visit as a guest
Take a pen and paper to help you on your quest
If you can cross your legs or draw a beer you really cant go wrong
Remember you dont speak their tongue its you not them thats dumb!!!

The answer? To the message
Micheal Wolf Feb 2013
The Answer?
Karman. Blessings and peace of your god be upon you
Wa 'alaykum s-salamu  wa l-lahi wa barakatuh
I have a gifted copy of The Glorious Our'an"  Given to me by a Somalia imam from the local Mosque. A great guy. It is a true not perceptive translation  by Abdul Majid Daryabadi you may know the text. The Islamic Foundation Sponsored and published it. I have read it and it's commentary. So that I guess removes the misguided presumption of a lack of knowledge or respect for your faith. You don't have to follow a faith to appreciate it. He has also done a rather good commentary on the King James version of the bible. From an Islamic view that may be a good read for the future. As to the Bible I was born to a Strict Irish catholic family attended bible and catechism classes. My aunt is a Missionary Nun and another close friend a Priest. I have also read Hindu and other eastern texts the Marabahatra is a fascinating read.
Theology is something of a hobby. I'm currently reading the book of Mormon it's creation somewhat similar to the Quran prophets being spoken to by god etc. I won't give my academic qualifications suffice to say 11 years at universitys and 3 colleges kept me busy. I now work in the criminal justice system in a diverse multi cultural area. So it is your God Allah is your true religion not mine nor is Christianity. It would be hypocritical to revere a god I don't hold faith to.
None the less I respect and appreciate and see parallels. For instance Isaiah 3: 16-18 is a similar contrast to the oppression to women's chosen sexuality as shown by Sarah .sl-Nur  : 31 in your holy book.
I read it I appreciate it yet find it moral distasteful in its application in both the Quran and Bible.
I'd ask at this point have you read other texts Kamran?  Or does your sect of Islam prohibit it? You see knowledge isn't power it is enlightenment.  I think some Zealots both Muslim and Christian are more frightened of girl with a pen and an education, than a kid with a gun. I digress.
As to spelling the Quran has three variants in the accepted English / ISO Latin format. Primarily from the 5th century, although Anglo Saxo influence was stamped out by monks by the 7th. This lead to interpretation not translation. Later translations from Arabic texts to English suffer incompatibility as oddly does Mandarin Chinese which is woefully difficult to translate to from Arabic. It is a little late now but many language scholars believe English suffers having 12 letters that didn't make the grade as it where. OU  combined being one of them. That following Q gives a more fluid pronouncing of the Word Qouran.  Yet it is accepted as Quran and it's accents and flections sadly missed by the western key board. Then we have Koran which again tries to help the western voice pronounce it. This the third most common spelling is seated in the  Germanic influences of futhark gothic Romo Greek Latin dare I say modern languages. The texts of the old testament suffer the same fate. These translated from Sifrei Torah an ancient Hebrew bastardised descendant of aramaic a distant relative of ancient Arabic languages.

So Karman it wasn't spelt deliberately to offend you. Having to explain context to every word presented to you, clearly shows you can write in English and I presume I hope given your presented intellect other languages. Yet it is easy to interpret a single word wrongly and not with ignorance or malice. You also have a great understanding of your faith a true believer yet a tunnel vision as to others and acceptance not belief of their faith.
Buddha said ( if you accept his existence, not his teachings etc)  "WE ARE SHAPED BY OUR THOUGHTS; WE BECOME WHAT WE THINK"
So not accepting others is allowing the mind to be a thief of knowledge and an incarnate evil.
****** was a Christian. Are all Christians Jew murderers, homosexual and Islam persecutors.
Clearly not some are as my friend I believe you are enlightened and saw a satirical response as an insult to your God and looked deeper for a meaning of aggression that clearly isn't there.
Your Holy  Quran is holy to a follower.

A lovely Islamic quote on faith and follower is

"There is a difference between knowledge and faith. Satan had knowledge Satan knew Allah, better than you or I but Satan didn't have faith"

As-salam alaykum

In Darkness
Micheal Wolf Feb 2013
In darkness we hear what is not there
As children we imagine creatures under the bed
In darkness we fear the worst is so close
They hide in the wardrobe or outside the door
In darkness they creep and they sneak and they plot
Waiting to pounce when your eyes close for sure
In darkness theres see stars if we squidge our eyes tight
Millions and millions of tiny bright lights
In darkness we lie with a lover in bed
Or crunch up a pillow and squeeze that instead
In darkness a poor candidate stands
Only wanting light to see whats around
In darkness a soldier he waits for the dawn
He prays to his god he can soon go home
In darkness our fears control all our thoughts
In light most of them are not there at all
In darkness ill slip from this place we call life
I hope after darkness there is only light

Is driving me insane
Turn it down again and again!
Pushing the envelope
As all kids do
Up goes the volume
Just to Annoy you
But wait!! Crisis

