and those I do not know
deep in a world
where truth is not
the enemy

is such a burden for you to carry
it is filled with fury
childhood grief
undried tears , years of no belief

is filled with never speaking
learning to whisper
never shout
a bundle of miscommunication
my love is full of  loud words
never reaching their mark
like wounded birds
my love always too stark
never quite smooth enough

Can I take you home?

deep
beneath an emotion

as we sit here
at the dying of another day
I remember little

the opulence
is impressive
I love the deep lavish crimson
privilege
that surrounds us
if we fall
it will be on lush purple velvet
at least
that’s what we have been
led
to believe
