it doesn’t have to be forever
for you to hold my hand
we don't have to be together
for us to know and understand
we don't have to say those words
a smile is all it takes
to make every moment feel so eternal

Singing to you from the blissful night before,
To places you've gone where I never could explore,
Whispering your name to the gentle breeze of eventide,
Cause I could never sleep right without by my side,

Hoping this telegram of my heart still reaches out,
From a distance like the stars, here I wait still devout,
If they call me insane hoping that you would respond,
Then I am a fool who honestly fell for you and beyond.

slumber can't keep us in its bounds too long
mornings like this brings hope for the day
enjoying the dawns rising light and warmth
not trying to reason or think about this
just surrendering to instinct
understanding my true self among the silhouettes
that wanders in the corridors of my busy mind
yet moments like this never last too long

do heart shifts from black to grey
as time and things do so
do picture so vibrant and clear
fade to smudges and dust
will i ever find someone to hold
when the world starts caving in
should i shut my eyes or see how it all falls

Amidst twirling dresses of dazzling silk,
A glimpse of tender grace flickers through frenzy,
A priceless smile swept away in merriment,
To be pondered wondrously as motions flow,
And drift and spin and circle another,
A union of unions floating past stars aligned,

Our worlds collide in glorious sparks,
Reality's gift of pure ecstasy,
Treasured moments with touch you feel,
Whizzing by in delightful zeal,

But fortune fading outlasts wishful thinking,
Fast approaching an end to the bliss,
An end to the night's romantic fever,
An end to the fire without a trace,
An end to endless drifting through space.

how does one hold your gentle heart?
with hands like mine filled with scars
holding broken shards that fell apart
those i have loved and fell like stars

how does one love with hands like this?
someone who's rough and blistered
compared to you my dear young miss
my heart has been tired and weathered

Our dreams
Beautiful one time
A pure hell the next
Never knowing what to expect
You head in and lay your head
Is your heart filled with unshed tears?
Or with silent laughter?
Our minds decide our fates
When, for only a minute, mind and body are apart
So, what about you?
Do mares plague you
Or are you surrounded by smiles?

if I should rise and live
and you should ever fall
I shall weep and mourn
I shall raise a glass and call
a brother be lost but he is reborn
I raise a toast and pardon the tears
to a memory I can still recall
the nights we fondly drink with joy
now honor this glass to which to part
drink not to forget but to remember
the night that was and still as young
filled with jest and glee the heart that still beats

peaceful times where hope rings

hear the siren calls that shout from a woman's soul
she screams, she yells that she is here, standing firm,
she is not merely a woman but a fighter, a revolutionary,
her undying valor matches her fiery delicate beauty,
her heart filled with passion no matter the burden.

songs she sang with grace and an enduring voice,
that tremors and shakes the old orders of the world,
this mad desire, this stumbling, ceaseless search,
that she's the guiding wheel where man is at fault,
resiliently unwavering patient through the ages

she is not merely a servant, nor mouse to be played,
she is a valiant fighter who hides her struggles,
she acts alone but never quenched neither silenced,
she is armed with dignity and the will to carry it alone,
struggling with ceaseless ridicule and abused for change

her soul fights against nature, realizing the absurdity,
to be liberated never to be numbed and content,
embers the light the fires of her harden soul,
a model of modesty and immortalize sacrifice,
to give and lose everything except her ideals.

she who holds her red banner proudly towering high,
defined not by her looks but her action as a woman,
who toils, sweats and bleeds like men in any field,
till death she shall raise her fist in defiance,
A woman like that is not ashamed to die.

are we but lonely dreamers
drifting upon a sea of twilight stars
not knowing when to wake

We live in such a beautiful world and yet... we regret it.
We create our own little world to keep us hidden from reality.
Our own reality against the world's reality is very different.
We do this to hide the horrifying truth that this beautiful world of ours bear.

Wait for me,
and I'll come back!
Wait with all you've got!
Wait, be patient and I shall return to your loving arms embrace
Wait, be patient till I may kiss your warm lips again,
wait, be patient no goodbyes and farewell tears,
Wait, for I have kept you close and your love protects,
Wait, until i sing to you once again my love,
Wait for me as I kiss your hand before I go,
Wait, until then remember our fondest memory.

