those thunder noises
those lightning strikes
those dark nights with
raindrops from the skies
i wish you were here
to hold me close &
i wish i was there to
hold up your hopes
you & i sat there
on the window sills
of our bedrooms
the people parted us
and so did the cities
but the rain always
held our hearts to
proximity

you are not here anymore
you are not here to hold me close
when i wake up terrified in the
middle of the nights
you are not here to kiss me
each morning when we wake up
you are not here to hold me tight under the sheets
you are only somewhere i cannot reach
you are only somewhere i cannot feel you
don't you miss me
don't you imagine your hands
running down my body
don't you want to read those books
to me again
i think you don't
you never really wanted to do these things
to me in the first place
you did it because your friends told you to
you shattered me and you broke me
and now i'll never be the one who can love
someone again

Cryptic creature, mystic eyes
Compelling features that hypnotize
The grandeur in your intricate train
Speaks royalty, majestic reign
Yet you live in zoo's, encaged
Where other creatures envy and raged

Never underestimate the power of women,
If they have the last say in any argument,
Imagine what they are capable of.
