MIRAGE
A man decided to love
But without enough shove.
To his dismay
Whirlwind swept away
In disrepute his dream
without a gleam.
That good villainous morning,
He awoke, greeted by mourning.
Blurred became his vision,
Vanity became his mission.
Saddened, he griefed
Though his acridity briefed.
His belief in true love flurred
As smoke swallowed into thin air.
His heart hardened as a rock,
The thought of true love makes him yock.

HARMONY IN DIVERSITY
The pigment of her people vary
But their root traced to same route.
Minerals in her; buried.
From her veins flow oil,
Her vegetation; thick and rich.

The western hurricane
blew across her field
Seeking to annihilate
Her precious produce
But firmly she stood,
Resisting any oppression.
The struggle was grave
But victory at last.

Her eyes drip with tears
For her people now live in despair.
Same sword that drove away the enemy
Is thrusted into the chest of a brother,
Unity has become a thing of the past.

Why can't our differences; buried
And the flag of oneness hoisted high again?

NO LONGER AT EASE
Our emotions shrouded with fear,
Fear that ****** like a thorn.
We're no longer at ease
For the devastation, on surge.
We sit on a time bomb,
Not privy with when it'll explode.
The wheels of the world's economies
Have grinded to a halt,
Everything has come to a standstill.
Everything that mattered; money, power...
Are now seen as trivialities.
The focal point of life
has taken a paradigm shift
from prioritizing affluence
To seeking after life.
All of a sudden,
the reality of our mortality
Has dawned on us
And we grapple for survival.
For our flaws, Lord pardon us
And let the breeze of tranquility
Blow across the surface of the earth.

WHO IS NEXT?
The world was sizzling with joy
Until you showed your ugly face.
The aura of your presence
Like acid that burn.
What have we done to deserve
The torment you inflict on us?
Your dastardly act
Spanning like wildfire
Across borders and accross continents
With no one to hold you captive,
Not even they that hold the rifle.
Could this affliction be a sanction
For our transgressions?

Thousands of souls perishing daily
Yet you continue to thrive, even harder.
Conquering new territories
And filling the world with deep melancholy.
No amount of effort to ******* you
Seem to be yielding result.
O! You wicked predicament,
Haven't you done your worst?
Have you no sense of sympathy
To compel you to lay down
Your tool of massive destruction?

We're living yet dead
For our hearts dread.
Not knowing our fate
But living by faith.
Unless God intervenes
We labor in vain.

Are you the rapture we await
Or should we continue to wait?

GRIEFING RED ROSE
Forlorn in the dungeon of melancholy,
Clamoring at the generation's folly,
Her voice too faint to make a stink.
Why would the world misconstrue
The love she advocates, for amorality?
She weeps to see this generation
Engulfed by moral degeneration
All because of her.
Her integrity at stake
For the generation's mistake,
maidens rupturing the *****
In quest to satisfy their men,
Young men gifting maidens
Their lifetime savings
As bait to lure them to bed.
She stands for love, not amorality
Thus, Flee from immorality.