She cant find the charger
Oh where can it be

Dont call me Flower!!!
Micheal Wolf Feb 2013
Flower!
Petal or other such crap
Don't call me that
Unless you want the real thing
Stuck up your ***
Your term of endearment means nothing
I have a name my parents gave me
Respect me you oaf or leave me alone
A little ditty

A naughty thought
Micheal Wolf Feb 2013
A twitch
A tingle
A feeling in the water
A ladies moment
A naughty emotion
A thrill of a thought
A thrill at the thought
A wistful proclavity
A moment of disorder
A body confused
A blip in the day
A welcome diversion
A moment to saver

Circumstance the judge has said
Is all the cops have brought to bare
Facts that are clouded at best
From an officer in stuk himself
He's sat today and make a decision
If he can be freed until his trial
Yes or no the world awaits
It wont bring her back today

I met a model called Jilly
Micheal Wolf Feb 2013
She thinks it's smart
She laughs out loud
Oh do take notice
I'm here you know
Here for what?
To simply be seen
Princess of nothing
Queen of despair
You're plastic and false
Alone in your world
You have to laugh loudly
Just to be heard
No cameras no flashes
The blonde hides the grey
Dont teach these young girls
To follow your way
Oh fashion has formed you
Fashioned as what?
A cold lost pretender
Of an age now gone

Kamran Javed I'll answer in public
I'm not arguing with you.
As you seem to take issue in all we do
Your a Muslim I get it and respect you for that
So get off my back because I'm not!
In not Muslim or Christian nor infidel
I'm human and loving and reasoned as well
So I didn't put "Holy" before your Quoran
Or glorious or blessed and your not happy with that
So now I'll explain and then say no more
Take your crusade to another's door
The term "Holy" only proceeds a text if you follow..
I've read it and don't I don't worship Allah
To a Christian the bible is "Holy" To you it is a book .
To a Muslim the the Quoran is "Holy" to a Christian a book.
I don't follow either that is my choice
So don't try to impose your religious ideology on me
Or others that comment FREE SPEECH IS FREE
Remember the site is for poetry too
Not to convert to Islam with you
Learn some tolerance for others who write
You decided to post here, your choice alright
If the world's out to get you ask yourself why?
You like to take issue with all that we write
I and others agree and praise what you say
You argue and don't take it that way
It isn't personal don't make it so
This site is for poems not war or crusade
So blessed by Allah and your holy book
I respect your religion and your way of life
If you don't like mine I don't give a flying spaghetti monster
Rebuked for not putting Holy before Quoran. It isn't holy to me neither is the New York Times and ive read both and the bible. I've also spent time in the middle east and it's culture. I didn't try to convert anyone to the flying spaghetti monster either.   Live and let live

I didn't know her
In the coming hours and days I will
I will know of her travels her dreams
Her passions, her brother her, sisters
Her mother, her father and her best friend
Her boss her colleagues.
I will meet you all,
In turn

You see I don't know her
Though now I'm her only counsel
An honoury counsel if you will
A go between, an artist in some ways
I will paint her picture
I will paint it without compromise
It will be a "still" life not impressions
I will give it my all
I always do

We met only a few hrs ago
The bright sunlight in your flowing hair
Eyes fixed in a warm gaze
A smile, yes a smile
Perfect teeth and jaw
Lips the envy of any model
I never heard your voice
Just your last lost breath
Gone now

I don't know you
Yet now your laid bare before me
In the bright light it seems irreverent
You clothes gone your body cold
Why so young, why on a beautiful morning
Why at all

To work now
The attendant comments "You alone?" he is here
As the pathologist enters my colleague arrives
All here ready to go, and yet each of us I swear pauses
Is it respect for her or shock
So young

I know now
I mean I know the cause of death
I've scribbled dozens of post mortems
As has my exhibits officer, shes the best
The drink drivers, the druged the racers
The limbless the headless biker
All have a story, a reason when flesh divided
***** by ***** the answer presents
This time no different a ruptured aorta
Yet different

Ok done
My notes go to be transcribed
We wash, dress. Hungry? Yeah ok
The pathologist joins us for breakfast
He jokes about a fry up "it will be the death of us"
We eat on, it's dealing with it I guess
A last supper for them in a way
A black closure

The picture? Oh yes
Death by rapid declaration. Not a pretty one
One side perfection the other bones exposed
None of them will see that.
The attendant is a seamstress a consummate professional
They will see a friend a daughter a colleague
Not what we see or how we answer their questions
So many questions

I now know more
An amazing daughter, fabulous friend
And a lost lover who worked late
Partied early but didn't drink
Emotional after a romantic split
Fatigued tired out with colleagues
Tieing one on to forget. How then?
You drove home In the mornings sunlight
Radio on you went a little fast only forty two
Miles per hour that is.
At thirty you may have survived
But not today

Now goodbye
The coroner's verdict accidental death
Tired, fatigued you simply fell asleep
Drifted and weaved, you couldn't see his Uturn
You never saw anything again
It was your turn, my job is done
No other to blame all the canvas used
The full picture painted
I never knew you, yet think of you often
Some you simply don't forget
The needless
The good
The honest
Sleep now
