Hey sleep, why have you become weak of late
You used to knock me out for like eight hours
Why do I have to beg you now to take me out
And even after you do, a few hours later,
you let your hands off me
Sometimes, waking up late can be sweet
Even though it leads to a rushy morning
But I'll prefer that to a lack of sleep
Sleep! Sleep!! You have to get stronger
Or maybe I'm the one who needs to cast
my worries away and allow sleep have its way
I don't know, maybe I do, maybe I don't.

Focusing on people's opinions of you
Or giving priority to what they would think of you
Those things come in the way of self-discovery.
If your happiness is tied to a person,
what happens if they switch up on you
Only a few things beat being one with self
Embrace your journey with all that comes with it
Applaud yourself, appraise yourself.
We need one another but you need
no one more than you need yourself.

There are dreams that you see
when you are deep asleep in bed
And there are dreams (ambition) that
keep you awake even when you are in bed

Knowledge is likened unto a seed
The application of knowledge is
similar to the planting of a seed
Putting them to use is what produces fruits
And just like seeds, knowledge can still
be shared with others even if not used personally
Sharing what you know never reduces
what you know.

Greatness is not measured by
the longevity of a person's life
But the number of lives one could
impact positively within one's lifetime (and beyond)

To no one is tomorrow guaranteed
Today is the day to sow kindness seeds
What kind of legacy do you want to leave
Make each and every day count towards it

Life is too short to chase vanities
Too many stress over things that are unnecessary
We are all innately gifted and unique
But not too many live from within

Search within to know your true self
And when you find you, desire not to be
anyone else for every other person is taken
Strive to be you to the fullest.

Doubts might knock on the door of your mind — which is reasonably fine
But you mustn't allow doubts knock you
off your feet
You have a great deal of power housed within
Never underestimate what you're capable of
You might be starting later or running
slower compared to your peers
But that doesn't infer how far you can go
You have all it takes to reach your goals
Just go! March on, ignore all the doubts.
