I was there in the starlight
Shining on our campfire
When she asked me mister
What are you looking for
A shooting star
Or a girl
Are Your gazes
For constellations
Or something more
I was there in the starlight
Her eyes were twinkling so bright
But I was looking for
A shooting star

You're too beautiful to cry
What man did this to your eyes

Would you allow me to try
To put a smile inside

Because
If I could squeeze in some love on the side

Those tears would disappear
And stay clear
If you allowed me to apply

And no one cares for my bass

I'm just an old b song

That memory again
Stalking me
Why can't I forget
the way I used to feeL

I just can't forget
How soft feminine

Was...

             It me

      T'was
obviously

I felt like I used to
The minute I saw this woman
Similar to whom my love knew

In my memories...

I just can't escape
What I erase
Every time it draws on me

Those kinna eyes
The red in her lips
And the way her hair falls
Just...

Relax
Those memories you buried in the past
This woman may look like what you used to have
But have you noticed

She's not...

The same kiss
And her heart beats
A few seconds less
As you caress the scent on her neck

You remember
What you keep trying to forget

You've been

Searching for someone
Just like her

But different

...Else

You feel
Like you used to love
Her
Real

Over and O'er
Again
Repeated in scent
That memory again
Tattooed on the eye of your lens

And you realize
With real eyes
I am talking to myself again

I've been calling myself you
When it's me in truth
I've gone completely mad
Thinking about...

That memory
Again

Mandarin sunset
        Silver moon
What have you
thoughts
About each avenue
Dry those sweaty palms
And cry me a smile
I've been lookin in your eyes too long
Through the cracks in my mirror
My friend
Remember how you loved
                          The ocean
How you loved the river
And the graffiti sky
Why did you leave us
                   Goodbyes
And a somber universe
Tears mundane
In your lulliby
Under those headphones
Beneath the bricks
What did you scribble
In those notebooks
Sharon Van Etten played
And you brushed your locks
The stage lit
              You looked
Such a shooting star
Emerald heart
               Under the rot
Why did you leave me
With the look of silence
When you talked to yourself
                          I heard quiet
In that broken mirror
It was your halo
Fallen on fear
          My own
Remember how you remembered
The earth in all its dirt
And the way water formed
                     Thirst
You were so hungry
Yet such a meloncholy
        Diet
. Mr you never understood
How to calculate old
                  Stay gold

Those fast fast
Cars
Naked candy
Those sweet scars
Remember how you loved
                  The intimate air
And how you used to breath in error
How you loved champagne
Spilled on a yellow dress
                    Kissing tears
Those mornings that never came
Until the night
My shattered mirror
The way you looked in every piece
   Scattered
Everywhere
Sharon Van Etton played
Her voice stared
Deep in your pupils
        My hazel wear
Remember how you used to laugh
And people heard
How you loved nature
     But you didn't here
Why did you leave us
All these pictures
Only albums could hold
                          Frames
Smothered in accordions
Why did you leave us
Oh-

Who you are
JaxSpade Feb 2019
Why did you make me write it
Pushing my pen because you want to fight it
You just want to see my ink spill
And my blood drip into the ink well
I dipped my quill in the bloodguilt
For every man I've killed his poor brain cells
With my alphabetical spells proped up like metaphorical discounts
Reasoning your doubts
With insurance that pays out
Go back to what I've written
And listen to your consciousness
Ask yourself the questions
There is an answer to every lesson
In the message you keep guessing
On each and every word I'm professing
You made me write it
And ignite it to the level
Of excited because you wanted to hear some
Rhythmic words delighted
Into Figments of imaginary
Fire
I wrote this down
Because you suffer from not knowing
Why is now
And you weren't cooperating
With what  you knew about
The blood spilling the inks mouth
So you could know how to bettter control your self
For who controls you
When no one knows who
You really are

Climate needs your change
JaxSpade Jun 2019
I saw the climate change
Right through my eyes
Maybe the government does need
More of my money
So they could turn it off

Raindrops kept falling on my head
They kept falling

Reminded me of the old tune about it

They said the climate was changing
And we need to be afraid of the danger
The environment needs our money
Because were only going to live 12 more years

I saw the climate change
And all the politicians held out their hands
And said make a change to our benefit

