One two three four counting tiles on the wall
Do I do it in consciousness or subliminal
After all I put them there! I know how many already
We think the strangest thoughts, daydreams of simply bored
What if Shrodinger had a dog and Pavlov a cat
Would science be different for that?
Did man really walk on the moon or was it a desert soundstage?
Can air brushed looks ever replace a memory of another's face
Do dogs bark because they can? Or are we to thick to understand
I dont know I I don't speak dog or human sometimes for that matter
If I had religion with god I could natter
As I don't and never will I'll count more until I'm done
Five six seven eight

End of the rat race
Micheal Wolf Mar 2013
Always failing up the stairs
Stumble as you get off the escalator
Pull instead of push
The revolving door that doesn't turn
No toilet paper in the loo
The bulb goes pop as you enter the room
Size above size below but not yours
Traffic jam, no parking space
You fail at running the human race
But each night when you get home
He hugs and kisses only you
You don't need to run a race
This is the best part of your day
Micheal Wolf Mar 2013
Picture the scene
Together yet apart
Falling asleep alone
Mind creating a alternate world
A world were he is all
He is the arms that hold you
The lips that kiss you
A duet of pleasure he caresses you
You are transcended
Morning comes he's not there
You go to work, sit at your desk
There he is, he passes you say hi
He raises a smile, sheepish
Not because of the night before
For he was not there
He never was
Well not until you close your eyes
Tonight

Sapiophilia
Micheal Wolf Mar 2013
Hung upon every word
Clinging to every vowel
Each consonant a thrill
A big word simply tingling
Speak of the universe
He became the centre
The fixation of her purpose
He could have looked like Quasimodo
It wouldn't have mattered she wanted his brain
The intelligence aroused her
It filled the intellectual void
Being seen with brains made her weak
Weak with desire, hunting, stalling her prey
The next to consume
He oblivious to her twisted needs
Believing she loved him
She loved only his mind
The rest, the *** the games ?
All a part of the need
Her symptomatic sapiophilic ritual
She's out there now
Listening...
Waiting.....
For her next mark

My five a day!!
Micheal Wolf Mar 2013
Five a day!
I'm fed up to the back teeth
Adverts all the time
Five a day veg or fruit
Remember it is good for you
Well keeps the body health
But what of your mind
Well my five a day is for the mind
Smile at a stranger it could make their day
Cuddle your children they grow that way
Love your partner then tell them so
Hug your lover morning and night
Remember you're no better than anyone else
Do all five with your fruit and veg
Your life will mean more to you each day

Impressions
Micheal Wolf Mar 2013
We record the impressions left upon us by others
The good and the bad, all impressions on the soul
For everyone you meet leaves a little of themselves behind
Some over a long period a daily entwined interaction
Others a chance encounter sometimes but a moment
Yet another notch on that stick of experience
But what of the depth of the cut?
Some deep tortuous, some superficial
Some brief encounters leave a deep wound
That re opens like a sore when least expected
Others fill you with pleasure and wonderment
Yet I dare proclaim no two notches are the same
One woman's lover can bring sadness to another
For we are individuals all with our own notches
Each created a moment in time, each of us unique
We are simply hard drives
Living breathing hard drives

JUST BECAUSE WE CAN!!!
Micheal Wolf Mar 2013
Running barefoot along the beach
Farting in a room before you leave
An extra cake and sod the diet
Five minutes more in bed
A couple of drinks on your own
I twitch in the pants as they pass
Lie in the bath on the phone
Music loud when alone
Because we can

Onions v Emotion
Micheal Wolf Mar 2013
Layer by layer like peeling skins
The crisp outer layers
Moving beyond to the softer flesh
White not brown, moist not dry
Only this will make you cry
But I think love and emotion is just the same
Layer upon layer, the deeper we get
The more the tears
The more it hurts

Lucy in the park with TB
Micheal Wolf Mar 2013
Picture yourself unemployed, your life now in bin bags
With no home, no car and no roof over you
No food no boots no one to hold onto
You children don't recognise you

Whilst high on a hillside the political powers dine upon luxury food
Sipping their champers drinking your money
And looking down upon you

Using your money to fund and support all of their business intrests
Taken your life away, nothing left today