Wait when cheerless yellow rain whispers that you need not.
wait as the leaves fall and flower withers,
wait even as the sky darkens and the moon changes,
wait as the dawn breaks the cold night sky,
Wait when the snow swirls fast, and the bitter freeze loses your warmth,
wait when the sun blazes hot,
wait even if the seasons change and I am not there,
wait for me though you cannot hear my voice,
wait even if we are miles apart in distant lands,
In foreign frontiers and unknown fronts,
wait for me and so we may dance again,
wait when long days are past and others have forgot.

Wait when from the distant place, word does not arrive.
Wait, when all those you face know I'm not alive.
Wait for me, and I'll come back!
Wait for me, don't fret!
When they tell you there's no doubt that it's time to forget,
Be strong have fate for I shall be back,
Wait and keep me in your thoughts for you are on mine,
Even when those dearest to me tell you I am gone and past.
As your eyes swell to tears from their words,
Even if it shatter your heart to doubt if I am still alive,
Even when my nearest give up, claiming it's been too long.
Even if they honor my name and what little I left behind,
Let's raise a glass of bitter sweet wine, to the friend who's passed into glory -  But wait!

Don't share that drink! Wait until the last!
Wait for me and I'll come back, Cheating every fate,
Deciding when to live and past,
Enduring the odds and evading deaths grasp.
Through the anguish and slaughter of the field,
Though my body suffers and tires my soul cries to survive,
For you are waiting for me to come back,
Broken and scarred I shall return to you,
Wait until i can hold your soft soothing hands once more.
They who had lost hope shall be in shock,
"A nice stroke of luck!" they'll say,
those that could not wait.

Only they will never know how amid the strife,
Amid those who now lay in anguish lost and scattered,
by waiting for me, my dear,
and you saved my life,
You have brought peace to my soul.
But the two of us will know,
How you got me home.
Only you knew how to wait,
it was you alone.

In rising movement,
And of simple ecstasy
A morning euphemism occurs
Expressing a greater philosophy

"Spread your wings", she said to the vibrant sea
Dyed pink by the sunrise
Extending her arms to the horizon
She embraced the world, the sea, the sky, the space

Revelations and thoughts shot out into the growing light
An empowered voice infused a moment, a single moment
Until the echoes couldn't be heard,
Already reaching the faded stars.

can I genuinely smile
without feeling so empty
why can't I just be normal

The victim of men's lusts and rage,
a woman drunk from sorrows pain.
Where your sanity was lost in a daze,
what thoughts ran through her mind,
with the gun she borrowed?

What beauty they kept hidden,
this sad world will never know.
Secret treasures forever buried now,
when you took your own life,
to be free and nothing more.

Look up!
Do you see the sky?
It really is beautiful tonight!
How I wish to be a star myself,
Incandescent and full of energy.
Drifting across space as carefree as I am.
How I wish to be a star,
An orb witnessing the movement of the whole universe,
Being a spectator to its never-ceasing growth.
Without being perturbed from all the noise.

As unusual as it sounds,
There is another reason I would prefer to be a star,
They connect with each other.
Creating such a beautiful sight of harmony.
Linking with each other and forming constellations.
Why do I want that, you ask?
Take another glance at the sky.
You see those stars?
They had linked perfectly with each other.
That is what we are.
Because you are my star.
And I am yours.

The cold December breeze whisperers away
your name that keeps me half asleep
I long to be with you my rose sweet
Yet here I wait not knowing when
Shall fate brings me to your lips again
Just know only this among the many
That there is a heart that beats for you alone
migayle ocuaman Jul 2019
Christ took a spear to the breast
You can take one too remember that when they crucify you.
They walk on land
you walk on water and they know not what they do remember that when they crucify you.
And the sea parts,
And the clouds make way,
And the land trembles,
And the thunder roars loud
As to the lightning clashes
Its the most horrific story that we've heard to date.
And its death, painted on a child's face.
Anointed like David and those before and after him
And those restless eyes,
Who tears have baptized them
My fathers watching over me.
And we the people hack each other down,
As we have done to our brother Abel
Have we not tired of the mark of Cain
Like we forgot we were equal
Have we forgotten we breathe and bleed the same
I still hear the horrid hellish sounds
Voices that spread love and peace fall on deaf ears
Till innocent blood has spilled too much
Shall we heed or glare till it happens near

United We Stand
Upon this battlefield of the grand
Fighting for our own sense of justice
Our strength fueled by persistence
Our swords let out mighty roars
Together we dominate wars
Neither is wrong or right
But just a simple loyal knight
Showing our true selves with not a spoken language
But by our strength we use to vanquish
Our combined strength used to maul
But in the end, Divided We Fall.

