There it was
The Word
Undeniably unpopular
But true
Sorry the burden to say it
Had to fall on you
You tell me “it’s not that simple,”
You’re right
Nothing ever is
Simple it would be without human frailty
It is that simple
We are too weak
Or at least
You are too weak
About that otherwise simple thing
Don’t feel insufficient
If you were always strong enough
You’d be a freak
Standing at the ******
I really gotta go

Starting to get ******
Cause I ain't got no flow

I feel the eyes upon me
The pressure starts to mount

A line of guys behind me
More than I can count

If only I were younger
I could **** a hole through steel

Now I just go drip, drip, drip
Seriously what's the deal

My prostate's like a grapefruit
I go five times a night

I haven't slept in fifteen years
It really kind of bites

When I close my eyes the final time
The biggest gift for me

Is when I get to heaven
I won't have to ***
Chances that are not earned
End in failure
999,999,999 out of a billion times
I’m not saying you
Won’t be one in a billion
One day, maybe
But the effort you think I got
To put into a one in a billion shot
Makes me see
You ain’t even one in a million
To me
It is poetic that “eyes” and “skies” rhyme
**** and luck
Love and glove
**** and slick
(Sick, too, but only if you’re not safe)
Sneeze and breeze
Please and knees
This can only mean
Words want to be in a poem
You punched above your league
You knew it
She didn’t
She believed in your superiority
Only because she had a hard time
Seeing
Herself
For her true worth
She only saw
What she was made to believe
By a society
That cannot recognize
Leagues
She said to me
“I hope his ex girlfriend is so ugly.”
That would not be my wish
To have stolen a pearl from a swine
I want my pearl to be
Pearl infused
A history surrounded
By beautiful things
And still
It’s my necklace he graces
Despite the choice
Of all those pretty faces
