Finding.
Catherine Sep 2018
The why and what,
The warmth and want.
The hands that hold,
Stories bold.
Guts of pain,
Guts of glory,
Well, Lo and behold,
Tis' my story.

To needs and deeds,
To the kindness seeds.
To brokeness,
To emptiness,
And finally to love.
From my heart,
To my heart,
In unison as one.

You learn to give,
But not yourself,
The same confetti,
The same sparkle.
Craving eternity,
You tire yourself.
Lies and truth,
Ignorance and proof,
Thoughts aloof.

Sense nonsense,
Pieces imperfect,
A puzzle game dense,
To find and perfect.
But, chaos looks pretty,
The jigsaw complete,
Each wretched end it'd meet.

Fixing my heart,
Healing my life,
Finding purpose in truth,
Hustle in strife.
To love beyond,
To bonds new formed,
For letting life,
To do it's best,
Putting worries to rest.

So this is life,
Maybe soft waves and harsh tides,
Nonetheless I'd give a try,
Pick the pieces that lie,
Putting on my brightest smile.
