Let's all be very honest with ourselves for a moment:
We all find our woven words beautiful.

So let me wax poetic for a moment
On something far from lovely.

I lie down to sleep with some form of white noise
To distract me from the sounds outside of my window.

Yet they claw their way in and past my barrier,
Leaving my eyes open and my brain racing.

I lose thirty minutes, an hour, two hours
Before I'm too exhausted to remain awake.

All because the night so perfectly recreates
The very soundtrack of my deepest fears.
i'm a pretentious ******* who copes with my paranoia and anxiety by trying to make the fears something pretty
somewhere within my state is a base
a military base
that's incredibly important to our government

i hate it

planes fly overhead at night
always at night
and i never know what they're for

are they for crops, or for war

and they make me scared
scared and sick
because we could get bombed any minute now

who's to say this isn't the last minute i have
to my fellows with paranoia over impending nuclear war
The stars of the city scape are artificial;
They lack the life their interstellar counterparts brim with.

Neon and hydrogen thrive in both of their souls,
But where one is natural,
The other is forced.

And yet those who live in their light
Can’t tell the difference between fake and real.
for the city kids who just want a piece of starlight
the last people you would expect to make comments on society
would be matt stone and trey parker
creators of south park, one of tv's most "offensive" television series

but despite all of the crass humour
and the continuous jabs
its satire is inexplicably profound

many people often reduce the jokes to just that
jokes
but the people who understand satire see past it

and that is exactly what has let south park endure
the blatant satire appeals to two entirely different crowds
but only one actually understands what's going on
to all the fans of south park who have caught on

— The End —