Lucy in the park with TB
Lucy in the park with TB
Lucy in the park with TB
ohh OOh Poor Lucy

Morning has come and her fingers now blue her face is dark and won't move
Her daughter can't wake her she cries "oh mummy"the coalition have killed you..
The government killed here with policy cuts and media lies each day
Cameron and Clegg Lining their  pockets as more more people die
Lucys now gone on a boat to the heavens
the ferryman took her away took her today

Lucy died in the park with TB

What is the plan Fran?
Micheal Wolf Mar 2013
A fallen catholic I shall admit
Yet I see a strange parallel tonight
A man who is indeed humble
Akin to the shoes of the fisherman
Oponionated in past yet compassionate
None radical yet I expect change
A man who can expel those others hid
Or a puppet upon a golden stage
But an outsider that was chosen quickly
Is the Vatican cleaning house?

Trust. What of it
Micheal Wolf Mar 2013
Confusion is amok
Emotion runs wild
Reason takes a dive
Heart skips beats
Stomach turns over
Belief is suspended
Love was there
Remember it well
Love that is
It was all
All or nothing
Jealousy it came
It caused havoc
Pain distrust anger
Loneliness hurt dismay
Goodbye was swift
Unexplained not reasoned
Betrayed by another
Confusion is amok

First positions
Micheal Wolf Mar 2013
Listened to a song by Ane Brun
"Do you remember"
The words are spectacular
Do you remember the early morning
When we went back to bed
We found our first positions
And every muscle rested...
How often the thought of that
Grabbing the moment while still warm
Diving back into bed
Back to where we left off
Magical

Little labels
Micheal Wolf Mar 2013
With due diligence she completes her task
Her fluorescent pen working flat out
Multi coloured no less adding importance
Then staples bashed and ready to go
There seems now a delight in her work
Demob happy counting down the days
Tearing the days of the desk diary
September will be here soon enough
I then imagine her retirement writing labels
Plants with little tags in the garden
Jars neatly stacked, labels all compliant
A new found order to disorder
An organised mind conquering the world

Goodnight imaginary scarf
Micheal Wolf Mar 2013
Indulge me for I'm sat looking at a scarf
As I transport rather splendid G and T
To its final destination
Not mine I hasten to add, my scarf that is not the gin
Purple not my colour you see
I had issue with burgundy as a child, frightful memories
I digress but it was left behind like a signature
Not intentionally just in a sweet forgetfulness
I can't pick it up, crazy as it sounds
I mean if I did it would be real not imagery
The moment lost, but no real moment as I can't feel it
Do you understand ? Perhaps not
I have admittedly been reminded of its presence
I imagine it's scent, no I imagine her scent
Her presence in the room, her smile lifts me
I mean it's just a scarf I mean it can't exist can it?
Do we leave a little of ourselves behind?
Emotion like lost property
I don't know, I honestly don't
Is there a course for metaphysical disorientation and the re repatriation of lost purple scarfs?
I guess not. I'd probably fail in any case.
It will still be here tomorrow. In plain sight, just hidden from my reality
Goodnight scarf.
Micheal Wolf Mar 2013
Pour myself another drink
I should stop writing and denounce HP
It has become a voice to my nightly brain fever
More serious disease than syphilis
As it eats away at my brain
I suspect in much the same way
In past a vent for the toxic thoughts off divorce
Preoccupied in bitter tears and hatred
Not seeing its healing potential till now
A display of my emotion
Sometimes intense yet so often lost to others
A soap box of parody that hid a broken heart
An inverse playground of my deepest fears
In that it has many swings and roundabouts
Of love, for others here
Some home so long since gone
Dealings with grief and loss of substance
My family
Now seems like a wrecking ball formed verse when re read
Others I cannot see where I was in my head
Lights on yet not at home
The words don't fit now
I thought STOP!
Delete
But that would be failed testament to myself.
The gin now speaks not me (metaphoric as drinking Bundaberg Guava as good for the kidneys and to wash down my acidophIlus tablets just to clear up that I'm not a wino!)
A bottle opened to embrace
Odd as I can't remember when I last loaded
More so on a school night
I was told to look in not omit myself by helping others
Give me some me time
I have time
I dwell, cogitate to detriment and find no solution
So Yes may be his answer and his inner solace
It is not yet for me.
Goodnight Mrs Kalabash see you in St Louis