They charged into war
With power and grace
A breed of horses
Wrapped in lace
The men oh wonderful
But slayed so forceful
Oh dear my Lord, my Shepard
My fate
Many have fallen with terrible hate
The skies were grey
The Devil was paid
With the lives of the fallen
And the grace of hate
Oh such grief
It twas such grim
As death played its hymn

can you please tell me again..
the words you said back then
about how much i meant to you
about how your love was true

can you please tell me again..
that dreams do come true
that if i wish to be with you
it's just a matter of time for me and you..

will you tell me our story
and the things i've already forgotten
will you take my hand again
even without my memories,

and maybe, start all over again..?

can you please tell me again
tell me over and over
again and again.. and again
until i remember all of them....

I stared into the Abyss and it stared back in through me.
We kept a gaze and exchanged some words.
We talked the whole night through, but then, as was to be,
the sun came to rise and the night sky vanished completely.

I was shunned by the people of my own time.
I painted them drawings that never saw their prime.
I wrote them writings and they said, "there is no rhyme!"
I solved their problems and they gave me a ten-cent dime.

All of this and i never got a price. I took a shot every single night
and told myself, "Oh what sorrow to think, maybe the abyss was right"

Close your eyes, and imagine for a moment,
A world of your own, hidden safe in your mind.
Close your eyes, and forget all of your torment,
Embark to your world, leave space and time behind.

Imagine the clouds, carelessly wandering,
Imagine the grasslands, expanses unknown.
Imagine the nights, the brightest stars shining,
Imagine the sunsets, of orange and gold.

Imagine the spectacular, forever and always,
Always see the glass half full, regardless of situation.
Think outside the box, remember there's always a way,
Be strong and never forget, don't lose your motivation!

We envisioned of a promising start to depart
Pawns we move and lose we couldn't care less
Carnal desire of the flesh that corrupts the heart
The game we play is that of precision like chess
Yet still we dream of bigger things in the dark

The gentle moon shines its beams to you,
As the night sparkles, it compliments your hue,
Your eyes that wonder and shines like the cosmos,
If I had one wish to be true you're the one I want most,
Among the twilight angels you alone got me in a trance,
Each step you take looks like celestial phenomenal dance,
Your pristine subtle smile that every star glances and follows,
Oh lovely, if we do part awaiting for another long tomorrow,
I'll stay right here till then dreaming of you through sorrow.

like stars we shall glow
pouring out of the shadow
let that lonely feeling wash away
for freedom awaits the coming day
The morning is now breaking

some may utter words shaking
yet courage in our hearts within

Starlight, twilight,
Course upon the endless night.
And wish we may and wish for more,
Through vast known quantities to explore.
Down from day, soar on May,
First of stars we might soon stay.
Leap across that ocean sea,
And spread beyond for eternity.

I've seen my country under its twilight stars
Gold horizon breaks the sky as morning rise
I have seen my people under the sun

Life... It is a curious thing.
They place those with intellect on a pedestal.
Praise them & congratulate them for their foresight.
Never once considering it as lucky fate.
One mistake is all it takes.
The once praised became blamed.
Countless maimed & forever chained.
I accept this fame.
History will remember this stain.
migayle ocuaman Jul 2019
When you are born, you are destined to die.
The earth you came from, you will forever lie.
But in your life, you'll have a chance for life.
Not life, for it's claimed by the reaper's scythe.
But in courage, left for us to behold.
Not in blood, and not in gold.
To preserve life is the ultimate reward.
For life is something nobody can afford.
migayle ocuaman Jul 2019
Time goes e'er nearer to heart of mine
Shines brighter than how diamonds shine
Most precious indeed, this gem of the sea
Wonder however, how it came to be
Yonder stalks in the furled sails of rice fields
Planted by humble farmers in dearest abode in the hills
Yonder nightingales in the starry night sky
As I lie awake, lying on the grass each night
Pointing to one particular star with a finger
And leading and forming to shape it better
You know what I found?
Warmer than fire, louder than sound
Is the shape of the heart that even though we're apart
I'll find my way back to you
I promise this is true
For as the tree grows in every year
Drink to the hopes that I'll return, have no fear
As the sunset lows darker each tick of the clock
You'll know when the time comes that I shall return, love

