Ticking and ticking
tocking tocking and tocking
looking at the clock
ticking and tocking

time is going by so fast
change is in the air
in the now, feeling fear
for what will come
this time next year...

will I be in comforts arms?
or on the streets, under stars
will I be a happy man?
will I ever understand
the game we play, every day

so complicated
are our lives
when we cross paths
worlds lines all meet
in space, and time

links and forces bound together
reality needs an observer
before the universe's time
before us all, all of time
ahead of us a spec of dust riding on a sunbeam.
in the grand scheme of things
we're grains of sand on the beach
the only beach that we know
so it is, it is so.

Life soars high on a moonbeam
suspended by cosmic winds in a blue dream
subtle scintillation in the night sky
a most sanguine solace
a most surreal delight

Maybe it's not love but it can't be far
perhaps appreciation, under the light of stars
for I do not know these beings motivations
merged minds, separate bodies seek insulation
In cold stellar winds
drifting in elation

A gleam in the eye, maybe it's temptation
lovers delight above our world's location
my interpretation of these aberrations
often inaccurate, with no foundation
for all i know i'm tripping in my own fixation

Two great beings float across the sky
sitting on a moon in my mind's eye
love is on their minds when they feel cold
clothes of red, violet, cyan, blue and gold
a face of glass, reflections of the stars behold
the stars are in the sky tonight
