I love nature and everything about it, yet for long tracks of time I find myself locked in Detroit. A city of broken concrete, twisted steel, and yellow nights. / Hopefully I will disappear over the summer and return in the fall with some new poems that aren't so influenced by the city. / / For anyone who wants to know a bit of my background, I was born and raised in Marquette Michigan. This experience has defined me as a person, not many have spent their time as children jumping from waterfalls or meeting black bears, and If you ever see a naked man skinny dipping in lake Superior there's a good chance that it's me. I still spend my summers there but I go to school in Detroit and Wayne State University and the city life is rather odd and the concrete environment is rather new to me.
