Placed on a pedestal
Eyes on you, reticle
The words from your lips
Become objects, remembered by many
Yet forget who spoke it
Put onto a stage
Everything becomes a haze
Parade for the savior
Festivities for the mentor
Who came up with one idea
Which they didn't even like
Falling from grace implies never being disgraced
Idea, object, turned to a phrase
Until they move on, then set it ablaze

Strength of a lion
Soul of a saint
Wish I had both
But all I do is faint
Can't handle existence
Even though I exist, I feel transparent
Look through me, see the fear within me?
----------------------------------------------------------
Others see men as men
All I see men as are wolves
Men and women alike
To be human is to be in a bubble
Blind to trouble, avoider of struggle
Chasing after pleasure by running over heads
The scales have broken, balance bespoken
----------------------------------------------------------
But, am I any better?
Never initiate the imitator
All you get is replication
Let these words fester in a letter
For to remain deranged is to be estranged

Tribalism, factionalism
To describe our modern world
Takes only two words:
Despondent reconciliation
Across the whole nation
Affirmations can't solve stagnation
Rather be a ******* crustacean
Watching as the world lacks declaration
Manmade abomination
A search for civility led to hostility
"Our way is peace"
"Follow our law"
Same agenda, a different vocation
Sitting on the side exclaiming:
You brought your own damnation
Yelling for compensation

We want peace, no more war
But, pawns already in motion
Kings are established
We never got this far
By bowing down to a tsar
Yet, a journey needs an ending
Closing act, here comes the facts:
There are no epilogues
In this world, you're done, leave it at that
Leaders play Chess
Soldiers play with toys
One embraces strife
The other sends away life.

Alchemist, the architect of my sorrows
The only time life matters is in the autopsy
Black Dahlia
Always proclaim, "these are the best year of your life"
Yeah?
I cannot overcome strife.
The behemoth hasn't been beheaded
By day, hollow.
By night, I wallow.
If life is a pursuit of pleasure
Why have the other emotions?
Comotion, message received
Never took an oath, my mind is broken
Cradle of filth
I'd reach for the bleach
But then I'd be sterile, a mannequin with no thrill
Fighting the "negative" feelings
If only such a concept truly existed
Right, wrong, moral, immoral
Words to distract us
From the ones putting poison on the map
Discount rap, these writings are crap
I could spend all day rhyming, to try and sound smart
But I'll leave you with this:
The anthem of humanity
Should be called "Glass Sympathy"
Chandy Sep 2021
Everything we create
An extension of the mind
So when disconnection occurs
Pain and pleasure intertwine
The world goes into decline
While business increases, for the hotline

Father and son
DNA, a loaded gun
One, the alpha
Other, the omega
Built to last
Until the downcast
Shackles of one, multiplied to the rest
Divide the filler
The father, wishes to not disappoint his son
The son, wishes to not be the father
Thrown out a pigeon but no message received
Both are so deceived
But neither is perceived until one is grieved.
