Poetry to me represents the beauty of emotion, the wisdom of experience, the pain of loss, the sweetness of love and the mystery of life / / Writing a poem allows me to bring forth my inner and often bottled up emotions, to voice my fears and embrace my pain, to share my joy and shine my love. But it also allows me to remember my thoughts, my emotions. When I read the poems I wrote in the past, often days, months, years later, the feelings have passed but I still have these words to be able to go back to and treasure, often so much more meaningful then a picture. / / Reading poetry shows me that we are all human, it shows me that there is beauty everywhere, in all of us, and that there are so many new things to experience, so many emotions that need to be expressed and I am so grateful to be able to read and cherish so many writers. / / Thank you
