A HEART'S MELANCHOLY
Amani Niros Khan Jan 2020
Heard about heartbreaks,
Experience showing me how,

What are these feelings,
I don't know,
All mixed up,
Oh! It's a witche's brew.

What was gone returns as a boomerang,
Oh! Really the past haunts,

Why does the sufferrings belong to me alone?
Am I his closest friend; or loveable enemy?
I don't know,
If I am not; why he, the pain comes for me alone?

What my heart says; it doesn't speak out,
What my heart feels, the eyes let out,
What exactly is this life??
Clueless I am till now.

Escape
Amani Niros Khan Jul 2019
When your life is a dark rainy night,
What you will see is a way to escape,
When  you turn around,
You will see many mirage doors,
When you run to all of them,
Realization will struck you last,
Ohh! You poor thing,
There's no way of escape!

To the Poetry
Amani Niros Khan Jul 2019
Thou art my happiness,
Thou represent I ; my emotions
The freedom you give me is invaluable,
The peace you give me is serene and blissful,
The mood of ecstacy you give me,
Is so joyful,
What will I do without you,
What will give me peace without you,
Thy companionship,
Associates me to the peak,
Betwixt us what is it?
The bond of grand imagination,
When the reality pains,
Your companionship is mellow,
O my dear friend poetry,
What's more good than you??

The Gloom
Amani Niros Khan Jul 2019
Pondering,
Here I sit,
The small grains of sand I feel beneath me,

The low riffling of water,
I could hear,
Although the lake is near,
I hear it far,
More than near,

The atmosphere becomes gloomy,
The sky cracks,
Horrible and terrific,
Is the sound,

Heavy rain begins to pour,
Ssshhhh!
I shiver and squinch with pain,
With each and every drop touching me,

The rain stops,
The sound stops,
But the gloom never ends...

Poverty
Amani Niros Khan Mar 2019
Unattended office,
Useless job,
Father's feets,
Walkswith sorrow,

Once luxury,
Now misery,
The happy family,
Unhappy and down,

The love endless,
But a heart heavy,
Behind every smile,
Unbearable worries,

Once generous hands,
Now digs for spending,
The mouth,
Which made endless lists,
Now ponders to ask,

Ohh!!!
It's really amazing,
To see how poverty,
Can play such a tragedy.