I sit here alone,
Remembering the days that have gone....
Past words and feelings still
so fresh...
And suddenly from the darkness of my room I get the so much wanted cold embrace of Lady Death...
I leave this world behind with a heart full of joy...
I still can hear the birds and your heart beating next to mine...
I get flashbacks from when we were one...
Suddenly I wake up and find you sleeping peacefully in my arms and I think to myself
"It was just a dream...."
migayle ocuaman Jul 2019
And so I watched the sky
where the sun shines
and the birds fly
with such grace and beauty

Flowers bloom
and wind rises
sweet, sweet smell
and flavour rises

its life that shines
brighter than anything
it was her eyes and smile
that burst with feelings

Love comes to me
and stays by my side
it was always her who showed me
what this poem was about
migayle ocuaman Jul 2019
How they lit up the sky with hearts on Fire
Their roses of light even when hope's dire
It glowed and gently rose
To the war in the beyond

They all counted them
One for each member
Even for those who are lost
But they cannot remain in the past

They sacrificed their all
And in that moment,
The world was beautiful
Like the planet wasn't falling

Pieces of light gathered
They held hands together
And watched as they touched the Earth,
And smiled a happy smile

The moon broke into pieces
The planet was destroyed
Along with the circlet of roses
How they loved their planet so....

Big Beautiful Dreams
Soar High Overhead
Opens Endless Seams
Of Rhythmic Songs Said

Gentle Winds we Fly
Climbing Ever So High
Until I say Goodbye
Fly we will in Big Skies

I meet you at the silver lining of my dreams and reality
I want you there with me
And for me to not wake
For time flows around in this place of truth
So that we may spend as long as we want
Only me and you
At this silver lining of dreams and starlight
It drew us in from our first sight
So that whenever we dream:
we can come to this place at night
From the height of the stars we can see everything
And everyone
But they can't see us
For we are the silver lining
Far above all else
migayle ocuaman Jul 2019
You speak of these lofty dreams,
These wondrous tales of the explainable.
But do you truly believe they exist?
That they are within your arm's reach?

Close your eyes and paint them with your mind.
Every color and every detail as clear as day.
From rolling hills of grass to endless skies.
Every blade and every cloud outlined in gold.

Imagine the spectacular and indefinable,
The impossible and the unreachable,
And believe, dear child so small.
Believe you can reach out and take it.
migayle ocuaman Jul 2019
Dear Good Sir,

I am quite tolerant of your vainful antics and acts
Yet as your dearest friend i advise and implore you
To state the fact and only the matter of the truth
On your hubris arrogance and shallow attacks
Reflect on your words before our paths intertwine
And before i lose my patience and draw the line
Take caution in your next steps you might take
As your friend know our companionship is at stake
Yet if you remain relentlessly stubborn as ever
You know my grievances and as well as my answer
I wish for none of this yet you force my blade
For my honor your life or mine i shall trade

Your humble colleague,
M. Ocuaman

Ash and snow rains as the storm emerges untamed.
Honor thy name, thou hour hast came.
Upon the battlefield lay the graves of the fallen.
Once a thriving nation behind a wall, wings of freedom does it call.
Through eyes of innocent as all shall fear,
watch as blood drops from far and near.
Chaos is the world I shear, like a bird in a cage I do not fray.
For we are the hunters and they are the prey,
with wings thou bear on thy back and sword pointed at thee.
Reluctant Heroes that are we, fighting a war that was not meant to be.
As daring as one can be, losing hope and will to live in chaos that dawns upon me
living comfortably in a false reality, how can one call themselves a soldier of humanity,
souls and flesh that are devour, a steady march forward bound as a new horizon towers.
Your sacrifice is not in vain, with this feel of everlasting pain,
I shall fight with thy dying breathe walking a path alone with no gain.
As the air is thick of peddle roses that beseech among the hollow ground wanders
Look through the eyes of sorrow and buried, for thy comrades life was borrowed.
continuing without a rest I shall fight until the battle's won, united we stand alone with
Tears that fall, for a darken soul is created in the wake of vengeance that so ever linger,
these final salute of humanity we give, to those of this The Funeral Honours.