All to much
Micheal Wolf Mar 2013
Evening approaches silently
The cold easterly wind bites
My face feels like ice, frozen
Snow is falling three counties away
It may reach me, it holds some comfort
Stomach knotted in depression
So so many many things beyond my control
Today was an effort, tomorrow will be more
One day soon I can see it unworthy of the effort
No tomorrow no more, no point
If you have never seen depressions face
Looked at its sallow eyes
it's gaunt expression looking back in the mirror
You my friend are lucky.
A silent killer
Slow
Un merciful
All consuming

Out the bath I had to get
To open the door to your smiley face
"AM I SAVED" your poe face asked
No you ***** I was in the bath
God has sent me to your door
Oh not again I'm getting bored
"Do you believe in the lord thy god?"
I'm dripping wet you stupid ****!
Patience gone decorum lost
I let both barrels fire at once
Oh doorstep preacher shut thy grid!
You live a lie and always will
No god will save you, no heaven above
The lie you live is foolish enough
Your bible is made from letters and verse
Hundreds of years after his birth
It was political work fit for a king
By sayers of soothes fearful of him
It kept people's in fear and others at war
No proof of its truths have  ever been shown
So preacher be quiet and pack up your wares
Let good people live without your concerns
Repent if you wish and seek your own solace
But disturb me again! I'll smack you I promise
The end of your world and it won't be a comet!

Old age arrives
We notice its signs
The insanitary odours
The squeeks the creaks
The inappropriate hairs
That grow from ears
The time it takes
To do simple things
The less to say
As the mind decays
Make your time with them
All it can be
For someday soon
It will be you and me

But there are many of you
There is the you you see in the mirror
The you your mother sees
The you who turns into work

The you close friends confide in
The you who hides your pain
The you who weeps alone
The you who needs a hug

You know that little voice?
The one that says be bad
It tells you do all the things
Your mum and dad forbade

Well now your grown its still there
It's gone deeper as it's older
Now it's you who calls the tune
You do just what it told you

So wild night's out with drinks and mates
The voices got you going
Tomorrow when your throwing up

Then later on the voice returns
But now it's kind of quiet
It whispers to your never again

Hides the bitter betrayal of a lover
Your effervescence is brimming

Be Livingstone
Micheal Wolf Mar 2013
I beseech you
Take a moment
Tomorrow morning
Begin your adventure
Don't delay
Stop!

Look around
Look up
Look at the architecture
You pass it each day
It's splendor it's majesty

For you must see
Adventure starts when you do
Not when the plane lands
Not when the ship docks

Look at the trees, their leaves
Floating in the breeze
Grass, imagine it between your toes
Nothing feels the same

Walk on the beach, close your eyes
You could be anywhere
Be where you wish to be

Look at the familiar faces
But take notice of them this day
Look, smile be a part of their day
You see it could be their last or yours

What if today was the last
It could be the one, the only chance
So don't take chances with your chance

Be Livingstone! Find your quest
Don't try to see over the rainbow
Lie beneath it stare in awe at its colours
For you have the world all around
It's within, it is your adventure

Blonde hair tousled
In wistful curls
You remembered her as a little girl
Her voice is soft as she says "Hi"
You'd love to answer but your tongue is tied
Although our voice is roaring inside

She wants you to just say hello
She will do the rest if you just show
You smile and turn and walk away
Like every time she comes your way

Neither knows how the other yearns
Hearts alone await their turn
Maybe tomorrow one will flinch
The fire will start and love released

It's never to late to fall in love
Just find the one and open up
Seize the day embrace the night
Live as one lovers entwined

The beautiful halfmoon in the sky
The velvet scent of the gardens blooms
Her face caught in the light of candles
Her eyes like amber in their glow
The scent of her skin, the touch of her hands
The things I remember most
Her kiss
None of these compared to her coldness
An arctic frost surrounded her heart
When it thawed a beauty beyond compare
Yet it was not seasonal
It's warmth was random, driven in self worth
It was never mine