First it rained
Then it snowed
there was hail

I just don't know
because the climate changed to hot
We used to call it summer
But now every news station calls it something other than what it is for a profit

how much would it cost
to change the climate to something you'd want

A mountain appeared  before a man
He said I'll climb it

When he reached the peak
He said the only thing that changed

was the climate

On the highway
Staring at the lights fly by me
I drove at a slow pace

There was honking behind me
As a few birds flew beside me
With anger displayed

I didnt care
They could go around

Speeding bullets
Racing toward targets
Faster than patience
Would allow

I had a different destination
That drove me crazy
I wasn't sure who was at the wheel

I just saw lights
Passing my eyes
In the blurs of transportation

On the highway
I crashed and turned sideways
And wrecked into the situations

I could hear the stars whispering

Before the moon sat me down
Next to my conscious disappearing

I didn't need a fire
Because the sun had left the night warm

Yeah
The stars kept talking
And some of them swore

I could hear them whispering
About the beaten shore

They didn't like the noise it made
When the waves pounded on her floor

I asked them why it mattered
When they are so far

They said they wanted peace
And quiet

Instead of war

Wouldn't it be terrible
if the fruit was so unbearable
It made you lust for its flesh
With a passion too incredible to resist

Forbidden fruit

You couldn't resist the ****
The way it tastes in your mouth

i laid in your palm
A playdough
Like
You out of me
Formed
One thought
we ate of

Wouldn't it be terrible
if the fruit was so unbearable
we could blame it on the lust

The snake told us we could be Gods
If we ate of what we knew we shouldn't

we ate the apple and left the *******
On the foot of the fall

It was terrible
the taste of miserable failure
to the God we loved

But the fruit was unbearable
when you have everything else
But what we couldn't have
created a want
With a desire whispered by the liar
In horns

Wouldn't it be terrible
if the fruit was left alone
And the parable could be
About  how we resist   one

Wouldn't it be terrible
if we had a second chance
The ******* sits on the floor
Of the coming at task
Like a thief in the night
With the jewels in his bag

He says
The terrible has yet

Perceptions are conceived
with the belief
Of what we see
As each part of our brains
Collide

We decipher codes
With linguistic notes
We wrote when discovery
Wore a **** dress
That we took off

When a blind man dreams
What does he see
If he was born without eyes

As I ride the ponto-geniculo-occipital waves
In R.E.M states I fall into a vortex
Into my visual cortex
And all these things that happen
I can't explain

Imageries paint endlessly
As random neuronal firings in my brainstem
Continue religiously
My unconscious always stays awake
Through the interstates of my dreaming

Imagine me
A concept of a virtual reality
sensing and seeing hallucinations
In a subthreshold of my bodys activity

We dream
And when we wake up we dream
We open our eyes and see
And when we close them we see

The difference
Remains in the submission
To achieve what your brain
Finds delicious

You tried to break out
But found doubt
That was painted
Fell
In replacement
Of the sell
You wanted to tell
The story that ends at a wall
Writing down
The bricks that fall
Toward the ground
You found
Wanting it all
The way out
Was inside the pen
You swung as a sword
Unto the ears mouths
Writing what was falling
Was resolving what
You thought it allowed
Down further you spiral
Into the abyss of high lows
Never knowing
Where the end is now
You can picture it
But you don't know how
So you keep on writing
Pushing and sliding
The ink over countless
Rhymes in a row
The beginning
Was repeating the same words
You said many times before
Over and ending
Scrambling the yolks
Bending the syllables
Into the same old folks
You realize infinity
Was multiplied by 3.14
A PI that lasts forever more
Than you've ever tried before
That difference left an imprint
Where you fell
Writing down what you saw
When you fell on the floor
Ink spilled into a dream killed
And you ended up

You see something
You've never seen before

The way some things
And how others work

Of what I don't know

Someone told me

I told "I Am

Because I'm just too dumb
For my own good

What's left of an old man
With a heart in decay

Farewell to flesh

My rotting sole

My rotten soul

Every where I used to walk

Now where will I

Go

Am I just a ghost

Shrieking through walls

Drinking boos

And suffering wrongs

Here goes nothin'

