death
by socialization
call it government inoculation
degradation
Indoctrination
propaganda machines
curteousy of those in power
but existed long before
and was created, perpetuated, and spread
by the people
who create images, write rights
to ‘right’ the writs written
and adopted by politicians whose personality
was created and nurtured by you and I
and by them and us
we created politicians
bolstored their success
now we are reaping the
dissatisfaction of what we created
we ****** up
This is no longer an issue of partisan politics
we must all change our ways

Fiona

I haven’t seen you in years
I could wait a bit longer
But  I feel that
Something in my life is missing
Maybe it’s you
Maybe it’s me missing myself
I’m fixated on why
I’m still thinking about this

Gotta let it go

Reminiscing
on childhood days
Schoolyard plays
The jealousy
I had
So long ago has dissipated
Still, my feelings haven’t gone
Despite my best efforts

I don’t mind being alone
It’s made me stronger
Anyway, How are you doing
Today after all this time
I’m still the same as I was 15 years ago

I never changed
rI guess I grew up
Marginally
I’m slightly smarter
And a tad more witty
Yet I’m still
as insecure as before

Oh, Fiona

All the energy I’ve wasted
Trying to forget
I should just reach out
This isn’t obsession yet
But I fear that’ll develop

Eventually

I don’t mind being alone
It’s made me stronger
Anyway, How are you doing
Today after all this time
I’m still the same as I was 15 years ago

I’m with him
Despite his lack of morale
I’m with her
Despite corruption and false pretense
I’m with you
Despite our difference
We can work together
To be more open
And less divisive

Can’t fight the fact
That opinions aren’t universal
That humankind
Talks out of its ***
That everyone’s their own
Prison *****
I can’t be a loner
Apparently we all need
to socialize
What if we
Could work together
Resemble harmony
Without striving for perfection
With reason and rhyme
What a brighter paradigm
That would be

But it’s impossible
Because we still don’t
Understand
The difference between

Being right doing right
Everyone’s so obsessed
With being on top
When unbeknownst to them
They’re ******* themselves

I don’t have
All the answers
I’m no genius
I’m human
And ask

When did
Human  nature
Become an algorithm
That we can’t crack

We make rubble out of statues
And pain out of “ love”
I wish I wasn’t a cynic
Our nations
Starting to die so young

It’s not the left or the right
controlling us tonight
It’s us (without a doubt)
Why can’t we see

That we are the people
And we’re stronger as one
But we elect  the vote that sends us
Straight to hell

What if it were different
And we could compromise
I know that
That’ll  never happen
Emotions are to codified
And solidified by either side
Without justification

We just ebb and flow (x16)

Believing politicians
Believing in just cause
Leaves us stagnant
Brain thirsting
Knowledge is on metapuse

Do we know no better
Have we not learned
To elect to have a conteneous diagloue

Life is beautiful
Life is hard
Life’s meant to be a struggle
At times
Sometimes we
Need a break
  nothings  wrong
With escapism
Indulge yourself
And others too
But Don’t close your eyes
to the possibility
Of something new

It’s never
An excuse
It’s a means to relax
We don’t need any drugs

(To Zone out)

At peace with reality
Born free
Not committed to anyone
But ourselves
You’ll find me contented
Laying in bed
Vacationing in my
Imagination
You’ll find in deep thought
Vacationing in my
Imagination

The worlds not ****
People aren’t ****
We’re collectively cynical
To our detriment

Over the wall
Across the mote
Make way for the siege

Their architects
And engineers
Defected to me
Without a fight

A shadow cast over the sun
And a heavenly light showered me
“ you will be great” it said
Free people from division

You are Genghis
You are man
You will unite all peoples
And shadow the sun

Kosovo

Let it fall and rise
Like Kosovo
With respect and reverence
Like Rome and the Byzantines
Or Constantinople

Give them liberty
Impunity
Immunity from the tyranny
Of former countries
Why must history
Stubbornly refuse death
