Standing beside the one I thought was on my side.
It took an immersion of a massive disaster to know that wasn't something the one wanted.
The ploy of little tiles expanded on a Scrabble board to find the meaning
Behind the smile hidden by the obvious eye roll.
It all feels as if every moment was fake.

    Death now lives inside us all

    Acted dumb but were smart after all.

The battle of emotions
   You won with the silence
The wait for something to signify
    You counted as the minutes went by.

The fracture of our soul
    The wait the guilt the regret
    And the life of us all.