Something

For the cause

Where will I live

If I don't

What kind of mind

Was installed

Who am I really

If I was at all

Here goes nothin'

Something

For the world

And is it worth

A street of gold

Farewell to flesh

And my liquid soul

For every paid interest

It cost a fool

Here goes nothin'

Something

For the rules

If there weren't any

What would I do

One

Around

Farewell my skin

My eyes within

No more wrinkles

Or time to hold

Here goes nothin'

Something

What I know

Compared to the one

Who made it all

Farewell to creation

You better not fail

If you do

No one will care

Know

Here goes farewell

Nothing

Something of my flesh

For a never-ending goal

Here goes nothin'

Transformation

I saw a butterfly change back
Into a caterpillar

Anti metamorphosis
Was a backward mask
Of a record player

And all her colors
Faded back into a green exterior
I watched her inch forward
Noticing her wings would no longer carry her

And at that moment she knew she'd have to buy alot more shoes

I asked her why she changed back
Maybe she didn't like to fly
Or the way her colors portrayed her
perhaps

She said what is the difference
In what you're looking at
Do you not find beauty in each way I dress
Has it changed my laugh

But what about change
And what about
Growth I said

Then she replied that's exactly what I did

I changed by not changing at all
I didn't prefer the flight to the way I crawl

I fought nature with all my creature
To be myself

I am a caterpillar
Not a butterfly at all

I am a sinner
And no ones proud
Who let me in here
To be crowned

A dunce in the corner of the world

Who is responsible for my fall
Why would a creator
Create me at all

I've gotta room at the top world
Tonight
But I ain't coming down
My lips are moving but there's no sound

My God can you hear me
At all

What am I here for
And how many more days
Do you want

What kind of designer
Would design my fault
And stick me in a demons
Blackened heart
Why would you cage me
In the devil's world
And smash my heart
By a beautiful girl

My God
My Lord

What? could you possibly want me for¡

holy ghost

There is ghost in my head
Shrieking
And he sees everything I'm thinking
He called me perverse

I said sorry
But I'm single

He called me a thief
And said I'm a cheat
For taking more than I could eat
At the buffet

There is a ghost in my head
Complaining about if
I'm doing the right thing

He called me a liar
Because I told the Police officer
I didn't know my tags were expired
He said I was guilty

Give me a break
I may make a few mistakes
But maybe I eat alot at the buffet
Because I'm hungry

Maybe I'm perverse because I'm *****

Maybe I lie to the Police officers
Because I don't want a ticket

I guess I'm crazy
Because there is a ghost inside
My head telling me I'm insane

And I
Think I
           Just might
                   Agree

I found the sunset
Orange in footsteps
With yellow eyes of crayon
I just kept walking
No one could stop me
Ever again
We sank down
Into the earths round
And burned our rays
You can still hear us
In the whispers chorus
Carried by the wind
I found the sunset
On the horizons doorstep
And it invited me in

Broken Head
JaxSpade Jun 2020
My head broke
And all the pieces fell
Like glass hopes

Shattered into a million
Shards of slashed throats

I layed there on the asphalt

A broken man
Lost in translation

Found in the laughs joke

My head broke
After I fell off the tightrope
I lost my balance
And the challenge
That life wrote

Pieces of me
Scattered all over
While my thoughts bled
Into a puddle

My head broke
Open

Hope spilled out
And I lost everything
My mind controlled
When

I broke my head

His Mural
JaxSpade Oct 2018
He wasn't great at anything
Never a sculpture
Or an encyclopedia portrait
A rather odd logo
From a different establishment
Energy was intermittently governed by spirit
And spirits
His name was also a number
Socially secure yet alphabetically altered
His design was simple however obscure
But they named him manure
He was the waste product of nature
The skin was his dirt and cologne
For he damaged the earth with his birth
And his thoughts of worms dug through the soils worth
Burning in the minds hot hearth
He begged for the waters thirst
geyers
Like elephant trunks in between tusks
He was the dung on the bottom of foot
Trampled rug wipe your feet with a welcomed hug
Water
Washes away the sand castles daughter
He was a father not a prince or a knights armour
And as he walked his path that time slaughtered
God's wrath bought hurt but hadn't cured
What he wanted
Was it greatness
Or the value of a dollar
That makes him feel like a God
Naturally
For what is his nature
Should you label him normal
Awkwardly
Difference is his individuality
Occuring in nature independently
Frequently
What it so great about the one guy, no one knew
that would matter to a disappeared world
An earth visited by a clock
Fathered by Mother
He discovered
Life is a matter
Suspended in a black hole pattern
Ghostly dimensions of spiritual gathered
Out of his control or design
What his labeled read when applied
Property of eternal deaths life
He wasn't great at anything
Until the end of time

