It's not my bra, this I'll announce
construction of lace and wire
an implement to help restrain
what blessed nature has endowed

with a cup size that full enfolds
generosity I have up top
more than a handful is enough
to ask support when I dress up

the size is right for my frame
fitted by helping hands
front to back with soft straps
triple clasp to hold fast

pink or red, it's all the same
color echoes romantic bliss
once engaged and then removed
nature follows passion's course

one for the plunge, another prim
each occasion to be addressed
with the shear or full frock
delight is taken in the choice

swathed in beauty to accent
presentation abetted by lift's aid
I could live my life with delight
it's not my bra, though I wish it was.

I saw a post on Tumblr associated with the user name “notmybra”.   Well, it might have been “notmybrain”, but still, it was enough to get me going with a topic for a poem.

This heart                              was broken
before you came           along. Now I'm singing
Love songs. Before yo   u, someone stole my heart,
then ripped it apart. Your smile makes me melt,
you probably don't know how I felt. Your laugh
makes butterflies. You're diffidently not like
other guys. Your eyes are unlike any hue, I only
have eyes for you.  You're amazing, kind,
fun and spectacular too. You're sporty
and smart that is all so true. Your
perfect for me I'm perfect for
you. You do not know yet.
                   But I've liked you ever
                      since we first met.
                          So believe me
                            when I say
                                I like
                                you.
Please don't judge too harshly. I know its a horrible heart.

Do you choose or will you blame this on fate?
Your insolence is inescapable
And yet I allow thee to deprecate
Myself till I become incapable.

With such malice it cannot be legal,
Abusing ignorance, I must comply.
You call me chicken instead of eagle
So I dig, peck, and scratch when I could fly.

Departing once I realized your lies,
Fleeing with haste, there was zero forbearance.
So arrogant it took you by surprise,
that I did not heed your crude deterrence.

I will return one day, not to abhor
but to demonstrate, how high I can soar.
