I'm addicted to crying,

for salty droplets of regret

to drip across my cheeks.

Craving dampened promises

to rain down from my blood stricken eyes.

Wanting to peel away at my flesh.

Tainted by words unclean.

Filthy fingers of actions taken

silence screams of breath,

running their nails from nape to chest

opening trenches infected by whispers.

Lies seep from oozing wounds

festering from the tears shed

that hit the floor like toxic waste

eating up memories like acid

to pictures engulfed in flames.

I'm addicted to crying.

What do you do when life comes crashing down,
like waves of the ocean during high tide.
what do you do, when emotion comes flooding in
and you are forced to speak
and your mind reels
and your decision decides a life.

What wisdom do I speak,
that would wash it all away
and bring the tide back out.

I only wish now, that my tears would fall down,
and cleanse me of this night,
so I might see redemption in their eyes,
but I'd give that up to see them live.

Sitting on the fence, dipping my toes into two pools,
that both lead to death,
with those I wish to keep in close company,
urging, pushing, unknowingly,
as they defile life by slashing and crashing
at no fault of theirs.
I am stuck, pulling at those who would leap
off the fence.
All the while,
I know the fence will be done with me, and I'll be torn in two.
"sooner or later, somethings got to give."

Is this it?

is this all?

just getting up
each time we fall...

afraid to live
too scared of death
****** by both
by ev'ry breath

no hangmans noose
no guillotine
just the bitter taste
of the end unseen

the open grave
headstone unsigned
as time runs out
and underlined

farewell goodbye
let's part our ways
and dream once more
the end of days

The grass ain't green on the other side
it's just another lie from the government
best lock your doors and run and hide
cause the time of reaping's imminent

They promised all and delivered ****
just to keep in line the working man
now the fan's well and truely hit
and it's time to get up off the can

We gotta vote with out feet this time
we've gotta get our voices heard
penny for your thoughts, man here's a dime
you slew the eagle and gave us the bird

Capital punishment now that's a joke
cause it's done to us all each day
the man in the suit holds the yoke
and the bill of rights is to high to pay

Walk on walk out or just walk away
cause the land of the free's been taxed
and we can't watch the piper play
as the cherry tree gets once more axed

It's a lie it's a sin it's democracy
and we all know whose to blame
cause we voted him in with beauocracy
and hung our heads in shame
No offence America it kinda wrote itself

I have an issue
One that weighs heavily upon my heart
One that, if left unchecked, threatens to tear our social moral fiber apart
An issue I will express in English, with some help from my old friend Swahili
Hii imenisumbua akili, kwa hivyo kuiongelea ni kitu tunastahili
Hii story ya immorality tunaichukulia so so light
Dem akiji'expose kidogo mbele ya kamera haina mseo, tunampandisha cheo kwa society, all of a sudden ye ni socialite
The new cool, eti ‘good girl gone bad’
Hiyo njaro siyo polite

We have a lot more to live for than that which we seem to be aware of
It’s not always about a good time, or lack thereof
Our reputation as a culture I believe is something we badly need to take care of
Siyo game
Siyo Jokes
Si eti mambo na fame

It shouldn’t just be about who drinks, who smokes, who vomits and who chokes
Hiyo lifestyle siyo dope
Na siyo right

Six hundred and seventy something ways to die… choose one
I refuse to go… speeding down a highway, drunk out of my mind, on another booz run
However, I may not exactly be the right person to point out how messed up you are
On a scale of one to ten?
I’m probably as guilty as you are
*******!
English... I speak it, I write it
Swahili... I'm proud of my heritage and culture, this language represents that and allows me to express my thoughts
Sheng'... It's slang, every culture has one, I can't help but speak and write it

Finally... I just did what I usually do, in more languages than one.