Lacrimal Vase

Tears are only secretions from a troubled eye
A hordeolum bespectacled lack of lye
In the lachrymal lakes of a punctum stye

This is what she said to me, a scientific lie
She explained to me, o'er again, the reasoning why
Tears are only secretions from a troubled eye

Mine had wandered into logs and knives
And they pulse the tears of meandered cries
In the lachrymal lakes of a punctum stye

Forgiveness is a forgotten try
Boy cried wolf and science vied
Tears are only secretions from a troubled eye

Pleas and knees swallow pride
Tears fall deep and losses die
In the lachrymal lakes of a punctum stye

Two of hearts must say their goodbyes
As love was lost for science to find
Tears are only secretions from a troubled eye
In the lachrymal lakes of a punctum stye

Finish Line
JaxSpade Nov 2018
Walking along the side of life
I looked at the stride
And tried to pace it with time

It was running so fast
I couldn't catch up
And I fell behind

I was just too slow
So I gave up trying
And I sat down
In the middle of the road
While it passed me by

Then it called me an old man
When it left me to die

But I had a plan
With my bible in hand
There was a victory inside

Walking along the side of life
I decided to walk with Christ
Then Gods kingdom
Became eternally mine

And when I crossed the finish line
The Angels sang a chorus divine

To God be the glory!
For this is HIStory!
In the race of a man

He then raised my hand
And said my son
You didn't lose to life

         You won!

I'm A Punc

She slipped into something more comfortable
A night gown of words dangled my participle
Her misplaced modifier made her susceptible
So I indulged in verbing the adjectives delicately
Our vowels and consonants were the scent of the consequence
Paragraphing
A new article developing
With no Copyright and editing
Raw alphabetically
We formed a story poetically
Carrots and apostrophes
Comma my colon semi figuratively
And I won't touch the period, seriously
I took off my lyrically
And pounded her *****
Her exclamation
was no question
marked
I hit the spot of ecstasy

After I surfed the waves
We slept on the shores of allegory
Punctuations were left said

Then fell into the ellipsis of our story…

A lil moon shined
JaxSpade Dec 2019
She said there's blood
In your eyes"

"I said no

That's just the moon shining
That's just the *****"

I was feeling so blue
I drank the whole universe
Because I had nothing to lose"

"She's said no
That's blood

I can see you're a fool
Cut by a woman
Thinking love was true

I bet she sold you on forever
I bet she said I do

Before she left you in moon shine
With your heart in a noose
I bet she's bleeding too

"Naw it's just me
I guess you could see
The blood in my teeth

Dripping the truth
There's blood in my eyes
Blood shot
And shined by the moon

Every one can see
The red I bleed
But all I really need
Is a little moonshine
And a pair of shades

She said no"
You need me

Snakes with legs
Walked through skyscrapers
Up
      And
              Down
             Elevators
With pairs of slither sneakers

        : Discombobulated :

They were wearing fat laces
         Like the breakdancers
And they shook
With Sidewinder moves

Ghetto blasters played tunes

They mastered

I heard KRS-ONE
                               The Teacher
And the BDP crew

             Playing
Jack Of Spades

And behind my shades
        My eyes were red

But I was cool

             In the Big city
While smoking a fatty
With some Grand Daddy
               And Bubba kush

I saw a girl
Lookin like
A La Peregrina pearl

... She was
                   shining on!

And like that Lennon song
We all glowed along
       To her vibration

        And loveliness

Snakes with legs
Walking along!

The boulevard

Without
             Slithering

I met a girl
That glowed
                    In the dark

     She was a violin
       In  a cello song
And she made us all

                Sing a song

                 Of harmony

Snakes with legs
Walking along

All day long

                   ... Slithering
