A life with a lover
Is possible if you stop seeking

It’s like falling asleep
You will never be able to rest
Unless your body forgets
Why it laid down in the first place
It isn’t natural if it’s sought after

I'm drinking up my problems
Corrosive fuel for my veins,
Rusting out the signs of life—
A hollow shell is all that remains.
The poor reflection of who I am,
Humane, respectful to a stranger,
But even the loveliest of shells—
tidy and decorated—
Crumble under corrosive weight,
If there's no-body to hold them.
bad habits destroy passion

Emma
Once more she drifts deep,

snowflakes,

feathers,

kisses soft,

blackness wraps her tight.

Contrast whispers in the void,

light and dark dance endlessly.

forcing your feelings on someone is irresponsible and rude,
but when crammed into words,
art is made.

is it poetry
if someone pens words that won't
work or hold meaning
i feel like i'm stuck using all these "fancy english words" to make my poems "better".
it makes them feel less personal in a sense.

one would have to be kind to suffice.
but those who are scarred by mockery
cannot pay that price.

strange,
wouldn't a wounded man protect his family
from the forces that once struck his soul?
that left scars for
the lonesome man he has become?

curious,
both the foolish and the wise
trace the lines of their scars with knives
to cut them on others, themselves,
into fresh, unbroken skin.

the blood pouring on the metal
a mere symbol of what lies within.
Talk about your trauma instead of passing it on to others

Taking strolls along the river,
Wandering paths of our paradise.
Tiny twigs scattered ashore,
Gray skies yielding to sunrise.

We laugh at silly matters,
Finding ways through tangled vines.
Never lost when we’re together,
For you know my crazy mind aligns.

I’m in love with you forever,
Tell me why?
My mind made you a hive,
Instead of bidding goodbye?

Tell me why you’ve chosen never,
While paradise breathes our names,
In every sigh.
I still can't believe she wasn't the one.
