Rolling and holding
onto a used to be,
always unfolding
across a jealous sea.

Your father's scolding is
whipped waves roaring,
a howling wind that tore
the sound from
hell's aching bell.

Your Father's smile, bliss,
graceful, gentle, wide.
When it falls down
you can't hide.

Rolling and holding
onto a used to be,
always unfolding
across a jealous sea.

One lonely night
Unable to sleep
Thoughts taking over
Exploding my brain
I wrote a poem for the first time
For me

One lonely night
When I discovered what writing did to me
Didn't sleep a wink
I just wrote and wrote
A sewer to the anxiety flooding me

One lonely night
I wanted to feel less alone

One lonely night
I wanted to read a poem
From the average person
Like me
Just trying to make though it each day

One lonely night
I came across Hello Poetry
And for fun
I submitted a poem
Not knowing
How this website would change me
(This note was written by a sabertooth tiger who lost a bet and as a result also lost it's teeth)

I am made from scars and a broken heart,
shattered promises forgotten like
shards of glass from the past, scattered
across the expansion of time.

We all are created with stars in are
DNA, a dusty and ****** design
from the mind of the great divine.
The universe breathes because we
can imagine it.

We are meant to grow and die,
to choose our paths but some
are not so blessed, we have
no freedom like the rest.

My path is not my own,
for I was born to be just
steal but flowing like a river
of words, a poet, an emotional
carpet for everyone to use.

These are my designs, my
contribution to this existence.

Here I am not stagnant, but I can fly,
sail, run, jump, claim, dive, and
shine. Poetry is my path to freedom.

My journey as a poet has brought me many designs, paths and friends. It's been a great adventure and I am hoping for many more. ❤️
