Della Sun Apr 2015
As auburn skies fade to black,
her heart sings for that one black cat.
"Should I question my actions?"
"Will you ever return?"
She sobs these words holding that one black cat's hollow urn.
"You told me to stop your pain inside."
"But how would I know mine would not subside?"
Cleaning the blood off the floor,
crossing the room to close the door.

She can't stay still from fear:
she knows,
the neighbor's suspicion only grows.
Bright lights fill her home, invading her privacy.
News reporters filming for all to see.

She remebers the day she said her vows,
the day she married the cat; He's gone now.
Put in a padded room, she is isolated from the world.
That one black cat is never to return,
she put his ashes in the urn.
